So by process of elimination, we now know Etho has the froglights permit as his diamond tier, and kelp and andesite as his gold tiers.

@@richardcope5066 honestly an interesting selection of farms. all can be fully made automatically thanks to the crafter now so i wonder what his gameplan will be.
That froglight permit is the top of the S-tier, and he can set whatever price he wants, since:
- they're objectively the best light blocks (maybe second to shroomlights)
- they can't be collected manually
- suitable bastions are rare enough that I doubt anyone else will build a personal farm

I am behind on doc vids this season and so this is the first time i have heard the logic behind his scheme. The sand duping debacle being the villian origin story, and he is going to turn the whole server into sand famers instead instead of accepting diamonds is inspirationally petty
Now eventually it will spiral into someone using his scheme to sell him lots of collected sand, but who loses in that end?
More like people buy sand from scar ro buy log... Or just another war... Cause there's a permit office and not forgetting false Jocker Permit

This was said after grinding 16hrs a day for three days straight to gather the materials for his shop, which, btw, is so massive you can see it from as far as you set your render distance.

I love the hermit permits honestly. It's such a fun twist on the shopping district and opens up for so much collaboration between trading permits and the collective item shops

It’s a good thing the hermits are friends. Otherwise, these permits would just create monopolies and allow hermits with the best permits to overprice everything

@@CW11721 The permits were intended to create monopolies which will lead to funny situations: including overpricing, sand as the new "gold standard" or fiat currency, and wars. Robber barons. It's going to be the Gilded Age all over again.
Grian is a genius even when he doesn't intend to be, Or, maybe he knows exactly what he's doing. Resource monopolies were introduced in the Life Series.
@@qubit0000 Yep, it seems like the real purpose of the permit system is to create opportunities for the Hermits to interact and collaborate with each other. Way better than a bunch of solo shop-building videos.
One nice thing about the permit system is that it ensures there will be a shop even for low-volume items most wouldn't think to monetize, so if you need some random item for a build you can theoretically find it without going chest raiding or wasting two hours making a micro farm.

1:30 thank you for this. I've seen some real toxicity in the fan base lately that seems to be ignoring the fact that *these are adults* who *meet regularly* off-camera. No one is "stealing" someone else's villagers, say, without making sure everything is copacetic.

1. Continuing my trend of paying way too much attention to bg music, the music hit at 13:03ish as Mumbo's section starts is GREAT.
2. Absolutely incredible video as always, I cannot imagine stringing all of these into a coherent series of segues when you can't be sure who will even release an ep in a given week. Compliments to the team!!

Between the Grian/Mumbo trade debacle and the Cheapslate thing from season eight, these two have quite the comedy duo going on.
I don't know if the piano notes at 4:15 are in bdub's original video, if it's from music added for this video, or if it was intentionally added as a joke, but having that right as he says "this is the scale" is absolutely brilliant XD

Iskall's base is the return of Etho's monstrosity. He's completely unhinged this season. It might end up cyberpunk, but he's not going for cyberpunk.
@@memyselfishness Not unhinged at all, but cold and calculating to cause as much "chaos" and emotional distress to as many S-tier Hermits, the competition, as possible. He'll tire himself out eventually and "burn out" like last time.

The deep dark raid with Impulse, Skizz and Tango is some of the funniest Minecraft footage I have ever seen! Highly recommended if you haven’t seen it yet.
The directional sound from my earbuds made me shriek in surprise when Beef laughed loudly to my left at 5:46 in the video. My heart is still beating out of my chest 😂

I love the recaps. It's really fun seeing clips from what I've seen and then seeing ehat eveyone else was up to. It means I can watch my favorite members and still feel caught up with the whole season each week.

This season is season 6 nostalgia al over again man. The references just keep coming.
I'll be honest, sometimes I look forward to the recap more than the hermits themselves. Like, a proper hermitcraft vid and the recap fill two different niches of 'thing that sparks joy'. Y'all do an amazing job on this every week. (I do watch the hermits too tho. Iskall's behind the scenes stuff is especially fun this season)

20:48 i wish the potion effects effecting horses would still be a thing. Yes, speed pot effected when breeding a horse, and parents with buffed up speed, gave the speed pot buff to kid and the kid horse would have speed pot buff permanently and it stacked, you could find horse breedings where horses eventually get too fast and they cant breed cause they are spinning so fast. but only on bedrock, also effected on pigs, and eventually you would have absurdly fast horse. but i guess for beef, he would have used slowness pot to force extremely slow horse.
In C. S. Lewis' The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (one of the Chronicles of Narnia books), they discover a humanoid species with only one large leg that hop instead of walk. Maybe Joe is just cosplaying as one of those.
I love iskall.

False Symmetry should make her permit the diamonds permit. All the diamonds used in the market district have to be Symmetry Brand diamonds. The other hermits have to bring her resources that she needs in order to aquire Symmetry diamonds. She could even offer conversion for a fee. Something like give her five diamonds, get four Symmetry diamonds back.
Do you want Docm77 to start duplicating diamonds on the server again? Because that's how you get Docm77 to start duplicating diamonds.
It is great to see the mini games that were a big part in last season have continued into season 10. They add a great dynamic to the series.
I know what happened to Doc. You see, Doc is half machine right? so at that moment, his machine half updates and reboots resulting in that 'what' moment. I rest. no case I'm just gonna go rest. xD
