    I’ve got the ‘23 Macan T fully loaded and I couldn’t be happier. I’m not looking to go Fast and Furious so my focus is on comfort of ride which it delivers in bundles. One thing to add here- the Bose speakers are insane and make the music sound symphonic!

      Glad you are enjoying it. That is a great point. Good stereo system certainly drastically improves the experience.

    Basically it's a Macan GTS with the Base 2.0 Litre engine except the Clear tail lights, one could say it even comes with more options such as the Sport design mirrors, seats and crest that don't even come standard on the real GTS>

      Macan T with stage 1 ECU tune for $1300US more and you are getting a car that looks like a Macan GTS, goes as fast as a S and handles better then both a S and a GTS, for cheaper then the S and much cheaper then the GTS so it's a no brainer.

      I have a T and this is what i'm thinking about. Overall the T is a great vehicle and it fits my budget perfectly. Having come from an SQ5, i do miss a little of the performance the S would've provided. But i love how nimble the T is, so am considering a slight tune at some point to give it a little extra.

      @johnyacoub69 Рік тому

      I generally agree with that - but you MUST equip your T with air, since the US version of the T doesn’t include a standard suspension setup that is a performance upgrade over the base Macan, unlike in other markets where the steel spring setup is still 15mm lower than standard. In the US, Ts come standard with springs that are the same height as base Macans (S models too, I think). The only caveat I have about the tune would be to question whether one can find a Porsche dealer that will have a rational stance on tuning and warranty.

    Macans are great commuter cars. They look very cool. I just prefer the size of the Cayenne👌🏼

    I’m surprised no one has compared the “T” to the “Sport Edition.” They seemed to be spec’d similarly.

    We love our Macan T. Stripper spec, just premium package and that’s it. Great daily! We didn’t spec air suspension because the steel springs ride a lot better and less problematic.

      @mattonthewater I’m in the same thought about getting the stripper T with just the double plane windows for LA freeway noises and the air suspension, thinking that may smooth out the expansion joints. Your experience on the air suspension seems negative, would you expand and how’s your experience with the T so far. Thanks a lot!

    I agree that 268 is not a lot of power, but if you look at the 0-60 times of near 5.0, there is a case that this hp number is under rated, as Porsche is won’t to do with the lower spec packages (some estimate it is easily closer to 300). And if you want more power in a base/t, aftermarket tuning is always an option as the motor (VAG’s EA888) has been around a long time in other VW and Audi products. 320+ hp can be had for under $1,000 if desired.

    I used to have a 2016 Macan S. Loved the car. When taken in for service I would get a base Macan loaner. While the S had better performance, the base was nimbler. The performance was acceptable for the base especially given that these Macan's are essentially everyday drivers. That said, I agree with Damon. For me it would either be the T or GTS, and money not being a factor, I'll take the Macan GTS. If I had to have only one car, that would be the one.

    • @ricklee3
      @ricklee3 Рік тому +2

      I've got the 2000 Base Macan with a ECU Stage 1 Upgrade, it makes it similar to performance to the S and for around $1300US more only. I would get the Macan T and do the same ECU upgrade and that would mean you are getting a car with more options then the S, similar performance and for cheaper.

    Just another perspective. Wouldn't the s or GTS model handle better? My Macan S has a significantly more sophisticated suspension that the new base model. I had a base Macan as a loaner from the dealer for 4 days. There's no comparison

      This is a Macan T, so it has all of the handling upgrades of the GTS but with a four-cylinder engine that's 129 pounds lighter than the V6. For Robin, this was enough for him to call it the best-handling Macan.

    what tires would you recommend to get the most out of the suspension?

    • @PorscheClubofAmerica
      @PorscheClubofAmerica  Рік тому +2

      Depends on the climate you expect to drive in. Sticky summer tires will be a lot of fun in temps above 40 degrees. If you need to get through winter, a set of all season will limit some fun. Own a set of summer and winter tires and have the best of both worlds.
