Negative overwatch content is popular because the players are upset, not the other way around. I'm sure there's a bit of an echo chamber, but to say content creators are what's killing the game is crazy. Blizzard fumbled PvE, told blatant lies about it, and downgraded many aspects of the already existing game. If you're fine with whatever shit they're doing good for you, but others are allowed to voice their dissatisfaction just like you are with this video. A company put out a product, customers didn't like it, and they reviewed accordingly.

Perhaps everyone making content about issues with the game could be corrected in some manner like...fixing the issues with the game? The game is exiting early access and there are still MANY issues that need to be addressed. I would prefer we keep CRITIQUING the game until it is actually in a state that most are happy with. Content creators aren't killing the game, if the game is good, it won't matter what people say, it will still do well. Is just the review bombing dumb, yes,. Is it the fault of content creators, possibly. Did they do anything disingenuous or wrong though? No, I personally don't believe so. I like many others still want to see more changes to the game to make it better, content creation is one of the best methods of putting your gripes out there in an accessible form for both the community and the devs to understand.

But it has only improved ever so slightly, while also becoming GROSSLY monetization based. It's that kind of combination that the player base rightfully cannot stand. Let's say you go to an ice cream shop that only has cones and they promise you that if you come back tomorrow you can get a gallons worth of ice cream, with a vast and diverse combination of flavors. You come back the next day and you get a quart of ice cream, in two flavor options. Are you going to leave that shop feeling happy that, you at least got something better than you were given in the past? or are you more likely to be upset that the promises made to you were just grossly neglected and you were mislead? I can't answer for YOU, but the most of the ow community is definitely resonating with the latter, as they should.

But we always came back during the events that added pve content. It was right up the alley for us. A gamemode in a game we liked a lot that didn't require us to interact with other people. So when Overwatch 2 was announced with PVE story, we got excited. But as we later learned, the one selling point we were interested in wasn't a thing anymore. So that coupled with the removal of Overwatch 1, made us stop playing it and in general dislike Overwatch 2. While I myself haven't left a review for OW2, I could have seen myself doing it because from the small amount i've played it, and the promises that were broken until recently, made me not like the game.

I bought that $60 overwatch 2 preprder pack, it promised i would get the forst pve missions for free or earlier or whatever it was, then they cancelled it, something i basically paid for, and then make me pay 20 bucks for 3 missions, im sorry but i want a full refund for the preorder pack i bought as the content it promised was not delivered
