Growing up, I remember my mother telling me that we each have been blessed & tasked with our own ministry from the Lord....and her ministry was to care for her family. How beautifully humble & rich her words were....and remain ever fresh in my heart today. She is 77 now & still....her ministry is to my father. You may not realize it now, sister, but you are depositing precious jewels of wisdom into your children by allowing them to watch you care for them & their daddy. May His Grace & favor continue to be your driving passion to walk out your own ministry.
Your family is so blessed to have the wonderful homemade meals you provide. All will be healthier and stronger for it. Thanks for sharing your recipes. Have a blessed day.
Kelsey - thank you for sharing! I loved seeing how you make “real food” possible on the day to day. You are a beautiful encouragement to me, even though I’m much older than you. ❤ xo
I ordered some Redmond's Real Salt through your link to give as gifts! They have a nice smoked salt set that I am sure is wonderful and can't wait to try. Thanks!
Small world, I have that same Turkey platter you have. With little kids I think they get hungry. When my son was little he had lots of snacks too! Good cooking! Nancy from nebraska
Such a delightful video, felt like I could almost smell that food!! I'm definitely making quiche soon and that onion beef recipe is going on my list!👍 thank you🙂🙏
In my opinion, this day of cooking was the epitome of fall. It was all so cozy and comforting. I’ll be trying some of these for sure! Thank you, Kelsey, for always sharing the recipes. I really like the idea of the homemade chocolate sauce for chocolate milk! I’m wondering if the ‘paste’ could be freeze dried in a large quantity and scooped that way. I think this would make both a healthier and delicious gift for someone who really enjoys chocolate milk! Bless you friend! 🧡🍁
So helpful and funny we did a BBQ Asian Pulled pork, with cornbread, Shanghi noodles with peas and maple roasted carrots.... so good. Hugs from Esquimalt
Great video. I make my own hot chocolate for my daughters, they absolutely love it, no powdered store stuff. But the way you made your own chocolate milk, I am definitely going to try that for them. Thanks for sharing.
I usually make lemon scones so I am definitely going to have to try these apple ones! I was wondering if you might do a video of the noise level of the freeze dryer as well as the difference in textures and how you would use that food in comparison to dehydrated. I have heard alot of people saying there are certain things they do not like freeze dried. Thanks for another sweet video! Blessings!
When I was working, I left my crockpot on all day. It was a gift to come home and have a nice warm meal after a hard day's work. But but each to their own I understand both points of view
If you don't love onions texture but like the flavor one trick i have learned is to blend them up really well and add them to dishes! I do the same with peppers too. My son likes his milk with syrup instead of chocolate! On a side note youtube unsubscribed me for some reason :/ glad I noticed
could you do a video on how to keep a kitchen clean when you are always cooking? like an expanded put the kitchen to bed or how to clean as you cook bc I have a big problem there and I'm always tired when I cook.
Did you know that in the '50's Fruit pie was a breakfast food.... YUP... LOL... I don't use a crust so if there is left over, you can turn them into breakfast wraps for the next day
Someone else may have already said this, but you need to use a little more fresh milled flour. It's lighter and fluffier, not compacted like store bought. I love chai tea. Trader Joes chai tea bags, NOT the mix in the tin, are the best I've found.
I haven't made quiche in quire a while. I don't know why ... I have all of the ingredients for a ham, broccoli and mushroom one. I guess I have no excuse 😂
I've read that when using fresh milled flour you have to add a little more flour, like 1/4 cup. Something about the fresh milled vs the store bought. 😊
I love the pot roast beef and veggies and the apple pie scones and the chocolate milk and the chai milk all four of these recipes are are my favorite have a blessed day and Happy Merry Christmas and New Years to you and your family and friends God-bless!❤🎉
Growing up my mother always used mayo instead of cream which is good but if she didn't mix it super well you would end up with a blob of mayo here and there which is bad for a guy like me that doesn't like mayo. So I'm glad that in your last video where you made the crustless version with the cream I had to give it a try and it was great, not as tangy as it is with mayo but easier to mix without the chance of mayo globs. Next time I think I'm going to try sour cream and see how that works out.
Looks delicious as usual. I am curious about your use of terms such as “one cup’s worth”. Is this a regional phrase or simply something you picked up along the way? I don’t think I have heard anyone else use the term. Just curious.
Sure do! You can find it in the description here: Homemade EXTRACTS, SPICE BLENDS, HERBAL INFUSIONS + More! Saving Money in the Kitchen! ua-cam.com/video/DCpL383Qlho/v-deo.html

