The "saxophone standard" video has taught me more than my school teacher has in 6 years, I can't thank you enough for doing this and doing it so well.
I listened to this series of performances every day throughout middle and high school. It challenged me to engage music on a deeper level and to this day, I’m super grateful for that. I’m not some superstar musician today but playing saxophone still brings me so much joy!!!
I love the baritone player, but also the tenor is a badass saxophonist. The soprano player is simply amazing and the alto player has a well-rounded and beautiful sound!! Good job! Cheers from Italy!
Such a Beautiful Bari sound, and I'm a tenor
Bari player is nailing the tone
This is absolutely my favorite saxophone quartet piece, and your group's interpretation/recording is the best one I've ever heard, I would go far as to say it's perfect!! Amazing performance, guys. Please keep posting! I really wanna hear your full recording of XAS!
You guys rock...
Extraordinary togetherness! Beautifully flowing notes. Most of the "impressionistic" repertoire also brings to mind a peaceful jolliness, a relaxed happiness. Before WW1, that sentiment was strong. Can we ever get it back??
Whenever I need a lift! You guys are awesome! Thank you so much!
Keep posting the sax quartet stuff. You guys are awesome!
Made my day! Thanks for posting another great saxophone quartet. I'm telling all my sax students and friends to listen carefully to your exceptional examples of saxophone playing. Keep posting more!
Playing this piece for a couple of performances, great reference for me. Always great to listen to!
Christopher, you continue to impress me. Well done to you and to the Field Band quartet!
Trying to play this for auditions, and am listening and playing along with your recording. It's helping so much.
Very lovely and blended quartet sound!! Also a great version of this piece, fantastic work guys!
