Holly Near is so great--I love her The Great Peace March book and music, and when I taught I read it to my Kindergarten students each year. The art work is also wonderful
Don't Think Twice is for Suze Rotolo, the "girl on the album cover' who died in 2011. She herself rather obliquely claimed the song in her memoir, A Freewheeling Time, when she writes of the neighbors' roosters that always "crowed at the break of dawn" as she & Bobby returned to their Greenwich Village apartment after long nights of club hopping.
@@ucctgg on the far left end playing guitar and doing harmony now and then. She was the main reason I wanted to watch this, don't know why she didn't take a verse like the rest of them did.
Is there a better video of this? This is very poor quality although if it's from a person who was standing in the crowd it is excellent in that realm. It's just poor quality 4 professional means
I agree: had expected MaryChapin to stand out more...I guess it points to her typical humility that she didn't. But I admire her SO much for who she is! Enough said.
@@ursulamulder110 I guess she is singing backing vocals on this one. On the live album IG & Joan Baez do this as a trio; they've also done it with Brandi Carlile. They did other songs with MCC on lead vocals, including Diamonds and Rust and Stones In the Road.
It is great watching and hearing women musicians play together and support each others music.
Es ist für mich ein schönes Wochenende auch dank eurer Musik❤
This is second only to their version of The Water is Wide
Did no one notice Holly Near "singing" in sign language?! She's fantastic! Always! Five "Voices!"
Sign language is so beautiful! And so necessary!

Mcc songs from home 42. You’re welcome.
@@christinamendrinos3163 one of the best Songs From Home, a chance to appreciate what a wonderful guitarist MCC is
Agreed. I watched this video after I saw her songs from home. That one was better. Amazing guitar skills. Even put Angus to sleep.

Does Chapin have a voice in this???
She's singing the low part on the chorus tails. Yes, a waste of her talents but hey.

I wonder if they are all lesbians?
Does it matter? I wonder why the question. They are all talented musicians.
