Hello, I just received my PA., ccw permit. I have a permit from my home state of NJ. Going tru the process of getting my PA permit was quick, simple and easy. It took one week to obtain the permit. Just have all your ducks in order and the process will be easy for anyone who qualifies.
I live in The Peoples Republic of New York. I heard that from the deputy at the scanner in PA when I went to pick up my non resident CCW permit and have used it ever since. I mailed in my application and verification's and in just about a week I got my phone call to come get my permit. I have since renewed it once. Both events were very easy and straight forward. The way it should be.
PA licenses are all issued by he Sheriffs. So, there might be different experiences among those who got them from different counties. I got mine from Luzerne County. I did the entire application online and was called when it was approved. I drove there to pick it up. The photo was taken, the Deputy Sheriff gave me my card, and I was done in 5 minutes. I didn’t need references or fingerprints. Just a copy of my current resident permit from Connecticut.
I’ve got my CT resident, Utah and Florida non-resident permits. Looking into Pa, Sc and NY now. For the Utah I needed a class, but not Florida. I just followed the instructions on their website, so very easy. Thank you for the vid! Nice to hear Pa was an easy go...
As of right now, NY does not have a non resident license, and doesn't have reciprocity with almost any state, but that may change here after the elections.
@@timtellstales1491 yes, I sent an email to the state troopers looking for info. One must own property and/or be a state resident. It does seem purely unconstitutional that our 2A rights disappear once we cross an invisible border in the sand... Let’s hope things change for the better!

Greetings, this is a big help. I applied directly to the state and was rejected as a non-resident. I will be vacationing in PA at the Poconos Shawnee resort in June. I have a MD, AZ, and FLA cc. Can you tell me if have to go to the county municipal center or state police barracks. Thank you.
It should be the sheriff's office. I'm not familiar with exactly where that resort is, but my guess is either Wayne, Monroe or Pike county. I'd just contact the sheriff's office in whichever county you'll be staying in.
@@timtellstales1491, I followed your advice and checked the county's willingness to issue out-of-state CCW permits. I have a MD CCP and was able to apply online in York County PA. I have to pick it up in person once approved. I plan to get Utah permit to carry in Delaware.
I live in Pennsylvania and have a ccw here, but I want to be able to carry when I travel to Delaware and New Jersey. If I get an Utah ccw will Delaware recognize it? New Jersey is perhaps a loss cause… they just passed a bill making it impossible for me. They won’t even allow you to carry on your own vehicle
Unfortunately, being a Pennsylvania resident, you cannot get a license to carry in Delaware. I live in Delaware and I am able to get an out-of-state Pennsylvania license but unfortunately Delaware does not allow out-of-state licenses..
That’s so dumb. Why do they make it hard for people who try to do things the right way? The law is setup to get us caught up. It literally take me 15 minutes to get to Delaware from where I’m at now. And I have family that moved there. Some people say I can get an Utah out of state license for Delaware but I don’t trust it.
Meanwhile, police officers and retired police can carry on all 50 states lol. I don’t understand why people aren’t in an uproar about the blatant denial of our rights 🤷♂️

Pa. Shouldn't give to people from states that don't recognize ours period. to you the people get the law changed in your screwed up state then it wouldn't matter
