I love how their skin is so flawless, and yet they’re all like: “Yeah, we break out! All the time! I’ve got a pimple right here!” Pointing to an in Invisible nothing on their perfect faces
Andrea McKeehan I like all of them but I think Claire is the most "Korean" too haha. She's very beautiful and she does have the typical elegant pretty Korean look.

Manya I agree, I mean just because you love kpop doesn't mean you have to obsess over everything korean. Now I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything but I don't think that having a thing for korean boys makes you a koreaboo. At least not to a certain extent. I think a lot of people have a preference, but if you're stuck on that whole "I'll only date a korean boy" thing then you're being too obsessive. I don't mean to start anything I just wanted to share my opinion 😊
I agree but disagree. Obsessing over a country just because a group of people are from there and looking for the natives to be all about them is weird. You shouldn’t assume people like the group just because they’re from the same country. At the same time however, I started to like South Korea because of BTS and so started to learn the language and culture- not because BTS is from there and I need to feel connected to them in some way, but because they introduced a culture and language to me that intrigues me. So all I’m going to say is that not ALL people are OBSESSED over Korea because of things like that, but most people are interested in it.
Cool video 💚 I’m a Latina teaching English in a couple Korean Elementary schools and the beauty standards are no joke. I’ve heard the darnest things from both students and colleagues about my curves, hair and complexion🤣Chiiiile let me tell u these beauty standards are wack and start at a very young age. Women having to weigh 50 kg or lower to be considered normal/ healthy is true. Found my fourth grade girls in the nurses room weighing each other. All of them are super thin except for Da-Hyeon - she is a solid healthy girl that would be considered skinny in the US. I could see it in her face that she was terrified of having to go on the scale. So, I jumped on the scale before the next girl and I said my turn! I shouted ohh 97 kilos ! I win! They all shrieked and I scooted them off to class. The look of relief on Da-Hyeon’s face was priceless. I’ve got another student I’ve been teaching since kindergarten. Super smart and vivacious little girl- I call her little miss sunshine. Well, she is chubbilicious and she is the only child in the entire school whose parents have arranged with the school that she must get half meal portions as well as strict fruits and veggies during snack time, all in effort to “ control “ her weight. I’ve seen her develop a weight complex in the span of 4 years and it hurts. I’m a vegetarian and eat my lunch in my classroom. Since she finishes her meal before everyone else she comes over to my classroom and chit chats away. I share my dessert with her sometimes and I tell her it’s ok. It’s heartbreaking when she has her bad days due to bullying/ teasing. I have her list all the names so that I set my older students straight. Now all my students know not to mess with her 🤣🤣 5th and 6th graders do wear a bit of makeup ( lip tint, glittery eye shadow and nail polish) and middle schoolers walk around looking like cherry blossoms/spring all year round 😬✌🏽
Aisha Landeros yeah I know that channel. But i also think it would be nice for them to do a video like that here. This channel has a bigger audience and just because there’s a Pero Like channel doesn’t mean everything Latinamerican has to be pushed out of other channels and put into that one. I think it would be cool if this channel did a series about people from different nationalities answering questions.
Omfg i can relate so much to this tho cuz im korean but i lived in america for 11 years. like as soon as i got to korea these girls were like “waiT ARE U A BLOOD TYPE O I KNEW IT YASS” and i was like “..what?” And their goal in life is to have a small face and be skinny and it just upsets me to see all these beautiful girls stressing over their appearance because of the unrealistic beauty standards in korea
Gaon Kim even tall girls have to weight less than 110lb? Chubby girls are bullyed? I think I'm skinny but maybe in SK after seeing this video and your commnect I may be overweight :0
Yeah, the pressure to be pretty is definitely there. I've noticed myself focusing a lot more on how I look than I usually do, after getting into kpop and stuff. It kind of bothers me how it's always at the back of my mind, even though I know I should love myself and the way I am.
