This guy has found his "voice" three times. Fucking thrice he's done it.
First he gave voice to Tool
Then he goes into another direction and brings APC
Then he just goes full badass and makes videos of himself hunting coyotes and shit
And his three bands are better than half the music that's been released

pa1n1san1llus1on Hahahahaha we all have that tiny voice in our head that tells us FUCK YOU MAYNARD STOP DIGGING DIRT
But it's ok man, at least we know he's enjoying himself, and that if he does make a new album is gonna be because he wants to, and I fucking love Tool

    Wake up, son of mine
Momma got something to tell you
    Changes come
    Life will have it's way
    With your pride, son
    Take it like a man
    Hang on, son of mine
A storm is blowing up your horizon
    Changes come
    Keep your dignity
    Take the high road
    Take it like a man
    Listen up, son of mine
Momma got something to tell you
    All about growing pains
    Life will pound away
Where the light don't shine, son
    Take it like a man
Suck it up, son of mine
    Thunder blowing up your horizon
    Changes come (Changes come)
Keep your dignity (Keep your dignity)
Take the high road (Take the high road)
Take it like a man (Take it like a man)
Momma said like the rain (This, too, shall pass)
Like a kidney stone (This, too, shall pass)
It's just a broken heart, son
    This pain will pass away

My wife left me 7 years ago, hid my kids from me for 2 months. A random hookup I was using as a distraction during that time turned me on to this song. I'd listen to this for hours on repeat. That random hookup is still a great friend of mine and this song still packs the same punch it did back then.

I love how Maynard's voice is so relaxed and deep in this, as opposed to the higher, more aggressive tenor he uses in his other projects. Such a versatile singer.

Music is a true form of enlightenment through Maynard. My life has proven to be magnificently difficult and painfully intricate, but Maynard helps me through it all with a light. Seeing him live with Tool was a religious experience, very emotional and gratifying, I would never forgive myself if I didn't get to do it again, especially with Puscifer.

I grew up with Tool, only have a dozen songs I skip. One is a recording of a cat being squeezed, I think you can deduce the rest.
APC is... hit and miss. Some songs are beyond great, while others are "Why did you EVEN...?"
Puscifer on the other hand feels like a loose blend. Heavy experimentation in pseudo-tech music, some decent heaviness in certain songs, some serious lyrics along with a smooth groove in others, even some quasi-spiritual stuff. Also self-deprecation abound (Tiny Monsters, et al.)
I'm a BIG fan of the recyclable band. Create something NEW with every performance.
I applaud Maynard's work in... most instances.
That absurd eccentric wino is a batshit lunatic, and a fuckin' genius.

Well, thank you! I did not notice that! But, alas, I am just a simple Serb and not a native English speaker (my German is better, my Spanish not really). Smart as you are, you must have noticed that from my name and the absence of vulgarisms in my comment surely told you that I am not American. It is a very obvious mistake and I had wondered why I made it until I saw that it was written on a Friday night, meaning that I must have been previously out drinking all afternoon and evening after work (something we grown ups do after working all week, so that you children could enjoy your puberty in peace and listen to the good music that we listened to in the 90's). In due consideration of the state I was in and the fact that I have never been to a country of native English speakers, I think that my comment was quite excellently written. Thank you once again. In return for the free grammar lesson I received, feel free to write a comment in Serbian and I, too, will gladly point out your mistakes.

As far as John Snow is concerned ... yes, he was stabbed, I can't recall how many times, but, for the less intelligent readers who didn't pay attention, his fate remains unknown. I assume that the red priestess will get him back from the dead and bla, bla ... In any case, he was stabbed five years ago and I would like to know if my guess was correct before I die of old age.

Cody James, believe it or not, James Maynard Keenan was shown more in that concert than any other....he has stage fright!!! coming to the drummers area and facing sideways was his way of trying to work through it!

ToolfanJeffro bc we have a repeat button. Unfortunately, some of the best songs are the shortest. sigh. it definitely isn't long enough. I get sick of pressing repeat.
