Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 лют 2016
- A super bright USB LED strip light from cdrking that can run from a powerbank or AC USB power adapter.
The strip is 35cm long and has an emitting angle of 140 degrees. A color temperature of 6000 - 6500K (white day/sunlight).
Inside you'll find an aluminum backed PCB strip with 24 LEDs. It features a fairly long cable with a power switch and magnetic mounting accessories.
So far, this is the best USB LED bulb / LED strip from CDRKING.
The model number is LED-418-M or TM-1614 . It operates at 5V (USB power) and consumed 1 amp, totaling 5 watts.

Very nice review, thanks for the effort, I'm going to get this one.
nice , imma get this one . need this for lighting
now I want to buy one... I have that usb bulb light because I love your vids.. :)
I like all of your videos, i learn a lot. Thank you
Nice to see some metering .
Awesome Review Bro
quite nice, probably useful for my photography projects.
+francis estanislao I was thinking the same :P An LED video light that mounts on top of a camera is pretty expensive. I could DIY one with a P99 powerbank and one or two of these strips.
I've purchased this from wish and it really is a nice bit of kit.
Why df are you shoping on wish you luky you recived your pakege
Taenaa cdr kingg😭💓💓
Holy crap.. A cdrking 5w LED that actually is 5w..
cool
i hope there will be rgb leds to use on my table
+Gadget Addict Good Job as usual! I love it that you review cdrking stuff! I already have a project in mind that could use this. I'm not very good when it comes to electrical though, so my question is... is it ok to solder 2 of these and use 1 power bank or 1 usb charger?
+Tee Dee These draw around 1A maximum. So if your charger/powerbank rating says it can output 2A or higher, it should work fine. Instead of cutting the USB cables, you might prefer to pop the plastic end caps off and then solder the positive and negative between the two strips. That way you can always put them back to normal later.
Good idea! I'm planning to make lighted vanity mirror for my wife and use 2 of these to light it up one on each side. That way she can carry it for her make up sessions and maybe even use a power bank if need be.
Tee Dee That's awesome! Maybe you can share a pic when you've finished it! :)
Tee Dee bump

How much is this
Where did you buy the bendy USB LED light one?
I am actually quite surprised that you had your hands on a true rated product from CDR-King.
+Ruben Haha. I wonder if they hired someone new to import products. Cos there was the powerbank which is a new arrival and then this LED strip which is also a new arrival. So far it's looking good for the latest batch of products!
good job sir.. we expect more and more review...
+Power Chords Thanks! :)
Thank you sir for coming here in the philippines and do a review on all local gadgets...
can u pair it with adaptor and then plug it in the switch?
is this more bright than xiaomi fleksible led light? if true, how much more bright? thanks for nice video :)
5630 with 5v :/ we need a CDRKING in the states
can i use this as a background/ put at the back of the tv? is it a great idea?
You could. Whether it would look good or not, I don't know.
wow what a nice review, anyways can we use 5 of it and connect all wires to make it one and plug it to a powerbank?
+Herbert Willkomm most powerbanks wouldn't be able to light 5 because that would be 5A. If you check the ports on your powerbank you'll see it's capable of outputting 2A or 1A
Still need a CD-Rking in Chicago atleast
Yeah it would be awesome if they had branches worldwide or at least a decent online site for ordering..
Gadget Addict heck even a warehouse is different countries pretty much will put eBay and amazon a run for their money
where can i get the battery meter?
The 5 watt that your getting is not directly proportional to what the LED is getting. You may want to compute for the power that each smd resistors are drawing. Can you check the value of those resistors so we can calculate the power draw of the LED's then do approximation on how much lumens does it outputs? As seen on the video, its equipped with 5630 LED's in which can draw 0.5W each max.
+Aljon Pobar Yeah, I did wonder if anyone would bring that up The reason why I didn't go into further depth is because firstly the people interested in this strip probably don't want to go into that level of electronic detail and secondly because it truly is amazingly bright. But I can update the description and comment section and I can use my light meter to compare it against AC 5W LED bulbs :)
Thanks for that information. i will definitely buy one. BTW, im just wondering, can you post a video about yourself? like FAQ style? we would like to know more about you.
As mentioned of the resistors... it creates a power drop and so as well a surge protection on the leds for the excessive current. A passive method of current limiter. Thus a fixed power loss.
This can be replaced by a 24bit led driver IC to have better efficiency. Yet it can be set like a dimmer as the ISET resistor is adjusted.
Hi! I just had my USB LED light from CD R king what i did was i connected it into usb adaptor and plugged in into my power extension what happened was after a long period it overheated esp the usb tip and turned off... checked it a few unplugged and plugged it back good thing it turned on again. meaning i cant leave it on for a long time coz it overheats . does it do same to your led bar?
+Petite Fleur what's overheating, the LED bar or your power adapter? It's probably your USB power supply.
Gadget Addict cant tell maybe the adapter . coz the usb tip of the led bar is hot too. how to solve this?
Hi i just bought exactly the same product just two days ago. Just like what happened to Petite after several hours the bar gets hot the usb cable and the adapter gets hot. But when i put it in the powerbank it still work. Can it really work in DC?What seems to be the problem. Thanks for your help...
i bought one for P250. it says 7w on the box. i wonder if it is really different from the one in this video.