I'm chinese and the pressure to get skinny body are real, it was like planted in my brain by the society and chinese celebrity have unrealisticly skinny body, when i was 12 my grandmother said that I'm fat and i started to over think about it and starving myself, I'm 15 now and i eat once a day everyday because of that, i always feel tired and hungry but the pressure is from myself :'((
please don't starve yourself :( its the worst & most unhealthy way to 'diet/lose weight'. i know that unfortunately the social standard & mean comments family make can really negatively impact our self imagine but listen, the people we see on tv/internet like celebrities are not the average & we shouldn't compare ourselves to them. when you don't eat you're not getting enough nourishment to keep your body strong & its making you weaker. think of it this way, when you finally have that one meal a day, your body will desperately hold onto the tiny amount it gets & will make you bloated, doing the opposite of what you want. if you truly aren't happy with how you look and are really determined to lose weight i hope you consider working out as a healthy alternative. if you're not into weights & running you can always try fun dance videos (like me!) or sports? & if you're not comfortable having 3 big meals a day yet, you can have 6 smaller portioned meals throughout the day (like 'snacks'). also remember to eat your biggest amount of food earlier in the day (breakfast/brunch) that way you burn the calories while you're moving/walking around all day long. remember that a strong mind, body & soul are the MOST beautiful features a person can have. food is fuel! & feeding your body the proper nutrients it needs will give you more energy to go out & live your life to the fullest & happiest :)
I watched this because I’m currently in Korea because my husband is in he army. And honestly I’m not even Korean and haven’t been here for long, but all there are true. And Koreans skin all look amazing out here! I haven’t used any of their products, but it’s suuuper cheap too! The most expensive skincare I’ve came across was like 18,500 won. Which is roughly like $18.
I just paid almost $400 for skincare and makeup at ULTA, and its not even for a full face (here in the U.S.). $17 for a CosRX toner, $21 for another CosRX essence, and the list goes on...
I hope you enjoy Korea as much as I did. I was stationed at Osan in the '80's. The Korean women there were so kind to me. I was one of the few American women there and they really were so sweet to me. They are also drop dead gorgeous...
Wynstan'sMom THEY ARE ALL SOOO BEAUTIFUL! I’m trying to get out and adventure but my husband and I are getting a dog so I won’t be having to go out on my own while he’s at work because that scares the crap out of me. He’s a little Jindo and he’s sooo cute
There is sooo much to see and do. You will be safer than you know because all of your Korean neighbors will keep an eye out for you. Times have changed but I doubt the Korean people have changed in that regard. There were no dogs or cats around when I was there, times had been tough. I'll bet your little Jindo is a big comfort. Have you tried that to-die-for bbq chicken that is found in the market? I still dream of that.
mmm... I'll study English after getting 2 language certificate (to become a Translator) and get one of the highest scores in the test of proficiency in the language I'm currently learning. lol Oh, and if you're gonna use ellipsis, its (...) not (..)
Raksmey Han Well no need to be so rude, he's merely stating a fact, if you think that's insulting then leave it be or be seen as immature, and if you don't care then go ahead.
Literally just started using Korean skin care from the face shop and my skin looks so good!!they have a pretty good price range for skin care, especially when there is a sale. I really like it and I’ve only been using it for 2 weeks
some comments are like “Im NoT a KoReAbOo OmG i JuSt LiKe KpOp AnD wHaNt An AsIAn BF, sOoO dIsRiSpEcTfUl” and “I’m not a koreaboo i just like kpop, and dramas and i wanna speak Korean and live in Korea and have a Korean bf and meet my oppa ARMY WHERE U AT SARANGE ONION HASEYO AIGOOOOO ARMYYYYY11111!!!!!”
for coming to the us at 12, she has a pretty slight accent...and they probably factor in other reasons as well like cultural understanding, since they probably know her better than we do
남들다하는흔한사랑한번못해본최강의전사 Beauty depends on preference. If the commentator above thinks the girl in the middle is pretty, then that’s fine. Your comment is quite mean, as if you’re insulting the commentator for thinking she’s pretty, in addition to insulting the girl. Not everyone will have the same opinion and perception.
fashionmwah I'm not trying to come off as rude or offensive i just think she is very pretty. The other two girls are pretty to. I just think the girl in the middle very sweet
Aw yeah BTS and Super Junior 😋💕 for real though, Korean skin care is A+, I would love to get some nice products if I ever have the opportunity to visit!
