Fun fact about Faraya's boots: they were found on Classic and the highest offer there was only 2 SoJ, so he considered converting them and posted it on LoD to gauge interest. Then all the Asia guys swarmed on that thread (the definition of "tri-res" for Asian PvP is CR/LR/PR, not CR/LR/FR) and sent it the absolute moon with their offers.
I think Faraya closed around 140k and converted them, and the Classic community wept that they lost such a gg item from circulation. Word has it if you scroll far enough down the trading sections, you can still hear the residual echoes of their lamentation to this day.
Paying that much for poison res is pretty bizarre; wouldn't it be far better to have Poison Length Reduction and the 3 normal elements??
It blows my mind that someone would overpay that much for those boots. Not even cold/light/fire.
@@andrew1435 it was a true bidding war too. Some of the American users were trying to flex at each other when it was in the high lowballs (10-30k, "omg it's not worth that much" "I can keep going" "I can keep going to 50k" etc etc), but then the Asian buyers showed up, a few at least, and even they tapped each other out. I think one of em had to quit at 110k, then it went on between the two of them into the 130s.
It was crazy. I didn't think the value on PR was THAT high, (but they were still GFG 5 point boots otherwise), but it turns out Asia had different GM rule set that allows stacking poison/charms or something, I forget. But something that was BM on Americas. So here we are @_@
Would rather play classic than use hacked items like runewords and charms lol and wasnt expansion created based on the echoes of all the noobs complaining to make the game easier for them?
The boots aren't that great for classic, poison is totally useless hence the low offers compared to lod
My biggest fear in D2 is finding one of these random magic/rare items, not realizing it's GG, and selling it ... The horror.
I did that way back with a rare sword sold it for 800 fgs then that guy sold it for 40k fgs lol

I remember playing LoD long ago and am good with remembering numbers. One day I sold near-perfect Waterwalks (which I didn't know was worth more since I was like 12) and realized later looking on a pricing list that they were worth around 15 Ist which was alot at the time. Think I got maybe 2 Ist for them
the dex barb ammy also gives a nice boost to attack rating not just block

As a former classic PvPer on east, we had so many insane duped boots to choose from back in the day that had 45+ tri resistances, they were so busted. Rings and amulets too, too. Will never see them in this iteration of the game but that might be a good thing lol.

Last item made me think of a Bow I got last night. It rolled +14 to minimum damage, its damage was 17-18. I thought it was hilarious.

I am so glad insight can be made in a bow . Here I am Rocking 5th act in hell with nothing more than a low roll insight great bow and a low defense Peace armor . That armor is easy to make and the Valkyrie cast really helps give my merc a little more survivability . I can actually run without a merc with her popping in to help all the time . LoL !!

I found a 270% eth 5os Runemaster in like 2006. Probably the rarest roll I ever got in D2.
That shadow plate was upgraded right? A few off possible max with 195 ed I believe, sick reroll on a roll.
There's always that one item that compels me to create a character based on it. It's always a weapon or for casters a godly rare circlet or something....Maybe I'm a noob but shields, boots, belts, or gloves never really make me say "ok it's time to make a [new char here].

Regarding the Amazon circ with ed/max: Is this really bugged? I thought ed/min/max bug only comes from socketed jewels, not from base stats by themselves...
I've read that if you spawn it as a base (using the circlet shown as an example) then it isn't bugged, can't test myself atm.

Phase blades cannot spawn ethereal, though crystal swords and dimensional blades can, so you could up those to a phase blade.

i knew spirit perfect roll was good, but not that expensive. I rolled a perfect when i played classic D2 like 10 years ago that i still remember. My friends thought i meant only the "important rolls" were perfect but nah, it was actually perfect on every single stat. Got a bunch of high runes but ultimately i got less than it was worth probably, but i was happy anyways!

8:17 EUR and USD are pretty similar. 2250€ are about $2300 right now. Not quite 2 million
About the rare pb in 2:59 ideally you would want to look for a rare crystal sword or dimensional blade that is eth and then up it to a pb. I remember in the original d2 lod pvp fury druids used those rare eth pbs with x2 40% edmg/15% was jewels in it. But I think fury's logic had changed before whirlwind.
I upped a dimensional blade and it lost it's etheral. Still confused about it.
@@chadpunte1731 I need to test this myself. The original D2 LoD has plenty of them on nl I'm sure. It worked on the original game. Weird.
@@chadpunte1731 I just tested it on a rare Crystal Sword and double upped it. The Phase Blade still kept the ethereal. I had to waste an Um rune offline to find out too. I hope you did not say this to troll me.

Unfortunately, the Euro to USD conversion right now puts the dollar above the euro. So it's cheaper to buy itemz with euroz.

One day I will make trophy room… I entered a FCR dual leech max resist ring but got deleted because it wasn’t good enough… I thought FCR dual leech rings were rare enough since it’s the first one I have found since D2R came out but apparently I’m just not as lucky as these other fools 😂🤷🏻♂️

I don't know who puts the price on these items. All of the " 100 " ber rune items can be bought from websites for like $30 ( about 6 ber runes )

7:30 the Viper Heart Jewel doesn't have all perfectly spawned mods. The minimum damage on that jewel could have rolled as high as 18 :P

Wish I had some of my old trophies from back in the day, sadly it's tough to know how much of them were involved in duping in some form or another, but I played ES Lightning Sorc and had several hundred thousand FG worth of crafts and rares in the peak of my PvP days. When I ended up quitting the game I sold the whole character for a "measly" $250 USD
i found a similar axe before, it's ethereal, has 5 sockets, over 100~500 damage, and is indestructible. compared with grief and i dumped it.

Could you make video explaining why those items are so expensive? In D2 LoD I would find them every day but people didn't even want them for Lem/Pul so I ended up selling them for ingame gold.
Idk, there has to be some hermetic group that plays pvp daily, and only they would buy em. Otherwise its hard to sell that stuff for even a pul, so im kinda always laughing at such video's.
