  • Todays video reveals critical information about the dangers of chemical sunscreens and the superior safety of mineral-based alternatives. Learn why making the switch to physical sunscreens could be essential for your health and the environment.

    I am committed to educating you about the harmful effects associated with chemical sunscreens, which can contain ingredients that are not only potentially carcinogenic but also damaging to our oceans. In this video, we delve deep into the benefits of physical sunscreens that use zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, which are safe, effective, and provide a barrier that protects skin from UVA and UVB radiation without harmful chemicals. I'll explain the science behind how these minerals work to safeguard your skin, the absence of any cancer-causing agents in their formulation, and why they are the healthiest choice for sun protection.

    I am a new 🍑watching and 👍 all of your videos. I am so blessed to be 74 and only have old skin. My heart goes out to all of those that have the real problems (cancers) with their skin and bodies from bad products, makeup and sunscreens. I did have a cancerous thyroid(autoimmune)and had it removed and all is well. Thank you for trying to educate all of us.🍑Sandra

    Thank you for not banging on and on about sunscreen blindly without having accurate information. There have been some skincare influencers that I've had to stop watching because of their views on wearing sunscreen really bother me. They simply parrot what they hear without having any real knowledge of how certain sunscreens can be dangerous.

    Hey Lisa! Thank you so much for all you do. What you recommend goes against what is allowed to be talked about in skincare groups and ridiculed by most mainstream skincare "gurus" and followers. But by listening to what you teach I have had the best skin in my life. I love going to your salon in Long Beach, it is something I am making sure I invest in because aside from how rejuvenating the experience is I truly notice how it makes a difference with my skin so I am upgrading at the next visit to the next tier.
    Also if you ever feel like making the journey I recommend the Can Can PARLEUR Organic Nail Salong in LA for nails! It is a non-toxic salon, NO TOXIC SMELLS OR FUMES. It is the only place I go. They do not use acrylics and really bad polishes or other products.

Plus, the thought of what that process can do to your nails and health. 😱 Sunscreens, same thing. I've never trusted them. I have received confirmation from my naturopathic doctor and you, Lisa, that I've been on the right track. Knowing which products are safe is such a relief and blessing! Also since I help my husband with his personal care and getting dressed, it was so wonderful to not stress over concealing and just put on a pretty dress , even pulled ny hair back with a flower in back. I went to a dermatologist for the first time in my life this year for skin cancer check (in my 30s, no cancer spotted) and have been told to start wearing it, so I just started. One of my kids is allergic to the 3-4 different ones I’ve tried- he breaks out in a raised red rash and I can’t pinpoint what ingredients are causing it. So I’ve been making sure all four of my kids are wearing sun hats instead… glad I did that right at least! For natural hair dye… I used to use pure henna and indigo mixed to get brown! It’s permanent, messy, but was awesome. I only stopped to enjoy my natural color again before the greys come in more.

    So I have perioral dermatits flares every few months. And have had one a few months back and we went to vacation (seaside). What I've discovered is that my skin tolerates a gentle clenser at night only, and simple moisturizer applied to the wet skin. And since all we see everywhere is how important is to wear SPF all day every day no matter what and we were going to the seaside I was desperately trying to find SPF that is not causing my skin to burn. Well I have tride alllll SPFs for super sensitive skin, for babies, for skin after surgeries etc and nothing have worked. I decided to go to the beach only on mornings and stay in the shadow, and in the evening and my skin healed. So I have to check your recomendations.

      I don’t believe in tallow products I don’t like anything that is animal-based and I also think it can be incredibly clogging to the pores that are really hair follicles. There is also no evidence that tallow does anything to feed the skin or act like an antioxidant. There are simply so many other choices.

      We all have natural fungus and bacteria always on our skin and it is when we leave an opening for it that we have an issue . This can be from bad skin care products, bad sunscreen, foundation and concealer or even the water in your home. My belief is that along with rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis. It is one of the most oily diagnosed skin diseases and just active fungus. Cleanse apple cider vinegar or apple cider vinegar and Monistat and once you’ve let Monistat 7 sit for about 10 minutes do not rinse off and apply some cornstarch over. It be very consistent with this even throughout the day.You should also wear sunscreen daily made with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide along with a wide-brimmed hat. Hi Lisa, do you still recommend Elta MD UV Physical 41? I think saw it in one of your videos. Also do you happen to use any fragrance free haircare products? I've had to go all fragrance free due to health problems, but the fragrance free haircare products i've tried so far haven't been very good, especially for my dry grays. Also, what do you think about ionic hair dryers (which are most, if not all hair dryers these days). I just read that if it's ionic it means it's releasing small amounts of ozone that we're breathing in. My hair looks awful if i air dry it though. It's starting to feel like everything is bad for us!

