When my baby son passed away 26 years ago, the engraved plaque in my kitchen window etched with "Because He lives, I can face tomorrow" reminded me to breathe and praise and pray. Days that would knock me to my knees, I would cling to these words. The unbeliever at the funeral home puzzled over peace that passes all understanding and smiles from scripture and promises. Angered that people should be acting the way they deemed appropriate aren't behaving as they should. The gentle old saint calmly speaks to them "Because He lives, I can face tomorrow" and tells the unbeliever of the Holy Hope within. Words cannot convey the powerful and Holy annointing on this precious couple and the songs from their souls and the countless souls eternally changed because they were willing to be His instruments of ministry. Thank you from the depths of my soul Bill and Gloria Gaither.

This wonderful song, “It Won’t Rain Always”, has always meant a lot to me, but since my wife and I survived covid (and she has very serious conditions), the song touches my heart in a new light. Now I don’t think about others who are survivors and God sees them through, but now I can testify that God has in fact been there for us and he did see us through. Today we are survivors. We have peace in knowing that we have an appointed number of days and that nothing can come against us that will change that. It’s God’s plan for us and Covid or no enemy of our body will ever overpower God’s plan. And when the tome comes we know that he will see us through then too. It’s all about Jesus and trusting in him to do what he said that he would do. We love him so and the song and this video blesses out hearts.
This video has been what I needed to hear right now in my life. After working for 53 years I retired January, 2019. Covid happened, staying away from my family (I am single, never married and live alone). I finally quit living in fear and started spending time with family and getting out to shop again. I have been a born again Christian since I was 12 years old and believe in God's love and healing. I have dealt with depression off and on pretty much my whole life but kept it pretty much to myself because I believed being a Christian meant trusting God for every part of my life, even healing depression. I didn't think I could witness for Him if I couldn't believe for my own self and I was ashamed of this. Now that I am retired I feel that I have no purpose in this life anymore. I haven't been able to enjoy retirement because of covid and being limited in what I can do and where I can go. Now for over a month I have begun to have severe eye problems so I can hardly go anywhere because of this. It has really been one thing after another and seems no help in sight for me. The songs and the wise words from each of you in this video have really brought so many things that I already know to my mind of Jesus' love for me and He is there for me even though I can't feel His presence and haven't for a very long time. I don't know that you will even read this but wanted you to know how much I have always loved you and Gloria and what a blessing you both have been to me. Please pray for me to find the purpose God has for me at this time in my life. God bless you both; you are a beautiful couple and I can see God's glory shining in your faces.

Brenda, I had to go on disability at age 49 after a serious car accident. Being single as you are, I too struggled. The past years since I was in my mid 30's seemed to be one health crisis after another. I found myself at such a point of discouragement that I did not know what to do. Keep in mind, I was as faithful to God's house as I could be although focus was something I struggled with. I struggled as you to feel God's presence and to know where to turn. I went through years of this. I still have my times but one day I finally said this is it. I just cannot do this any more. I did not want to go to any other Christian, even my Pastor as I had seen how Christians so easily look down on those of us suffering depression. I had been a nurse and I knew mental health issues as well as the fact that those who know Christians often criticize because they think those of us struggling with depression and anxiety should know what God's Word says. But the day I decided I had enough of this I first found scriptures in Psalms that were uplifting. I then in the privacy of my own home I bowed my head and cried out to God! That day I decided I was moving oh, no matter what crept up in my life or health I first decided no matter how I felt to encourage at least one person a day. It worked! I soon found myself moving past the bad, dark days that I struggled with. I just added more good things as time went. I still struggle with health, don't misunderstand me. But I take each problem that arises and say "Okay, God!!You know I cannot do this! So first I give this problem to God. Whether the reason was health or another reason, such as the death of a loved one like I faced a week ago when a sibling passed on to Heaven or another reason I gave it to God. Second, I asked God what he is using this for. Maybe it was to help someone else or whatever it may be. I ask God to show me the reason each time. I found I finally was moving on. Do I still struggle. Absolutely! We are flesh. But I now have more good than bad days. I try to face each day with joy and gladness and it is ONLY through him I can do that. Maybe you could check into finding a DVD or even if you have a smart phone there is an app called you version for phones. It can be set up to read thr Bible to you. You can also set it to your version of the Bible you prefer. You may be able to set it up on a computer too. The Bible has brought me through some tough times. I just prayed for you and will continue to pray for you!!

