Original grill! It never goes out of style. Great Video guys! You guys speak from years of real life jeep overlanding experience. That goes a long way! Can't wait to see what you do with the second jeep.
The original grill is the most precious part on the entire jeep. Rigs that lived the longest lives still honorably maintain their original grill as the last original part. Angry grills are an abomination. :) Cheers, great video and a proven rig.
I really like visit jangal, mountains, seaside, dessert, Most of all, your family has been able to move around easily with your family. I have enjoyed it very much
Love seeing the Ontario plate ! I like the stock grill, I don't mind the angry bird either to be honest......Thanks for sharing the walkaround I'm always looking for product information based on true tried and tested experiences. Cool you got to hang out with Brad and Marco! Cheers friends
I like the Jeep but think maybe a bigger vehicle like a land cruiser would suit your family better. I have two small kids and a dog and even with a ute I struggle for space. Maybe a gladiator? Love your channel. Good luck and safe travelling. 🇦🇺👍🏻
Rationalist Society - thanks for watching. We are currently outfitting our second jeep for Overland travel. Now we have plenty of room and sleeping space. 👍🏻🚙🚙
Definitely go with the stock grill. Besides not being a fan of the "angry eyes look", in PA you can actually get ticketed with the angry eyes because they slightly block the headlights (I know crazy, but some areas of PA a very strict ). Love your videos, and please let us known if you're heading to PA at all. Would love to meet you guys. Safe Travels and God Bless!
Original all the way. Great video very inspirational, I’m just starting out here in the UK the wife and I want to tour the entire mediterranean following where the Roman Empire borders used to be and see all the 1000 year old ruins. Can’t wait
Original grille, and it seems that everyone else agrees! I have recommendations for your JL that could save you some time too, but I'll find somewhere else to post those comments. Happy New Year!
Hello. If it was my Jeep, I’d keep the factory grill. Your Jeep is pretty packed. I’m surprised everyone fit. It looks like it has held up pretty well considering all the daily use.
Very good video and interesting.. Very informative. Seems to be a good system that works for you. It concerns me a bit carrying all of that fuel and propane on the rear of the vehicle. Thank God you haven't had a problem with another vehicle rear ending your jeep.🙏 With that said thank you for sharing you and your family adventures. Happy trails stay safe and keep it moving.
Highly recommend steel rims we have them on our Toyota Hilux never had a problem cruising/4wD around the Aussie outback which will probably be equivalent to parts of Africa I would say lots and lots of dirt and rocks. Etc etc. do you have a diff breather pipe, secondary fuel filter and catch can to filter the exhaust gases? I would say the most important thing is the secondary. Fuel filter have seen a couple of vehicles with contaminated fuel and very expensive new engines or reconditioned are expensive to replaced in remote areas
Oh honey..there's no such thing as "remote areas" in the US.. Everywhere you go in the USA ur always within 10 miles of McDonald's 20 miles of Walmart The US mainland is not like Australia or Africa Going overland in the US is a joke. Its only for the wanna be offroaders
Me encanta este programa. Zmo la naturaleza y estar en contacto con ella. El Jeep Wrangler es un vehículo fabuloso. Yo tengo una Jeep Willis Wagon, que en Argentina se la llama Estanciera, es modelo 1958. 😁
I think your aftermarket choices were the top choice specifically for your use. Dave and the team at AEV do a great job on the suspension and bumpers for overlanding and Front runner make great kit. How's the reliability overall been?
Love this video..It has given me and my wife some great ideas. We are newbies to overlanding and this video helped out alot..Go back to the original grill👍👍👍
After "meeting" y'all from Lifestyle Overland (Kevin, Sarah and Caroline) I absolutely had to subscribe immediately. I've watched the 1st video from the walk around couple years back and your follow up. Uhmmm let me quit the chatting. I have maaaaaaaaaany hours of watching to catch up. 🤠 Stick with the "🦉" Grill
I like the original front. On my Jk I had the same AEV 4.5” liftkit, Wich was great! Thanks for the great update. Curious how the JL build will turn out.... 🇳🇱❤️🇨🇦👍
Looking forward to your new build. My wife and i are looking at a new Rubicon as well to tow behind our motor home. We would like to do some aftermarket suspension but nothing crazy. Great content Subscribed!! Cheers!