Kayanna Smith It bugs me that so many people who adopt children with different ethnicities don’t expose them to the culture. I hope you are able to learn more about your culture 💜💜
I lived in Korea for many years and think they are the most beautiful women on earth; the main operations they have are the double-eyelid surgery plus they often use skin-whitening products. They don't need either of those procedures in my opinion...
I'm Persian and even though I'm not really familiar with Korean culture there's A LOT of us who are obsessed with Korean culture; pop, dramas etc. Idk why but it seems to become more and more of a popular culture in the Middle East.
Sahar Arash that is actually so true!!! Everyone is just so fascinated with Korea and Korean culture here...and rightfully so, they are super gorgeous!
I find it so interesting how different races are completely different in size. I go to Target and the little girls section, I thought "Korean women would fit in some of those sizes" or "Korean children would find that too big on them" Not because of the obesity but because westerns are taller and bigger, I just find that neat how it differs.
The girl on the left reminds me of Krystal but they're all so pretty and I always enjoy learning things about different cultures- please do more like this for other countries!
Lol, you mentioned 3 boy groups that just happened to be my ultimate top 3 of kpop. :D It was nice to hear opinions of korean-american, with different perspective that just korean or just western girl. All of you look like nice people. :)
Zuzana Malisova it was her childhood but u don't remember much as u do when ur a adult. Plus I think she is in USA about simile years to 12 now and... she did become a teen and adult there so.
I've technically lived in Korea for most of my life but went to international schools with American curriculum and speaking English 95% of the day...so yeah... its possible I would say I'm 4/10 Korean
as a korean raised by white people all three of them seem 100000000% korean to me. maybe some of their cultural mannerisms are americanized but I cant tell personally
? If you are raised by white people that means you didn’t grow up with korean culture, food, tradition and you probably don’t even speak the language so even if you are “korean” by blood, you are no different than a non-korean looking at these girls in the video LOL
You say that as if Koreans raised by white people aren't shown any exposure to Korean culture in their life. Look up Korean adoptee camps. Meet some adult adoptees. I was taken to Korean church and I was given books in hangul and taken to Korean restaurants. There were Korean flags hung in my house and we even had a 1st birthday (dol) hanbok. Maybe it's not much but it is still something. Please don't assume things about me just from looking at who raised me. Koreanness isn't something that is purely cultural anyways. In multicultural places like America it can mean a lot more.
as a korean i can totally relate to this vid. korea puts way too much pressure to girls to be always beautiful. we commonly get double eyelid surgery for our mid-school graduation gift just to be more beautiful. the size of all the clothes that are comming from the women's internet shop are all too small so you have to be super skinny to wear them. men point out and mock women a LOT who are fat. i just hope korea changes in a positive way
small face are like a thing here in argentina not a really standard but if you have an small face people points it out like a pretty thing, I think it has to do with delicate features idk
I'm European and my boyfriend holds my backpack/bag too, because it's heavy and the minute we leave he gives me all his keys and literally everything plus if we buy something it's always like "oh it fits into your bag" so he ends up carrying it..
They didn't ask the question of do all korean girls have plastic surgeries, and I wanted to see how they respond to that since it is always reported on news.

Madelyn Bonadio posture makes all the difference
cause asians are waaaay classier than americans in general
It's also her clothes and the color scheme of her clothes, they're classy 🙂

Skincare is unisex :) skincare isn’t divided~
Carmen K, i have eczema too, but on my face. Just wondering do u find these products make it better?
why does buzzfeed think koreans are the only asians that exist
Probably because they know the Korean fetishizers (kpop weirdos) will jump on any video that mentions Korea or Korean people sadly
Snow Bunny Prince as well as more normal people who just have an interest in the country and it’s culture, thanks to popular Korean media making its way into other countries. Those people do exist too, you know😂
Actually most people think Chinese is the only type of Asian
My guess is pop culture and how K-pop is making Koreans get more recognized.

