- At Auto City in El Cajon, CA, we've had a number of BMW e82 1-series cars come and go. As a 2009 with 112k miles, this Bluewater Metallic 128i happened to be one of the oldest, most high mileage and cheapest cars we've had on the lot. But it had something special that the other 1-series cars didn't have. A 6-speed manual transmission! It's actually quite a rare thing to find a stick shift car these days, so it was a real treat to drive this one. And after having driven it, I realized it was the first time I drove an e82 as the Gods had intended. This future classic is really in it's element with a stick shift. And I truly believe it's day is upon us, and the e82 1-series is destined to become the next classic BMW!

My 08 has the 6mt sport and premium packages with no I drive. Graphite grey with brown leather inside (terra I think). I feel lucky to own it and wouldn't sell for any car sold today. Absolute gem. Fun, engaging, confident, and so satisfying to flog. Love it.

I'm already on my second e30, and hoping to snatch up a 944 before they demand 911 prices! However, I am still a big fan of this 128. The last great car BMW built. If you find a well maintained e30 that's clean and doesn't need too much, I would jump on it. They are reliable, durable little cars that are rapidly appreciating. I will never get rid of mine, it will see 1 million miles.
Good to know, I daily drive an E30, but if someday I want to replace it, this is going to be my new car.

I have a 09 128i. Silver with the red interior. I have the automatic still a blast to drive even more so when the convertible top is off. I also have done some mods to it. What a great emgine. Classy and sporty styling. Has 70k miles and still have had 0 issues
I got a 08 m sport 128 six speed standard with manual sport seats, no navi bs, blk on blk. its a total blast without the n54 repair headaches. I've owned 4-500hp musclecars & german sedans they dont compare to this pure experience in power to weight simplicity. I love it.
Great video. The 128i with a 6MT is the best car out there for the money and it is definitely a future classic. Bonus if you can find one with the M-Sport package. My good friend has one and I drove it late last year. Most pure BMW I've driven in a while. His was a 2013 and still had none of the electronic stuff on it - just a bare bones driver. Wow. I've been looking for one ever since and they are RARE to find.
B. Ford your spot on man, had to drive 6 hours to find a 6spd 128 w m sport package. Car literally bends the laws of physics, I've owned a 636ninja an I do believe this car could outhandle the bike albeit I'm no pro rider.

Not surprising... it is a great looking low mileage example. Please keep making videos, I really enjoy your content on the cars you have for sale. Not all cars are cars I'm into, but it's nice and short summaries - similar to what I'd derive from a quick test drive.

That looks it may be "stripper" model, non xenon headlights, no heated seats, 6spd, no nav, etc. if it had the M-sport package, even more rare. Savanna beige is nice it doesn't get hot like charcoal. Nice vid! Better car!
