- Bill Gaither was born in Alexandria, Indiana, in 1936 to George and Lela Gaither. He has written numerous popular Christian songs with his wife Gloria; he is also known for performing as part of the Bill Gaither Trio and the Gaither Vocal Band. Bill Gaither was influenced by Southern gospel singers such as Jake Hess and Hovie Lister and by groups such as the Speers, the Statesmen, and the Happy Goodmans.
The gospel song 'He Touched Me' was written by Bill Gaither and recorded by the Bill Gaither Trio in 1963.

One thing for sure, there will never be another Bill or Gloria Gaither, they are a one time in history kind of thing. I've heard so much of the music of the Gaither Vocal Band and the old Trio, and, even though the Vocal Band in all its iterations has done good, none of them sounds as good as the trio with Gloria and Danny did.
But I started watching this wanting to know a bit of the history of their faith. What denomination are they? In which one did they get their start? One of the pics of them with Gloria holding a baby, she had a LOT of hair, I wonder if they started out Apostolic?
You will see him again in heaven he's going to God will take care of him forever as long as we are Christians in love God and Jesus Christ we will see everyone who has ever left this world 🌍🙏⛪

My mom really loves Bill and Gloria.She will be 91 next week and has most of their CDs and records and DVDs .She used to live in Anderson Indiana and would go to Alexandia tIndiana to their studio/restaurant.She would stay there for hours.She told me they had rocking chairs and she could listen to the Gather music.I grew up listening to them.That was my first concert in Louisville Kentucky when I was in junior high school back in the 70s about 77 I think.I was only allowed to listen to gospel music and I still love gospel music but I confess I love the songs of the past a lot more than now My Church sings old hynms alot.
