- We wanted to honor our cousin Richard Fariña and his wife/musical partner Mimi, so we decided to record our own version of their song "One Way Ticket". We thought it would be cool to connect the bloodlines again and ask Mimi's sister and our friend Joan Baez to sing on it. We wound up getting our dear friends and tourmates Indigo Girls, as well as our friend Julie Wolf, to contribute.
*All footage of Richard and Mimi Fariña was found on UA-cam.

Oh my God, this lady, this sacred monster, this bodhisattva, Great, Great soul! I have no words to express gratitude and love for your presence with us. Dear Joan Baez, you were presented with a singing voice and incomparable talent. And we were presented with you, one of those precious stones that are already born cut. .Esta alma rara é daquelas pedras preciosas , que já nascem lapidadas. Todo meu amor e gratidão a Joan Baez, sempre. From Brasil.
I love the collaboration and the song is absolutely fantastic!
BADASS, indeed! BRAVO to all!
Hope this gets to radio stations!
Mimi and Richard Farina were both legends of their own.. wrote some amazing songs. Joan and Mimi singing together is pure magic...
Great memories!!!
Worth mentioning that the Farinas' performance clip is from Pete Seeger's Rainbow Quest TV series.
This is so great. Happy to have found it tonight as dealing with challenges. The challenges just took a very far back seat. The music wins.
Awesome! It's got a "Brian Wilson" kind of vibe and I think you guys paid really great honor to your family with this take!
Nice.
Truly BadAss...:)
Yes.
This song DID make it to a radio station. Thanks KZAP www.k-zap.org/ for introducing me to this song. Some of my favorite artists together.
I can hear voices of Dick & Mimi on the background.