They are so well-spoken. Buzzfeed should let these korean ladies have their own series!
Why did you assume they wouldn't be well spoken?
Now all my students know not to mess with her 🤣🤣
5th and 6th graders do wear a bit of makeup ( lip tint, glittery eye shadow and nail polish) and middle schoolers walk around looking like cherry blossoms/spring all year round 😬✌🏽
Can you do this same video idea with Mexicans. There’s no doubt that they go through a lot being in America
Eliza h. Ahhhh sí ellos necesitan lo hacer...
May i introduce you to the Pero Like channel...? I think they've done a similar video at some point
Krissy V *Ellos lo necesitan hacer.
Eliza h. yeesss i would love to see that
6:42 and I wasn't expecting them to pop up but I'm happy
Tasmin Loganberry ikr
Army!!
Me neither, I'm happy too lol
Ikr, my heart is happy
Tasmin Loganberry I screamed 😀
Ok they’re all gorgeous
Gaon Kim blood type persnallity is not a big deal..we(more like children)just accept it for fun
I like the blonde girl cause she looks really bubbly and pleasant
Ever Abby. H she looks like Han from a kpop group called StrayKids XD
they’re all sooo gorgeous. makeup beautiful, flawless, smiles are radiant :) girl on the right with short hair, i love her hair! she’s also so pretty
Cosrx stuff can be found on Amazon for cheaper prices (especially if you have Prime too)
I hope you enjoy Korea as much as I did.
I really loved this video, it would be cool if buzzfeed did this with a bunch of different places around the world
emma woodruff agree!
Agreed!
If you know and love BTS then the "worldwide" at 8:25 made you smile ;)
Taru Uppal “worldwide” is just a word.
Taru Uppal worldwide handsome -jin
ThatgirlAracelya yep, exactly! 😉💜
Debora Di Cristo
No it's an inside joke...
If you know Pitbull, the word "worldwide" made you smile ;)
Elementary schools girls know more about make up and skin care than me, once a 10 years old girl "teached" me how to use a primer lol
purplesky “taught” ?
yep, thank you! i wasn't sure about it
Tavon Fenwick how do you know their first language is English? Not everyone on this website is American
mmm... I'll study English after getting 2 language certificate (to become a Translator) and get one of the highest scores in the test of proficiency in the language I'm currently learning. lol
Oh, and if you're gonna use ellipsis, its (...) not (..)
Omg Claire is gorgeous! I can’t take my eyes off her!
Kiya plastic surgery is the answer
spaceandthewoods Oh stfu she said it makes her feel better
Kiya
White women are more beautiful than Korean women
Raksmey Han Well no need to be so rude, he's merely stating a fact, if you think that's insulting then leave it be or be seen as immature, and if you don't care then go ahead.
Okay? Why does it matter if she had surgery or not? She's still gorgerous
Literally just started using Korean skin care from the face shop and my skin looks so good!!they have a pretty good price range for skin care, especially when there is a sale. I really like it and I’ve only been using it for 2 weeks
"You are like an O, B or O.. Yeah, Yeah"
Me: TF IS GOING ON
I can already see the obsessive koreaboos
Youngjae Got7 its so embarrassing lmao

Hateful Gatito and „can you be my Chingu juseyooooo Unni saranghae :333“
Youngjae Got7 ommoooo 😖😖 onionhasmayo uknees 🤤🤤🤤
Youngjae Got7 You like Youngjae too? 💚💚
“There’s this phrase that girls shouldn’t weigh more than 50kg”
(50kg = 110 IB)
Me: *laughs in 124 IB*
I laugh in 63 kg.
I laugh in 65 kg
Laughs in 70 kg.
*laughs in 56 kg*
Lele Luka whaa how?!
