My Honest Take on the New Fontainebleau in Las Vegas 🔥

- Опубліковано 5 чер 2024
- In this video we review the newest Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, The Fontainebleau. In this video you can see if it's worth staying or not at the property based on food choices, rooms, prices and much more. The $3.7B left a lot of be desired in my opinion but I see a bright future ahead.

being this "up-scale" and "bougie" across the street from circus circus is wild lol
On gawd 😂 😂😂
I miss the old Vegas- the over the top themed casinos with outside shows . There was an exciting energy throughout the casinos. Now, it's just like a giant shopping mall.
Well said, me too! It's all money money now. Missed the ol days
@@PlanetKaosIRL I want a time machine to go back to 1960 and catch a Rat Pack show.
save me a seat 😏@@jackmeeellleee4896
I mean there is a big mall inside of the lower level.
Vegas is turning into an overpriced place mostly for wealthy people or people who enjoy being gouged and think they are balling by paying $20 for a Coors Light at the pool and $8 for a bottle of water. I agree it has lost much of it's old charm. It's now just a generic place with very little character. These new places are luxurious yes....but when playing in the casino it all starts to feel very same-y anyway. The very high end places just aren't very fun to gamble in quite frankly. I would stick to downtown or off strip for gambling but most people not from Vegas will want to be on the strip not isolated at some off strip hotel 7 miles away from everything.
It's not even a good place for food or entertainment anymore. You can see the same concerts or shows for 1/3 the price in another city. Or get just as good a steak somewhere else.
Stop omg I love you and Ruby!! Only Vegas reviewers I watch!!
Great review! Thanks for the exploration of the new property!
I always enjoy your content. Actually just finished up your live from a few days ago. Hope you had a good new year!!
Thank you! Happy New Year Jessica!
It’s too brightly lit for me, somewhat tacky, but the burger place Capons upstairs is excellent
I think it’s a one-and-done for me
Great video as always
I'd like to go back for the steakhouse and now that burger
That’s what it is! I think you hit it on its head. The lobby is amazing but with out a lighting team they missed out on the opportunities to add a little drama or mystery to the place. I would have liked to see some more spotlights on the art work to make it feel even more grand. Which is why I feel it’s giving mall or airport vibes
Thanks
I agree the lobby is really very cool
It would be even better if the light inside those twisty plastic rods could slowly cycle/change colors
Just some more mood would be great to create a vibe. The word “sterile” kept coming to mind on my first visit. It does have a lot going for it so there’s room for improvement. And I don’t wish for failure or anything.
I might have to go back in a few months for another burger or another slice of that Miami pizza. The hot honey pepperoni slice is probably the best pizza I’ve ever had. 😎
You're right, that's what is wrong with it: too bright.
Another great video! You're the man🤙🤙
Thanks brotha!
Hey dude, just stumbled across this video and I appreciate the down to Earth and honest quality of your commentary. Good stuff.
I haven’t been to Vegas in decades, but if I were to stay at a new hotel, I would also expect everything to be open.
Great review appreciate the content. Happy New Year 🎉
For that algorithm nice one boss, top video!
Thanks for the review!
My pleasure!
I totally agree with you on opening the casinos once they are complete. It’s like a tease.
Always fire content 💪
Thank you!!
Love what you're doing hope to meet you when we visit Vegas. We usually go twice a year, KEEP GOING! This is amazing content and so helpful.
This upcoming trip will be number 7 for us and we're going to a few of the places you suggested.
Love to hear that Marcus! Will keep hammering at it!
Hi Jorge! Masxed Lady here :)..Happy New Year! Another terrific video! Go George!
Best in the game. Happy new year Jorge
Love u Paul!!
I was in vegas over new years and I stopped in. To be honest it felt like I was in a shopping mall more than a casino.
I wasn't impressed at all. I walked around once and left. I probably won't ever stay there.
on some level nowadays, if they’re going to justify being on the strip, they need BIG revenue. and if you need BIG revenue, you need PEOPLE. and if you need a lot of PEOPLE, you need to build in a way that accommodates CROWDS. which is why all these places look like nicer-than-average airports
you right about the feeling but they have a solid restaurant line up!
