It would be interesting to know what your blood sugar does with just the fried fillet. Without the bun.

It would be good to know what a processed breaded chicken breast would do.

Haven't had this in (close to) 2 years. Now, I'd leave off half of the bun. So half of the carbs from the bread and the breading might be a total of 30 grams. That would work for me, especially if I had a green veg and salad along with it. So the glycemic load might be acceptable, eaten this way. Historically, I have always gotten it without mayo. I put hot sauce on it.
Thank you for your sacrifice in eating all those questionable foods.

Yes, no mayo. The way they slather it on, it can add 200 kcal, easy. Probably. I like honey mustard on mine. I suppose this won’t be good.

Ohhhh, damn. Popeyes just opened near me and I've enjoyed this sandwich 3 or 4 times. Delish! I guess I'll need a small salad with olive oil and vinegar before the sandwich to keep the spike lower!

I'm a T2 diabetic and I no longer go to fast food restaurants.
The only restaurants I go to are the all you can eat places, because I can pick healthier foods. I also only get one spoonful of the foods I like so that I don't over eat. I don't go back for seconds.

What if the bread is whole grain, & you make your own breading for the chicken like whole wheat or grain crumbs or flour, seasoning & maybe eggwash extra (protein)? Fry or bake the chicken or pressed tofu, etc, after the above breading & serv with lettuce, spinach arugula or my fav, watercress on whole grain bread, with cheese & tomatoe.