YB is definitely more than 3.8. She still has quite a strong accent and speaks the language well.
she barely has an accent though lol
Personally, I agree that she has a very slight accent, but I do agree that YB should be at least 5/10 since she came when she was 12;
she has the least accent among the three lmao
Strong accent?? Where???? It's barely noticeable
for coming to the us at 12, she has a pretty slight accent...and they probably factor in other reasons as well like cultural understanding, since they probably know her better than we do
They're all so beautiful
Yaaas!!! An army!!
You know? That girl on the right, has very good taste in music..... idk why
Yup she is
Because she stans legends 💜 BTS 👑💕😍
Taehyung’s Gucci bag i can relate
Bangtan sonyeondan 💜💍 armyyy 💜
Cringe
The girl in the middle is sooo freakin pretty!!
남들다하는흔한사랑한번못해본최강의전사
No she's not. She looks really pretty
I agree she is finnneeeeeeeeeeeeeee
남들다하는흔한사랑한번못해본최강의전사 Beauty depends on preference. If the commentator above thinks the girl in the middle is pretty, then that’s fine. Your comment is quite mean, as if you’re insulting the commentator for thinking she’s pretty, in addition to insulting the girl. Not everyone will have the same opinion and perception.
To me, she’s the sweetest in the entire interview!
fashionmwah I'm not trying to come off as rude or offensive i just think she is very pretty. The other two girls are pretty to. I just think the girl in the middle very sweet
they're all so pretty, especially the girl on the far left omg
sebaekxingmi yes! Finally I was waiting for someone to mention how pretty she is ❤️
You mean the far right one? The left one is chubby lol
purexed she's completely normal. Maybe chubby compared to Korean beauty standards, but she has a perfect face! Her eyes are so beautiful
purexed so she's not pretty because she's chubby??
Wilde North we're gonna have to disagree. The girl on the right has perfect everything, the other two aren't even close.
Aw yeah BTS and Super Junior 😋💕 for real though, Korean skin care is A+, I would love to get some nice products if I ever have the opportunity to visit!
Yaaaaas far right with the bob! outfit is snatched!
I’m 100% Korean and raised in America by American parents. It’s interesting to learn all about this culture that I don’t know much about.
Kayanna Smith It bugs me that so many people who adopt children with different ethnicities don’t expose them to the culture. I hope you are able to learn more about your culture 💜💜
Joanna Aniela thanks :) I’ve been trying to learn as much as I can
I’m 100% Korean and lived in Korea all my life;;;; i never met a gyopo before and this interesting to me. so cool lol
you're 100% korean.....with American parents.....ok
Hiwotea Gebru American is a nationality not ethnicity.
It is the Hallyu Wave effect. Back centuries ago no one cared about korean culture and now it just exploded
Sahar Arash in the middle east??thats kind of surprising i knew it had spread a little in asia but middle east wow tell me more!!
Sahar Arash It seems like it’s getting more popular worldwide.
History is more interesting. You will be fascinated even more how close Korea and Iran are. We share very similar ancestry.
The blonde girl is stunning
Melek T Claire would be more popular in Korea
Melek T Her name is YB :)
ohdaUtube who cares? They're all beautiful no matter where they are regardless
I find it so interesting how different races are completely different in size. I go to Target and the little girls section, I thought "Korean women would fit in some of those sizes" or "Korean children would find that too big on them" Not because of the obesity but because westerns are taller and bigger, I just find that neat how it differs.
The girl on the left reminds me of Krystal but they're all so pretty and I always enjoy learning things about different cultures- please do more like this for other countries!
now that u mention it, she does look like krystal :o
i was literally thinking that same thing lol she really does
Super Junior and TVXQ! Love hearing the appreciation for 2nd gen boy groups! 💙
ishipthatfishycouple I legit squealed when YB said Super Junior... I was hoping for that!! 😍😍
Lol, you mentioned 3 boy groups that just happened to be my ultimate top 3 of kpop. :D It was nice to hear opinions of korean-american, with different perspective that just korean or just western girl. All of you look like nice people. :)
When she said bts i felt so proud omg and great video! They spoke well and they're all so pretty too
Omg the girl on the right looks like Shin Ryujin from JYP
she has a youtube channel too! her name's claire :D
taetaeholic I thought it was her lol
taetaeholic True that
Ohh the one from the highlight reels??
taetaeholic i see it omg
3:37
"I WANT THEM TO. I WANT THEM TO."