The mall vibe threw me off. It didn’t give me the Vegas environment that I was craving for. But I’m sure it will work for others. 👍🏼
We were there on the first day after opening. To be honest, we were disappointed. Beautiful property but lacked atmosphere. Didn't seem to have a fun vibe. Played slots for quite awhile and didn't get one line hit or bonus. Cocktail waitress finally showed up after about an hour. I ordered a coffee. After about 1/2 hour she came back and said coffee maker for her station wasn't working. No fun! And food prices were astronomical. Why are people ok with price gouging? We don't mind paying a fair price but don't like getting taken advantage of. Wont be back
Great review, Jorge! Some good food spots to try out 👍
Fire vid. Looks like an awesome new property.
Thanks Tom!
Your content has so much class. Thank you.
Thanks for your review and honest observations Jorge. Looks very elegant and very expensive but it probably appeals to a certain clientele group.
Thanks for the tour was great coming next week
I stayed the same night you and Travel Ruby checked in. I enjoyed the restaurants and the room was beautiful but I don't think I will stay there again. I had a difficult time trying to get my complete folio at check out, charging things to my room, and receiving tier/rewards points after my stay. I wish the higher ups had worked out more of these issues beforehand. It's frustrating having to call the hotel back several times after you return home and getting transferred to dead extension lines.
On a more positive note, the pasta at Mother Wolf is a must try! Komodo is also really excellent.
I had a similar experience. They have some things that need ironing out for sure. Met Ruby and her husband right before she stayed at FB. Great people
I'm staying at the Fontainebleau in June. I got a Queen Bleu room for 145 per night +resort fee. Thanks for the video. I'm looking forward to the experience.
Thanks for sharing. Im glad it's finally done.
This was a really good honest review. And dude is good looking in those glasses. 👓😍
haha two thanks
I miss the themed hotels/casinos. I'd rather stay at NY/NY than Fontaineblue or Resorts World.
I don’t see anything at Fontainebleau that would make me choose it over Venetian or Wynn down the street, hell I’d rather stay at Luxor over FB
Agreed! Bring back themes. The best vegas hotels have a theme. The new ones are pretty but all look very similar. It’s not special without a theme of some kind
@@uptildawnltd3253 Luxor? Lol. No
@@RuthyLook Luxor? lol, yes
@@uptildawnltd3253 How do you prefer your dirty rooms and bed bugs?
The Fontainebleau looks like a nice place, I agree with you about the retail Jorge, everything should be open when the casino opens
Another great video 😀
thank you!!
Very well done video!
Great video George. Did you do this video before New Year's. Helena
HI Helena! Yes I did
Same issue as when Resorts World was starting up. Quite barren. But if you like less hustle and bustle in your home hotel, this is a great place to stay now.
so true
Bro, we went the 2nd day it opened. Thoroughly unimpressed. It was like a Hospital opened a Casino. I got flashbacks of the Hospital scene in Bicentennial Man and the "I Robot" scene at the company. Willing to check it out again but 1st impression was not good. Oh, and the Uber pickup? Sucks.
I love how honest you are with everything you say
Th architecture of the interior is elegant and beautiful!
excellent video
thank you!!!
Great coverage! What no fridge plugged in! Well, it's better than the Circus, Circus with moldy refridgerator with rotting food inside! Ha! Wondering if their game-floor will improve / expand!
hey, free snacks at Circus Circus is all I heard
It's about time that place opened up I first saw it in 2013 now I can finally go in
beeeeeen soooo long bro!
Hey! Thanks for the video, I will be traveling to Vegas for the first time to primarily go to the Las Vegas Convention Center. How close / walkable is this hotel to the Convention Center?
reminds me of our casino here in elk grove california. from abandoned mall to casino.
I like your no frills honest reviews Jorge, they are to the point about what you think anyway happy new year we'll catch you on the next video.
Thanks so much!
Those shops probably won’t be filled or opened in a while especially if they’re on the expensive side. I love the bow tie theme of the property.
Thanks for the honest review, I think it will deliver in time. However at top tier prices, we shouldn't have to wait.
exactly right, completely agree
Nice tour of the place. I booked their corner suite for my trip back to Vegas this April, and I am looking forward to exploring the place in person. I think that's the trend with these new Resorts opening. I'm aging myself, but I remember when The Aria and Costmo first opened, not many of their restaurants and stores weren't opened.
I heard that too! but I was a young buck to see that
@@Vegas-Must-Try Yeah, I stayed at both The Aria and Costmo a couple of weeks after they opened and a lot of the bars, restaurants and other places were not opened yet. I think it is just impossible to get everything ready all at once when a giant resort opens. The owners of those bars, shops and restaurants needs to hire people and get their stuff ready and it just takes time to make it happen.