That's the new version :) I've seen it in the store. The 7W version has the same design but is a bit longer.
Hi GA, I was wondering how long will a regular 10000 MAH powerbank last.
Ki Poini 7 hours with 5 w one and 5 hours with the 7w one.
How much rating gave this product
What do I search for when looking for that volt, amp, watt reader as there's too many different types on eBay
+Foolio2008 just search for USB watt meter or USB doctor. I recommend those from portapow.
can this be used as a lighting for videos?
I guess yes. I am using something similar to that light bulb and it works too but there is always shadow in wrong place. This should do much better.
I'm sold... I've been thinking of making a my own led banks for small video productions.
But at ₱200 these are a nice and light for on-camera use or hiding in tight spots.
+Eisen Job Alquiza yeah it's a great cheap alternative to professional LED video lights. Of course you have no control over colour temp and brightness but it's better than having no/poor lighting that gives dark and grainy video!
purches online link please ?
How much is this
comparison between the P50 usb buld and this led strip? i already have 2 usb bulb
+oOolrac19 I think the diffuser on the LED strip allows more light to pass compared to the P50 bulb. Plus the P50 bulb is at best 3.5 watts and usually more like 2 watts, depending on how you wiggle the cable. The strip has an aluminum backed PCB while the bulb just has a regular PCB. For long life and no hassle, the strip is probably better. But for maximum value for money, 4 of the P50 bulbs might give you more light.
Should be about 250-300 lumens
can i use this and directly plug it to power socket?
If the current produced is 1A from the socket having usb port then yes. Else you will need an adapter
Link for buying
Good day. I bought one and try, but after 1 or 2 hour of using its over heating my powerbank. Dont know happen. Im using the 150 pesos powerbank.
What makes you think it's over heating ?
+Gadget Addict battery is hot.
+Marie Giselle Ventura Okay, that's not especially unusual. Batteries get hot when charged or discharged at a high rate. This LED strip draws a constant 1 amp at 5V :)
+Gadget Addict Ok thank you
how to purchase....?
where can i buy it??
does it have a blue led version ?
Not that i'm aware of.
would you know how many hours or minutes will i be able to use this light using a 5000 mAh power bank???
+syaoran101 if it's a genuine 5,000 mAh then 4-5 hours :)
+Gadget Addict cool. thanks!
Where branch did you bought this? Can't find it anymore in any branch :/ [Answered]
+Jay Kurosaki I think I got it from Megamall. I don't know f they still have stock but Alimall branch does.
Got mine from SM Bicutan.
One question tho, is it cuttable? I need to cut it since it's too long for my cpu. Hehe.
hello bro this is used to smartphone to supported
How to order this in india
Man eBay is slow to get these or doesn't describe them
Hi Gadget Addict, do you happen to know if CDR King still sells this? :)
They do, it's a very popular item. They also sell a 7W version :)
Gadget Addict thank you so much for the quick response! :)
You're welcome :)
do they also sell a USB powered LED light strip?
+Jovito Callangan this is usb powered ..
Gadget Addict yeah thanks, but do they have like a simple light strip (the one with no alluminum backing) because I think it's easier to set up at the back of a telivision or computer...
anyways thx
nice like that one what the price again ?
+Kriss Bartlett It's 200 PHP :)
oh sorry you did say that sorry im a bit sleepy wasn't you it was me ok thanks looked good and bright
Kriss Bartlett Haha that's okay! And yeah it's a decent light :D
idol can i make a request can you pls make a video on how I can use led strip and connect it to AC plug, I saw a lot off led strip being sold at raon st. and please visit raon thanks a lot idol more power I hope to meet you soon.
+leobel vargas you just need to buy a P40 AC USB charger like the ones used for phones :) I'll try vlog there one day :p
is it a good idea to use that in and on your car?
+Adrian Glenn Bionat I guess you could. But it might be easier and cheaper to just buy a 5 meter 12V LED strip if you want in car lighting :)
+Gadget Addict right. but it is kind of bright. it would do well under the vehicle I reckon.
Is it still being sold?
Yes it is. And a 7W version too.
Thank you!
Gadget Addict hi where did you saw the 7w usb led light? which branch of CDR King? (loc)
Is this water proof ??
It's not but you can find similar products sealed in a kind of rubber or silicone on eBay.
how much is that?
+Mr. JmmL 200 PHP (4.20 USD)
Bro how machi
200 PHP :)
actually I see that on there wedsite but a can't find one on store bullshi*
+Juan Paolo DIY! It's a new arrival so it will take some time before stock arrives at all their stores. Try SM Mega :)
This new item is from last week
Juan Paolo DIY! lol I dunno what to say man. Different stores stock at different times and unfortunately some stores don't get the new stock. Like if you go to cdrking in SM Marikina; they rarely get new stock and all the crap they couldn't sell at other stores ends up piled up to the ceiling in the Marikina branch lol
+Gadget Addict OK lol😅
Can you turn this in a battery operated?
Sure, just plug it into a USB battery pack or put some AAs in series until you make ~5V.
