Your channel is by far the one of which I save most videos to watch again later. Brilliant videos, thank you very much. Never ever will I watch anything from Toneh Northflop or FrodoKnowsNothing again, I don't get why they have a bazillion followers and you only so little. That'll change my friend!
So many photographers mention the 6x6 format as a drawback. It's nice to hear someone talk about 6x6 or square images as an asset. I crop many of my digital photos to make them square. I just bought a Yashica A and can't wait to start shooting with it.
Mai visto delle immagini così belle con così tanta grana, complimenti! Poi oh, modesta opinione... In ogni caso uno dei video che meglio spiegano il discorso del rapporto d'aspetto! Saluti!
I stumbled across your channel around a month ago, and I think it's the most inspiring, enjoyable and relaxing photography channel that I've ever connected with. I've shot film for around 4 years now and have recently purchased a Yashica Mat 124G. I thought 6x7 was my preferred aspect ratio but I feel 6x6 is very exciting and I can relate to everything you've discussed here, and various other posts of yours too. Please keep up the great work. You're an inspiring individual and someone who lots of photographers can connect with and learn from.
Correct me if I'm wrong. I've got 3:2 sensor, so I take 3:2 pictures and them crop them to whatever I need. This way I get the highest possible image resolution. 3:2 on my camera is 6000x4000 and 16:9 is 6000x3376.
Me alegro mucho, Luis. 1:1 es mucho más que el formato original de Instagram, y te permite crear composiciones que en otros formatos no funcionan. Es algo distinto, y una vez te acostumbras, no hay vuelta atrás! Buena suerte.
Hi, honestly speaking you are the first one i decided to follow here on YT. One question if you dont mind. Hov do you make the "on paper published pictures" ???? I mean the looks of a photo on paper bud digital? I would like to do it but cannot find anything helpful. Thank you. (I hope you understand what I mean.
would have loved to see and hear some tips and explanations for portrait style photos. shooting portrait orientation on 3x4 or 1x1 seem a lot harder than landscape
Why isn't it possible to shoot square in Raw on a DSLR? Only JPEG format is possible to have the image automatically cropped. But the quality isn't the same for final manipultaion. Any help?
Really enjoyed this and lots of very helpful advice. It's such a shame that finding modern digital camera that have aspect ratios of 1:1 or 4x5 is not easy.
It is a shame. I don't understand it. Not only they should support the most common aspect ratios but they should let you set your own. It's just an overlay on top of the live view...
Hola Adrián! Gracias por el video! Yo llevo mas de un año disparando muchos panoramas y estoy usando el formato de la xpan de Hasselblad (6.5 : 2.4) y la verdad es que es muy resultón por si quieres probar algún cropeo ;)
The 3:2 aspect really feels more and more boring to me. Since I switched (back) to analog photography a few years ago and shooting medium format in 4:3 it really tend to cut my frames square, because it is a different and condensed way of composing your shots which I find highly pleasing. Extreme panoramas are the other extreme I very much enjoy. But these days I shy away from shooting images in 3:2 or even in a more cinematic 16:9 which a lot photographers do these days. I watch a lot 90's tv productions and the way their shots are composed is just something else than modern 16:9 productions. And it works. 4:3 kinda has this nostalgic flair to it and that is why a lot people s**t-talk about it as being "inferior" but can't really make a conclusive argument why that is.
You have the best photography channel on UA-cam. Thank you once again for the great content.

Nicely done. The use of AI as allowed one to change AR in PS.....will fill in needed details with amazing facility...and continues to improve.

Great video, as always
When I finally let myself unlock that cropping tool from the 3:2 ratio I felt so liberated and inspired to edit and re-edit my images!

Gracias por compartir tus conocimientos.
Me has animado a intentar 1:1, te lo agradezco mucho.
Gracias por crear y sobre todo enseñar

Excellent video Adrian and even if the kind of photographs people plan to make are the polar opposite of your style, the principles still hold good.

Great stuff! I second what was said by others - best photography channel on youtube! Truly inspirational - Thank you!
Great explanation. When you shot in 1:1 aspect ratio, do you use rule of third? Thanks for sharing this video
1:1 is hard for me to shot a product.
You’re appearance is as minimalistic and clear as your art …. Good stuff no fluff …
love this video, and 1:1

1:1 was my favorite aspect ratio until I tried 6:7