    • @leemealz6088
      @leemealz6088 3 місяці тому +1

      @@PeachesSkinCare Hi Lisa, thanks for your response. Do you happen to know what chemical was added to Elta MD UV Physical 41 specifically? It's the only physical sunscreen so far that I don't mind the feel/look of. I found their ingredient list from years ago and compared it to their current list and it doesn't seem to have changed.
      I can't use the Malin and Goetz one because I have an allergic reaction to Niacinamide. I haven't tried DRMTLGY's physical sunscreen yet, but I'd be concerned about their Daydream one. It contains the chemical sunscreen ingredient butyloctyl salicylate which is a form of Octisalate, but in a form where they can get around the regulations and only have to list it in the inactive ingredient section instead of the active ingredient section. That's the "scam" many companies pull with their "all mineral" sunscreens. It's added to keep the product from leaving a white cast because it basically makes it into a hybrid mineral/chemical sunscreen.
      All hair dryers, and hair dryer brushes, on the market today use ionic technology. It's one of the main selling points because they release negative ions which help to reduce frizz, smooth hair, and shorten drying time. But I saw some articles explaining ionic technology, and apparently low levels of ozone are released as a part of that technology. One researcher said that he doesn't think it's enough ozone to cause a problem over a lifetime (he wasn't completely sure), but he didn't understand why just for the sake of "beauty" something unhealthy like that was created. But it's unavoidable these days unless everyone just lets their hair air dry. Which makes mine look terrible! So I have to use one like most people seem to need to. It seems there are only a small number of people who are blessed with hair that looks good after air drying only.
      As for my gray hair, nothing seems to moisturize and tame it, not even Phillip Kingsley's famous hair mask (which is fragrance free). My hair, like yours, is only partly gray. My natural brown hair still looks good no matter what I use on it, but the grays which are mostly on top and in the front (brown underneath and in the back) look dry and frizzy. Unfortunately both Pantene and Orbie products contain fragrance so I can't use them. The search continues!
      So sorry for such a long comment, Lisa!

      Good morning 🍑
      Unfortunately I no longer recommend Elta Md because they add chemical sunscreen ingredients. For now stick to the ones I suggest. I hope this helps. Have a lovely day 🧡🙌🏼🍑Lisa

    how then do u protect u skin i like to lay in the sun for 30 min ?

      @PeachesSkinCare  3 місяці тому +1

      The sun is not our enemy🧡 do you know your skin and if you want to put one of the sunscreens I recommend on while you’re laying out you can. I always protect my neck and chest and face with a wide brimmed hat and sometimes I even put a towel over my legs. Enjoy the sun. It’s good for you. Just be healthy while doing it and be healthy with the routine you use on your body and skin. Have a blessed and beautiful day Ursula🙌🏼🧡🍑Lisa

      I hope you've switched to a physical sunscreen, as it shouldn't irritate your eyes. Have a great day 🙌🏻🧡🍑Lisa

    What about organic???

    • @PeachesSkinCare
      @PeachesSkinCare  3 місяці тому +1

      Deanna🍑
      Organic doesn’t always need much. It only one in 10 ingredients is organic it’s really about the active ingredients you could have organic with a ton of chemicals. Does this make sense? Thank you for choosing to be here today Deanna. Have a blessed and beautiful week. 🙌🏼🧡🍑Lisa

    Hi Lisa. I was wondering if you have heard of and what you think about the sunscreen haruharu Wonder. Personally, I love it. I have and still do use the drmtolgy tinted, but in the hot Ohio heat I find it is too greasy. They do have a matt one out now, but it is still somewhat greasy in this hot weather. I like a glow, but not greasy. The malan and goats sound nice, but the price is rather expensive for the amount you get. I sit by 2 big windows when I am relaxing, but I keep the curtains closed because I have dry eye syndrome which the sunlight affects. Is it necessary to wear sunscreen at these times? Also, this is off topic, but as you were mentioning an analogy of using alcohol in your cooking, do you feel a glass of wine now and them is harmful? I just heard a cardiac surgeon say there is no amount of alcohol that is safe. I have 7 to 8 ozs. of red wine per week, but now I feel like I need to give it up. I know these are loaded questions, but I also know that you are concerned about what we put into our bodies. Thanks, and have a great week!

      They do not show their active ingredients and that is always bothersome to me. Do you see it on any of your tubes or boxes? It also says it is a chemical sunscreen, which is also concerning. It alsomentions the EWG list, but I have to be honest I’m very weary of that list, because they do not say how much of an ingredient is used and what the purpose is. I hope this helped a little.🤔
      Thank you for choosing to be here todayKathy have a blessed and beautiful week 🧡🙌🏼🍑Lisa

      If I could encourage you to try even just a few products they last for several months! Several!! Im in my 7th month and still have about 1/4 of my cleansers left if that gives any indication. Your skin will respond beautifully to this line of products and you will love it. Best to you. 🌸
