To be honest when I first started watching this series I was thinking this motor will never run. You were talking about first time honing a cylinder and first time lapping valves I was very impressed with your mechanical skill. Also props to the pilot of the drone
Thank you! I’ll be put to the test again with my 83 XR200 soon…I need to split the motor to install a new countershaft so I’ll have the transmission to deal with this time! I’ll let my bud know his flight skills are enjoyed too…he was flying that drone lol
@@Garage2Trail I’ll check it out if you film it. I have a special place in my heart for the XR200 I had brand new 1989 model. I rode that thing everywhere. It was a very capable machine. In the tight stuff on single track it’ll hang with anything. It was the perfect woods bike. My friends were all riding big bikes and I could always hang with them. I always tell people ride something you can ride, it’s not fun picking up a giant heavy bike all day.
@@ShinyKnife exactly! I had an 87 back in the mid 90s as my first full sized bike and it was the ultimate tight woods machine. I’ll be keeping this 83 because it’s just as good. With a fresh top end it will be even better than before!

The old Xr 200 were great bikes , kind of like the old kdx bikes. But dude you should really get a helmet and googles .