Brenda it sounds like things are looking up in your life now and I am so glad for that for you. There are lots of things in life that just don't seem fair that we have to put up with. I am in your same position in some ways and it sure CAN get depressing. I have been scared to go to church or do many things due to covid. I have been very very blessed not to get covid. I have had many bouts with depression so I sure know how that can feel. These Gaither utubes have really been a help to me as well. I SO have loved their music for many years and it has been so good seeing them again on utube. It is SUCH a blessing to hear the old songs and see all the people and even though a big portion of them are dead, I find myself watching them without thinking about the fact they aren't around anymore as much as I can. What a BRILLIANT idea of the Gaithers to let us see all these older utubes of such beautiful music and the sweet sweet people. I don't know about you, but their music and the personalities of these people SO help the sadness of these times. I wish the best for you Brenda and hope your spirits are improving. It is a very hard sad time for us, but christians have known that things like this or similar would happen some day. It took me a LONG time to get over losing Trump as our wonderful president and having to watch the evilness of the other side has been heartbreaking; however God may allow him to be in office one more time before He ends this evil world we have now or He may not. BUT this all points to one big thing and that is that Jesus could come very soon and we all need to be ready to meet Him. We really need to be thankful for this time in history, believe it or not, because these type of out and out scary times have a way of maybe bringing more and more people to the knowledge and belief that Christ died for us to have eternal life with Him in Heaven. NO ONE knows the day or the hour that Jesus will come back but there will be a time when we are joyful again forever. We just HAVE to look at this time as a good chance to look at our lives and how we have been living maybe so we will be ready for when Christ comes back to get His believers to take them up to be with Him forever!! Wanted to listen to Gaither videos today. And lone behold I pick this one where they talk about anxiety and depression. As someone who’s been struggling with it recently it was a good reminder that God knows what I need to hear. And hearing these men talk about it in such a wise way was a blessing.

This is one of the best discussions I’ve listened to in a very long time. We are living in times where many people can’t handle their feelings of loneliness. Many are overcome with depression. The songs that Bill Gaither chose to go along with each point discussed were spirit lead. Bill and Gloria are truly gems of the faith. Music preaches a sermon to my heart and my soul. Share this video. It just may help someone who is going through a tough time in their life. Many of us can say....I’ve been there too...

Thank you for sharing. These songs are a delight for those times when I've needed backup for handling life. They have given light to my escape from the doldrums on more than one occasion. They have been the easier sounds on my ears when I'm trying to reconcile the songs I sing with the life I live. Thank you for being so generous with you lives and gifts.
On the subject of the conversation, I can relate. I have wound myself so tight that some falling apart seemed inevitable. I have thrown myself out there, spread so thin I couldn't gather enough of myself for warmth or dignity. I have born burdens and thought that it was not my place to bear because I'm human and they are God's area of specialization. There have been times when I empathized myself into a 'providence'. The different songs you put up help to bring me through. Medication and counsel have been part of the journey too.
I am currently exploring how my thought patterns, emotional habits and responses to stress leave the doors open for clouds of gray and darkness to filter in. My findings intrigue me. It is most likely that when I finally put them on record, Gaither songs will be some phenomenal part of the journey.