I always thought it was pronounced 'Font' rather than 'Fount'. BTW, I am a sub and really like your videos!
It technically is Font
You guys are right! I miss pronounced it all video!
Apparently the proper pronunciation for Americans is “Fountain blue”. 🤷♀️
Looks super nice, but also like the new airport terminals popping up everywhere.
So beautiful. I gotta check it out
Def worth the visit!
O dang bad birria taco . That sux paying those prices for meh tacos. Ooo that Dulce de leche crepe looks good . I may go check out this hotel when I go to Vegas next Great video Jorge
You should! at least walking around LIndaaaa!
@@Vegas-Must-Tryfor sure I will be there in Feb .
I saw that the parking/structure is going to be a major issue.
Pizza looks amazing but it's about treble what I'd pay for the exact same thing where I live here in the UK. Hotel itself looks really nice but it's location is going to be a problem and I can only think they are appealing to convention traffic and people willing to pay top dollar not to leave their resort.
Being younger too seeing this lifeless in the dark for so many years it’s great to see it open I hope it’s a good omen for the economy
me too bro, glad it's finally open
Oh I was wondering if anyone knew the story as to why the “fb” was removed from the side of the building. It was about halfway up the tower but it was removed at some point. Hmmm
The house that the Koch brothers built? No thank you. Never find me there. But, totally enjoy your energy and videos!
thank you for watching at least lol
I'll be coming to Vegas in February. Is the Fontainebleau far walk from Treasure Island?
Another great review,
We still on for F1 GP 2024?
Apparently the mini fridge is ‘weight activated’. Put something inside and it will turn on
Before I always thought was this FB a FaceBook hotel ??? Facebook is building a hotel ?!!! Lol
Did your refrigerator turn on at some point?
They are going to make a killing with the superbowl coming soon. A two week long party and celebration for superbowl week before and after the big game. Those hotels will sell out. Vegas accommodations are the destination, perfect for this consumer fest. Food, drink, and entertainment oh my
It's a beautiful place. Hopefully they
will prevent smoking in most areas.
I didn’t see any non-smoking areas but did notice that they don’t have any ashtrays anywhere on the slots and no ashtrays on garbages and people are resorting to killing their cigarette butt on the metal part of the slot and ashing over the carpets.
Nice tour of the room, casino, bars and eateries. Can’t wait to see where they are operating at 100% with the shops and pools.
So excited for the pool! you're totally right!!!
A lot of times art can't be explained..it's what the artist created in their mind
Greta review and yes I follow Ruby and Mr. Ruby
They're great people!
Excellent, not sure about the NA beer though...
Great video. FB has a ways to go to meet it's potential but still a great place to visit/stay. Just don't pay $600 a night like I did 😂
Wow!! Papi Steak is already down to three stars on yelp with a plethora of 1 star reviews.
that does not surprise me at all.
Doesn't surprise me! it's a bit gimmicky BUT i still would like to try
A video of Jorge with the briefcase tomahawk would be 😎
Was there the same time as you and Ruby. I was thrilled to meet her and Mr. Ruby - very nice, down to earth people. Sorry I missed you. In short, the place is beautiful, the rooms very luxurious (also not had a chance for anything to be damaged since it is all new), and it has potential. But you are right - it was not ready to open. Across the board, the staff tried hard but was inept. I had to call housekeeping three times to have my linens changed and it never happened. Nobody knew where anything was. My second night the TV went out and I was later told it was an issue with their provider. No TV late night. And their two sorry excuses for a gift shop are shockingly bad - you cannot get a small bottle of liquor to take to your room, only huge ones. It is also so huge it makes the MGM Grand seem like a boutique hotel. If it overcomes its growing pains, it could be a great hotel one day but that day is not here yet. Bellagio and Wynn are still the tops for classic Vegas comfort and style.
A Travel Ruby cameo is fun. I’ll be there this coming long weekend. I’ll have to check this place out.
My first time in Vegas as adult in 2008 i stay at the Riviera and the big blue building sat there for years i hear rumors that they ran out of money 💰 for this project. That location sucks u got Circus circus across the street and its not safe at night over there. Nice hotel im coming for Super Bowl 🏈 i will stop by and check it out.
Jorge is such a cutie agree button ⏬
Whooooooooooooaaa delish!!!
oh wow i didnt even know a new casino hotel is up, i never walked past the resort world.