At first, I liked the angry grills. However, two things have changed my mind. First, you loose one of the essential, legendary aspects of a Jeep. Two, they've become popular with "posers". I suggest going original again. I've been enjoying the channel for some time now. Great family, great job!
Thanks for posting the list. I've been looking all over to buy that rear storage AT rack. Sadly it appears they don't make those anymore as I don't see them on the AT link you shared.
Ahh I see, Just noticed that too. You might want to try at www.ExplorationOutfitters.com - There may be another manufacturer making something similar....
Great adventures and detailed accounts. Appreciate you goin over the mods to the Jeep. Helped me to line up the changes I would like to make. You can spend a lot of money going in the wrong direction.
Did the tepui tent come with an additional rain cover? Ours has one but it makes so much noise due to winds that it’s impossible to sleep with. Is the tent itself rain proof enough without rain cover, I want to check your thoughts on this? Thank you for sharing all the informative details and your travel storie. Happy adventures this coming decade.
So amazing that you just travel te world with your familie in a Jeep !! I want to travel te world with a Jeep as wel. I would love to do it with my familie as wel but I have no idea how, financially. I have a lot of questions like how is it in a Jeep traveling the world with your family 24/7 ( it wouldn’t be al sunshine and rainbows I presume, at least I wouldn’t be with my family ) and why aJeep? A lot of people who do this soort of thing go with a Land Rover or a Toyota. I’m 19 years old and I live in the Netherlands so it’s really hard to even get a Jeep here ( ‘ cous we don’t really have the roads for it ) And the hole fact that all the Jeeps are now automatically switched (what I btw really hate ) So yea a lot of random questions 😬 ( this is btw the first and only video is saw of you guys so maybe you already explained this in a other video so yeah🙃) Kind regards, Sterre Doesburg
with all the actual beneficial mods I have to ask why the crappy oversized wheels? 17 inch beedlocks would be best but 17" any thing would be better than what you have. Look like a great jeep though, keep enjoying those travels!
Hey...Love your channel.. Thank you for all the awesome info.. I have a very important question for you... have you ever weighed the Jeep with everything in it and all the upgrades? I'm looking to tow behind the RV like you but with a 5000lb max hitch weight how can you without being over weight? Is it not over 5000lbs with everything as is?
We don’t tow much anymore but when we did the Jeep seemed to get heavier and heavier as we went. We never had any problems and towed up and down mountains. That being said I’d highly recommend everybody make sure they’re within the weight capacity of their vehicle. 👍🏻
Glad that you have hooked up with Marco and Trailrecon members. Glad to see collaboration.
In my eyes, the factory Wrangler grill beats pretty much all of the aftermarket ones.
Original grill! It never goes out of style.
Great Video guys! You guys speak from years of real life jeep overlanding experience. That goes a long way! Can't wait to see what you do with the second jeep.
Original grill is classic. But what do I know about jeeps, I'm a hummer guy. LOL!
Awesome jeep for sure.
Stock grill for sure.
@@planboverland8736
Original over Extra Crispy
Classic over New Coke
Both grills look great but the factory grill has the more classic look. Real world use of their Jeep speaks volumes.
Extra Crispy is too much and New Coke was way to sweet.
Always stick with the original!!
Funny, when you cut to fixing the hood latch, I thought "that looks like the back of Marco"... and it was!!
ME TOO
The original grill is the most precious part on the entire jeep. Rigs that lived the longest lives still honorably maintain their original grill as the last original part. Angry grills are an abomination. :) Cheers, great video and a proven rig.
I went with an angry birds grill, it was gone by the end of the week. Stock grill is ICONIC!
Original grill for the win. 👍
ARB sells replacement handles for your fridge. You can find them for under $20 on Amazon and its easy to replace. Just remove a couple of screws.
I love ur adventures I have been fallowing Epic family and TrailRecan so I bought Jeep JL 2018 year ago...
Thanks for following our channel, and congratulations on your new Jeep!
I really like visit jangal, mountains, seaside, dessert, Most of all, your family has been able to move around easily with your family. I have enjoyed it very much
Hopefully one day. We are so glad you enjoyed our video. Have a wonderful day.