"WHY DON'T THEY G R A B ME?"
why is that me

Where are my elfs and cassiopeias at?
aw i love yb “love who you are and just eat”
I️ agree, skincare is so important in our culture. I️ remember as a young teen my mother would make sure I️ follow skincare regimens daily
How can she say she is 3.8 Korean when she was Born there and lived there for 12 years?!
Zuzana Malisova it was her childhood but u don't remember much as u do when ur a adult. Plus I think she is in USA about simile years to 12 now and... she did become a teen and adult there so.
I think it’s partly to do with their lifestyle, style, etc.
I've technically lived in Korea for most of my life but went to international schools with American curriculum and speaking English 95% of the day...so yeah... its possible
I would say I'm 4/10 Korean
Probably because teenage/adolescent phase of your life defines you more than age 0-12?
Zuzana Malisova Maybe she wants to be 3.8 Korean. Its an imaginary scale she can be whatever she wants.
as a korean raised by white people all three of them seem 100000000% korean to me. maybe some of their cultural mannerisms are americanized but I cant tell personally
as a korean belgian halfie i can definitly say that the second girl is the less korean :p but they are all really pretty and smart ;)
worship the comedy god seo eunkwang or else that username and pp tho
yeah im 2nd gen korean but all of them seem 50-100% korean
Why does the girl on the right look like ryujin from itzy
Chinese and Korean people are very identical to each other,it even takes 5 seconds to look at a person to recognize them.
all soo pretty
as a korean i can totally relate to this vid. korea puts way too much pressure to girls to be always beautiful. we commonly get double eyelid surgery for our mid-school graduation gift just to be more beautiful. the size of all the clothes that are comming from the women's internet shop are all too small so you have to be super skinny to wear them. men point out and mock women a LOT who are fat. i just hope korea changes in a positive way
The romance in K-drama is real in Korea?? 😁😁😁 because I admire it just soo much ...
mayo마요 nice try koreaboo.
I'm Korean too! I'm kinda ashamed of their standers as well, I love my country but I do wish the standers would change.
찌질은 한국남자 종특인가 반응 무엇
Yeah wish it changes for the better because it's making you uncomfortable in your own skin..
I felt so proud when she said "BTS" I was like "yes those are my babies, everyone please love them"
I am Mexican and my husband carries my bag. I might be 000000.1 Korean.
Ana Quijada oh god...😂😂😂 U made me laugh so much
They’re all so beautiful I’m jealous
nani?
Her long bob haircut is GOALS. So shiny and all the hair is in place 😍
This was pretty interesting . Thanks 😂😂🤗
small face are like a thing here in argentina not a really standard but if you have an small face people points it out like a pretty thing, I think it has to do with delicate features idk
Solana Avila they probably like the baby face look. Like Selena Gomez or jenni from blackpink
quino canino a wild tata has appeared
1:05 when she said “what’s soshimae?” And the first word I thought about was “careful” lmao
OMG YES SHOUTOUT TO SUPER JUNIOR AND DBSK!

I'm European and my boyfriend holds my backpack/bag too, because it's heavy and the minute we leave he gives me all his keys and literally everything plus if we buy something it's always like "oh it fits into your bag" so he ends up carrying it..
They are all so beautiful *.*
They didn't ask the question of do all korean girls have plastic surgeries, and I wanted to see how they respond to that since it is always reported on news.
I love YB smile !!
When the girl said BTS
I was like
Jumping and smiling
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜✨
the girl on the left is so cute, she looks like a doll! tbh they all gorgeous
Claire is so lovely, please put her in more future videos 💌👍🏼