I love Travel Ruby
damn that pizza that you showed us on your favorite Vegas food spots killed that one that was only 16 bucks
Another great video, looks like a fantastic property. Thanks for sharing the video!
Thanks Ryan!
We wanted coffee at the bar and they did not have any 😢. I did have iced tea at the slot machine and it was so good. Wish I knew what sort of tea it was.
do they have a fitness centre
Best just go on down the way to Tacos el Gordo for those prices sheesh! 🌮
much better deal there forreal!
Jorge!!!
Best looking Vegas UA-camr ( don’t tell Jaycation I said that 😂😂)
Just took a screenshot! gonna show him
@@Vegas-Must-Try noooooo 😂😂
Solid review..I agree that they should wait and open when totally complete. I stayed at the cosmo right when it opened and it was the same experience. The only good thing about it was that was the only time I could afford the cosmo..lol
I guess that's super common
I follow Ruby and Mr Ruby too. Helena
that was pretty small size at Bar Ito
Once, or sometimes more than that, I have traveled to Vegas for the past 24 years. The room looks nice but I cannot justify that cost for one night to be at the North end of the Strip. I plan to visit again in June so I expect prices to be about $100 more than what you just paid when pool season comes. I will stay with the dependable Elara, which I know is not exactly the cheapest either but it does have a kitchenette with a working fridge:) Thank you for this!
👍
I’m gonna assume this video was done before the New Year’s resolution, lol.
it was. Grand opening week!
Nice!
never too many food halls
Great review of this property. I feel that Vegas has mass amnesia and they do not learn from past economic lessons. FB acts like the pandemic did not happen. Small portions at high prices on the food. Room rates are going to be even higher once the pools open. Who cares about luxury shopping?
They have already fired a senior exec. I heard that the staff was stuffy and the gaming floor has been dead, partly due to not matching tier points. They could learn a thing or two from Durango, which gets away with overcharging somehow.
They have fired MULTIPLE senior executives. The place has been open, what, a month? Not even. They lost a lot of higher-ups in the lead-up to opening, too. The bean-counters are running the show. That's why shops aren't open, why the pool isn't open, why tier-matching isn't happening.
Looks really nice. Will have to reserve judgement untill I’m there in person but I will agree with others who say it looks like fancy airport terminal or expensive mall.
No doubt low ceiling over table games is to keep the thousands of cameras close to the action !
Is there really demand for more high end rooms 300 & up ?? All new properties are very expensive - no more food courts now it’s called a food hall & prices are double. Call me cheap but I’m not comfortable spending 30-50.00 for fast food lunch.
With all my complaining will always ❤️ Vegas !
Btw - excellent vids
All the best in new yr for u your channel & your community ✌️🇨🇦
Expensive airport lol! Love it thanks for watching!!
Even if it's just to see it after 16-17 years of how it came to be, I wanna go here even if only once.
I actually really like this casino now
Thanks so much for this! My impression from all of the influencer vids I've watched so far (which are your circle of Vegas influencers) is that, unlike Resorts World, Fontainebleau knows what it wants to be, but just isn't quite there yet. From a business standpoint, it looks like the rollout was handled by a bunch of rookies, although I'm sure that's not the case. After 16 years of hype and waiting, the thing should be ready to go. No alcoholic beer? That's just f*cking sloppy. All of the unopened stores is a big head-shaker too. Still, it's on the top of my list in terms of hotel-casinos to check out. That final drink you had sounded rather scary, and I'm impressed that you said it was actually drinkable!
I enjoyed my stayed
Located at the end of the strip, this room rate is not going to uphold for long….
Lafountain Blue looks like it could be great, but it is weird that it took so long to open but more like 65% open. Still, I’m looking forward to visiting on my next trip there.😊
at least the pool is looking like it's going to be super nice
Was the tub big enough for two? I signed up for the rewards card and they gave me a 30% off offer for a Bleau or Gold room. Trying to stay there my next trip.
Their offers are deceiving. Click bait. Not falling for it.
Tasteless tacos at $3.50 a bite, $18 tasteless drinks $11 bottled water? No thank you😮
An apparently honest, non-biased video. Much appreciated!
The food hall looks pretty plain and the selections are not great. But on the other hand, the restaurant looks good.
❤
will turn out like resorts world..deadAF lolz ..huge casino floor with dat tall ceilings and that hugeAF gold chandelier doe...looks nice cuz its new and shit but its just bad location, north strip where theres NO foot traffic
Maybe they'll help each other out during events and such