Hi Peter, hope you guys are doing well!! Please say hello to the family for Beverly and I.... I like the original grill for the jeep!!!!
Erick Atienza - Hi Erick and Beverly! We’re doing great. Hugs from all of us. 🤗

Yes on restoring the original grille. For God's sakes what were you thinking? Enjoying you're videos.

Wow, that sounds like an awesome trip you have planned. Thanks for watching our video. Have a wonderful day. 🇬🇧
And yes I like the stock grill better. Know you have changed it since this episode I’m just playing catch-up.
You seemed pretty chilled...but their must have been some hella blues in the back seat with the kids!
Haha. 😂 Yes, Every once in a while. Then we stop take a big hike 🥾 and keep going. 👍🏻
Original grill for the win! Hope to see you guys somewhere out there when we hit the road next year.
Summer Lofn Family - Have fun and yes, we’ll see you down the road.
That’s great! Thanks

Love the angry grill
Hello. If it was my Jeep, I’d keep the factory grill. Your Jeep is pretty packed. I’m surprised everyone fit. It looks like it has held up pretty well considering all the daily use.
Have to vote for the original grill also. Praying for your safe travels
Thanks
Love the review, helpful comments. I like the angry bird grill :)
Disfruto de este programa.
¡Muchas gracias Family!
Exchange and upgrade jk hood latch to the jl hood latch.

ORIGINAL GRILL

So far so good. The whole rig has been very reliable.
One of my favorite builds, except the modded grill! OG always
Thanks for the tour it gave me some good ideas. Keep up the good work and happy trails.
Soy docente y cuando me jubile, dentro de 5 años, sueño con recorrer la ruta 40 de Argentina, de norte a sur. Unos 4500 kms aproximadamente.
Great Jeep. Love the set up.
Love this video..It has given me and my wife some great ideas. We are newbies to overlanding and this video helped out alot..Go back to the original grill👍👍👍
Classic grill is the way to go!
Wicked video guys! I’d go with the original grille.

Original grill imho
Back to the original grille! No more angry jeeps :)
I think the original one ,the plastic one looks is a angry :)
Looking forward to your new build. My wife and i are looking at a new Rubicon as well to tow behind our motor home. We would like to do some aftermarket suspension but nothing crazy. Great content Subscribed!! Cheers!
ExpeditionMarc - Thanks for the sub!

Agreed! Can't beat the original classic look.
Bravo. Looking forward to 2020
High, i think, a second batterie is necessary too. Kindly Fiete
Great video EFRT. I would prefer the stock grill.
Original grill
Angry grill has to go ! Love you guys
Pat E - ❤️
Thanks for the walk around. Would you do the snorkel again? I like the original Grille
Yes, we think the snorkel is worth having - looks cool and is functional in the desert and river crossings.
I'd like to see how your dual battery set up is wired separating accessories etc!
I vote original grille.
Thanks for posting the list. I've been looking all over to buy that rear storage AT rack. Sadly it appears they don't make those anymore as I don't see them on the AT link you shared.

nightfall22 - Thanks for the sub!
Cover your plate my friend!
hell yeah mount that stove on the same side as the gas tank!
Go back to the original grill, no more angry bird.
Looks good with the angry grill
lol looks like a roof tent, and awning is in my future
I love this Jeep, a dream, i dig the angry birds grill. ¿what about the bathroom?
Lalo Barbabosa - we use a pop up privacy tent with a Thunderbox. thunderboxusa.com
Do not care for the old school angry bird grill.
Angry bird looks mean, the original looks cool, they are different, you can't go wrong with either of them, but Angry bird makes you an original.
Yeh baby
ilike the black grill better
original grill! :)
You guys are cool
Original grill. It’s an iconic part of the Jeep.

Ditch the angry bird grill... :)
Great walk through, Pete!
Katelyn Martin - Thanks 😊
No angry bird!
Original grill please! An icon since 1941 and WWII and still the best looking by far!
Lovely 😊
Great vid man thanks
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching!
Best overland vehicle I’ve seen. I like both grills. What type of headlights are those?
I think I found them. Mictuning? They are on Amazon. Some bad reviews though. How have yours been?

Definately the original grill. The best Wrangler grill (Better than the JL!). Great review and summary. Looking forward to the 2020 adventures.