I believe that most depression, especially for the children of God is an evil spirit and can only be rid of through speaking God's Word at it. It happened to me once and I never got it ever again. I have to say though it was Holy Ghost led and not just me quoting it. The Word of God was, "The joy of the Lord is my strength". I said it three times and the third time I felt the dark heaviness leave me. Praise the Lord.
Wendy, Praise the Lord! Unfortunately, it is not always so easy. Just as I feel it is not always God's will to heal of diseases, it is the same with mental health. My brother just passed away nearly 2 weeks ago after years of fighting mental illness from Vietnam. The mental problems had nothing to do with his passing but he fought so long and so hard. I know he gave it to God and did exactly as you did.I have a good friend who loves the Lord! And I cannot begin to say the faith that woman has in the Lord and the Holy Spirit. About 2 years ago, after coming to visit my church for a ladies day, she looked bad. She had driven an hour to get here which is not very long. She told me she had fallen off her bike the week before. But going home for an hour drive took her 5 hours because she had to stop at just about every exit. Over a period of 6 months she was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. She has 2 teenage children and is now to the point she cannot drive any more, uses a walker even in the house and can no longer do the things she loves. When she got her diagnosis, she said she knew God would heal her. Everyone who knows her still prays for healing. She is getting hard to understand on the phone now and having trouble swallowing. She is falling a lot. We prayed and believed but I believe God had other reasons for not healing her. Sometimes it can even be for reaching others for Christ. God does the same with mental disorders. And it is not always evil that comes in. I was diagnosed with depression at age 36. But chose not to do anything as I felt as you do. The problem is we so often get so focused on it being evil in the Christian life that those of us with these issues fail to speak up, thus a big part of the stigma that goes into the treatment of those of us with mental diagnosis within the Christian family. Yes, there are some with evil coming in but it is not all situations. Remember, anything that the devil brings into our lives has to have God's permission first. At age 36, I chose to let it go and rely on God. My physical health got worse and so did my mental health. I ended up on low dose meds and have had to stay on them. I am better and have a great deal of faith in God. But God gives us drs and counselors (of course, Christian are the best) for reasons. God saw fit to heal you and I pray he does me and my friend.

So many things bring on depression. Being in pain, stress, too many things to do, being overwhelmed by life. But through it all God is always there whispering in my ear, “I’m with you”. And yes, we need Dr’s as well. God gives us the wisdom to seek them out for help.

Very Heart ❤️ Warming
i have been away a long time. Unable to get to church, time taking it's toll. I prayed in the morning, but I did the talking and forgot about listening and did not do prayers at night as I once did. I was soon empty of the Cristian JOY that was part of my character; God had tapped my shoulder when I was so little, and I was always singing about Jesus then. Now at 88, I;m back because of the Gaither Music songs, and the witnessing. They became the magic that revived what was buried deep in my soul. The change in my heart is amazing and unexpected. Music was the trigger, but talking like this about it has changed me. Jesus was always here. I was who took a wrong turn and walked away. Praise God, ... I'm back!!!

We've been listening to them since I was a kid in the 90s. My parents were big into Gaither and all the other groups who would sing with them. I've always loved Gospel music and southern gospel because of my youth. Bill has such an incredible way of finding musical talent.

I am so very appreciative, more than you know that you would put out a part one and part two and talk about depression. Even though we are Christians and we know the Lord is on our side, the devil attacks brutally and unrelentlessly, and we need the word of God, songs about God and each other; as iron sharpens iron.
After 18 years, am I supposedly saved husband leaves me for an unsaved, younger woman. The Lord actually came and rescued me from the evil that he brought into this house for years. PRAISE you Lord God Almighty for giving us your son to save us from our sins and for your Holy Spirit that lives in us!!!

I believe God is a jealous God,He wants us to Love Him more the anything or anyone else in the World.He wants us as His children to be free and let Him take over,depending on Him.It might be easier for a woman,then a man to do that.Believing that ALL things will work together for good.You have given us so many wonderful scriptural worship songs to lift us up.What it matters to God is not how much we do,but why we do it.

Jesus said come unto to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest, he didn’t say I will give you strength he said I will give you rest. Jesus fell under the load of his cross and when he could not carry his cross anymore, then his cross carried him to the father. Are we allowing our cross to carry us to the father. First Peter 318 says Jesus suffered and died that he might bring us to God. Let your troubles let your depression cause you to rest, cause you to spend time with the father, that’s why Jesus came to the earth.

so good but as always when christian talks ,one group are never mention ,us who did not get our dream fulfilled ,i cry for 30 years every day for god to get me a haspend and kids i never got it now i am 70 everything is too late but i still cry the whole time ,and i propely will for the rest of my live ,