Thank you! That’s intentional! I’m sorry it bothers your eyes! Sometimes I try to include more artsy shots with a bokah effect. It’s a central point of focus with the rest blurred. I often shoot in full focus though too! Sometimes upping the quality you’re streaming in can help too!
Love your peaceful energy. Is there anyway to show the Bible verse before the next two video little clip notes, not sure what it’s called, come up. It blocks the words. Thank you for all you do.
My goodness, you eat far too much cheese! I never add salt to anything with salted butter or cheese (when I could eat dairy) as they have salt already, and current recommendations are for an adult no more than 6g of salt a day.

Beautiful! Thank you for sharing ❤️ That is my greatest hope and true joy. Blessings to you friend ❤️❤️❤️
Quiche without pastry is commonly known as Frittata in Australia 😊

For your flour if you use home milled generally add about 1/4 cup extra to every 1 cup a recipe calls for.
Thank you!
Such a delightful video, felt like I could almost smell that food!!

Aw thank you friend! Enjoy ❤️❤️❤️
Really enjoyed watching your day progress and what you fix for meals and how - thanks!
Awesome, thank you!
Everything looks good. My kids are growing and I can't believe how much 10 year old boys can put away, and I know it'll increase.
Thank you! LOL so true! Grant is two and can out eat his 6 year old sister any time!

OK, I can cook really well, but...that pot roast made me hungry, and it’s only 1:30 in the morning! LOL. First time watching your channel, love it!

I love second breakfast 🤣
The best 😂❤️

Absolutely. Whatever one’s comfortable with!
When I worked I never felt comfortable to leave my slow cooker on, I think it’s because mine is old.😊
Always inspiring, thank you so much☺️💕!!
So glad! Thank you!
Very good, helpful information and ideas!!! Thank you
Glad it was helpful! Thank you! ❤️☺️

You could totally use up those canned carrots in the soup since you mentioned you don’t like them!!
Yay! ❤I love from scratch meals.
❤️❤️❤️ Enjoy!

Kelsey, I just ordered a pastry brush because I was tired of patting everything on with my fingers😁
LOL, I have one but my one but my love of shortcuts often wins! 😂

Crust free quiche is a Frittata
They have a different dairy egg ratio usually ☺️
Hi, you have so much energy. Do you have a recipe for the scones using gluten free flour? Love your channel.
Thank you! If I were to try it gluten free I’d just sub in a 1:1 gluten free flour and maybe a little xantham gum!
First time seeing your child and I love the video… Do you have a recipe for your homemade chai tea mixture?
Sure do! You can find it in the description here: Homemade EXTRACTS, SPICE BLENDS, HERBAL INFUSIONS + More! Saving Money in the Kitchen!

I knowwww 😭
I’m sorry I couldn’t understand if you was saying try tea or chi tea! lol but do you have a recipe for the mix that you added to each cup?
Yes! It’s chai tea and you can find the mix here Homemade EXTRACTS, SPICE BLENDS, HERBAL INFUSIONS + More! Saving Money in the Kitchen!

Hi, can you let me know what type of knife you’re using? And is it from Amazon?
It’s from a set, I’m not sure it can be purchased separately. The brand is wustof.
@@seedandsparrowhomestead thank you!
I really enjoy your videos. I was wondering if anything can be done about the camera not focusing? Its a bit hard on the eyes.
Thank you! That’s intentional! I’m sorry it bothers your eyes! Sometimes I try to include more artsy shots with a bokah effect. It’s a central point of focus with the rest blurred. I often shoot in full focus though too! Sometimes upping the quality you’re streaming in can help too!
❤❤❤❤❤
Do you use a microwave at all? How did you reheat the mashed potatoes?
On occasion if I’m in a big hurry I will, usually in the oven, 350 wrapped in foil for 15 minutes or so.
I don't have a microwave. This is what i do: i reheat the mashed potatoes in the airfryer, oven or skillet on low heat.
Serious question: isn’t a quiche without a crust a frittata?
The egg to dairy ratio is a bit different ☺️
Love your peaceful energy. Is there anyway to show the Bible verse before the next two video little clip notes, not sure what it’s called, come up. It blocks the words. Thank you for all you do.

How do you stay so skinny? 😁
