I haven't read any books (except for school) in like a year, but you're motivating me to start again. I used to love reading but my depression just made me drop everything I liked. I'm going to reread books I own first, and then I'll buy some new ones. But yeah. Thank you for helping get over my *huge* reading slump. :)
She did the same for me, and I'm so so grateful. I couldn't read for almost 2 years, but she inspired me to read again, and now I've read 6 books in a month, and I'm happy again. C:
If you struggle to read despite loving it, I would suggest every heart a doorway and its sequels, because they are heartwarming and short and extremely, extremely good to read.

I participated in the 24 in 48 readathon this weekend 😊 I didn't get to read 24 hrs, but I read for 16 and a half hours and got to finish 3 books. So I still feel accomplished!

Also, I will always be happy with more reading vlogs. Readings vlogs are my favorite type of videos to watch. They're so relaxing and I think the reading vlogs I've been watching have been a large part of why I've been so motivated to read. I've read 6 books this month which is more books than I've ever read in a month and I'm definitely going to finish my current read in the next couple days, which I'm really psyched about.

The way you felt about Persepolis is what my mother-in-law says about books like Waiting For Snow in Havana. She also devours Holocaust novels because she says that reading about survivors reminds her of her experience surviving the Cuban Revolution and coming to the United States.

Persepolis is so awesome. I've grown up listening to my mom's and her family's stories about the revolution, too, so I had similar thoughts on that book.

I had to read Persepolis for school last year and it was so good. It really opened up my eyes to what people experienced during that time in Iran, and I loved the art style. Glad you enjoyed it. Also congrats on 100K!

This month I've read 20 books so far, which is where I used to be over a year ago. The last year I really struggled (for me) I'm so happy I've been in the reading groove again!

I think you should definitely vlog more if you have the opportunity! It was a real joy to just watch you talk about the books you were reading as you were reading them and it's just very soothing to listen to you talk about things. Keep up the great work and congratulations on 100k!
I loved the Weight of Feathers. I was a bit skeptical at the beginning but I couldn't stop once it started picking up speed. And I've yet to read Persepolis but I really want to!

((Congrats on 100K!!!)) Persepolis is one of my fave graphic novels of all time. It’s awesome you got to read something that you can relate to personally. I really liked what you said about how it reaffirms the reality. I read a book about a Mexican American girl growing up and I felt the same way.
