From a hairdresser's perspective: Women's haircuts are more expensive because they (typically) take more time. Even just a trim can take us 30-45 min, depending on if the client wants their hair blowdried, etc. A full haircut (basically more than a dry dusting of the very split ends) almost always includes a wash, which adds 5-10 minutes, then depending on the length of your hair the cut and blow-dry will add another 30-40 minutes, sometimes an hour. Men's haircuts (at most places) start at a baseline and are blocked out for 15-20 minutes, because usually they only require clippers which can take a shorter amount of time. Obviously if a man's hair is a little more high maintenance, and requires more work/ time most salons will start adding a certain amount of money per minute to the additional time a man's haircut would take if that were the case (past the initial booking period), so men's haircuts could easily go from $20 to $50 or $60 if they require the same amount of work as a woman's haircut! I hope this helps explain it a little, it's basically the same concept as a mechanic- we get paid based on the amount of time that is required for a service
I've been to a salon very few times in my life and all those times the hairdresser washed and dried my hair without asking if I wanted to. I always take a shower and wash (And condition) my hair before I go to a salon so it's never necessary but they never ask me if I want my hair washed & dried.

As a woman, I get a lot of hate for this but I can admit that I wear makeup to look nice. I do it for all the reasons. That includes looking good to others, which is kind of sad really, that we (women in general) have this pressure on us to always look flawless. But I also happens to love makeup, it's a way for me to express myself where words can't (I'm really introvert and have social anxiety heh), I love playing around with colors, I sit around at home playing with different looks and it's a way for me to make my inside match my outside, and of course I enjoy looking cute or badass ☺️ But I really think it's often a combination of reasons, and not always so cut-clean. Saying that you wear makeup to please others is considered to be a bad thing, a sign of weakness and an inability to stand up for what you want, so I don't think that's something most people want to say when asked that question. They would much rather say "Oh, but I love doing my makeup! It makes me feel good about myself, I'm doing it for me!" because then it seems like it's a hobby of theirs, and not to please others. My impression from most 1st world Feminists is that they feel oppressed even though there countries that doesn't allow women to vote. The real answer to why women's clothes are usually tight is because women come in a lot of different shapes and clothing companies make one shape in different sizes. So, they make clothes out of stretchy material so the clothes can fit a wider variety of shapes. :)

And I bet it wasn't for those women in history. Yes we dont know what it's like for you which is why women should also have respect for men. From a hairdresser's perspective: Women's haircuts are more expensive because they (typically) take more time. Even just a trim can take us 30-45 min, depending on if the client wants their hair blowdried, etc. A full haircut (basically more than a dry dusting of the very split ends) almost always includes a wash, which adds 5-10 minutes, then depending on the length of your hair the cut and blow-dry will add another 30-40 minutes, sometimes an hour. Men's haircuts (at most places) start at a baseline and are blocked out for 15-20 minutes, because usually they only require clippers which can take a shorter amount of time. Obviously if a man's hair is a little more high maintenance, and requires more work/ time most salons will start adding a certain amount of money per minute to the additional time a man's haircut would take if that were the case (past the initial booking period), so men's haircuts could easily go from $20 to $50 or $60 if they require the same amount of work as a woman's haircut! I hope this helps explain it a little, it's basically the same concept as a mechanic- we get paid based on the amount of time that is required for a service

I've been to a salon very few times in my life and all those times the hairdresser washed and dried my hair without asking if I wanted to. I always take a shower and wash (And condition) my hair before I go to a salon so it's never necessary but they never ask me if I want my hair washed & dried.

As a woman, I get a lot of hate for this but I can admit that I wear makeup to look nice. Not that I necessarily care what every single person thinks, and when I dont care at all I just don't wear any, but I don't think you lose any pride from admitting that you might wear makeup to impress others sometimes. I just get annoyed when other girls won't give up the fact that they only wear makeup for themselves as if they makes them stronger or something, idk I don't apply makeup when I'm at home all day but I do when I'm going out in public there's a reason behind that.

I do it for all the reasons. That includes looking good to others, which is kind of sad really, that we (women in general) have this pressure on us to always look flawless. But I also happens to love makeup, it's a way for me to express myself where words can't (I'm really introvert and have social anxiety heh), I love playing around with colors, I sit around at home playing with different looks and it's a way for me to make my inside match my outside, and of course I enjoy looking cute or badass ☺️ But I really think it's often a combination of reasons, and not always so cut-clean. Saying that you wear makeup to please others is considered to be a bad thing, a sign of weakness and an inability to stand up for what you want, so I don't think that's something most people want to say when asked that question. They would much rather say "Oh, but I love doing my makeup! It makes me feel good about myself, I'm doing it for me!" because then it seems like it's a hobby of theirs, and not to please others. That's a theory anyways.
Someone said something that sounded empowering so now everyone says “it’s for myself”. I do my makeup when I’m bored or for my boyfriend if we’re going out, and for many reason not just me. Honestly, I think BuzzFeed only said that it's a commonly asked question. I'm not saying women's rights aren't important, I'm saying that they're more interested in pushing a narrative. My impression from most 1st world Feminists is that they feel oppressed even though there countries that doesn't allow women to vote. Simply put, they invent scenarios in order to play the victim card.

Also you can be oppressed in different ways than just in laws. I live on a first World country (though I hate that term) and we're still looking for the right to decide what happens to our bodies. It's INSANE. We need to stand together to address the issues that face all women, not just white middle class cis women, but women of colour, disabled women, women from poorer backgrounds, women across the world, trans women, LGBTQ+ women. The fight isnt over. Anywhere.

The real answer to why women's clothes are usually tight is because women come in a lot of different shapes and clothing companies make one shape in different sizes. So, they make clothes out of stretchy material so the clothes can fit a wider variety of shapes. :)

Because we are human beings too. Yes, we are not naturally as physically strong as men, but we are stronger in other ways, mostly emotionally. Ex. Women naturally are more caring and nurturing to everything than men are. I'm not saying that men are not caring or nurturing but women are more naturally. That's how we're made. (We also deal with periods, carrying a smaller human being inside of us for 9 months as well as child birth. Like hello! Well for those who have kids.) Women in history were put down and were told to pretty much stay quiet, talk only when you're talked to, cook, clean, and do everything to make the mens life easier. Yes you should make sure your husband is comfortable but you shouldn't always do it at your own expense. He should also make sure you are comfortable too. Relationships are a two way street. You have to work together. Ok guys, imagine if you were in the women's spot. She goes out and earns a living and you have to do everything I listed above. That doesn't sound like fun does it? And I bet it wasn't for those women in history. Yes we dont know what it's like for you which is why women should also have respect for men. But this is why women's rights are so important is because we are human beings and we have feelings and opinions also. We shouldn't just stay silent and let other people speak for us without asking our opinion.
