Thank you for this discussion! There is such a stigma with depression. Depression is an illness just like heart disease, kidney disease, a cold or the flu. Those who suffer from depression should never be ashamed or afraid to ask for help. There are wonderful Godly counselors, physicians or psychiatrists who can talk with you and help you manage and deal with this disease. Sometimes with medication. If given medication it's important to take the medication even when you feel well. For family members, love and pray for your loved one and support them through their journey. I walked this road with my sweet sister.

Scottish people can get very depressed, their natural friendliness can get blocked by hard times, inequalities and failed relationships. You have to follow the light not the darkness, choose to be happy even if you seem goofy to the overly-serious. Sermon over! lol
