Well done.. AND yes, great tip. It happens.... I would like to add that I also had a cam sensor going bad that would register as misfires. Changed sensor, all is well.
2008 Dodge Charger SRT8 6.1L Hemi - 49k miles Error code P0300 - Last year and replacing the spark plugs fixed the code. Yesterday i encountered the same code P0300. Couldnt be the spark plugs cause they only have about 5k miles on them. I used Lucas Fuel booster and after a day of driving it fixed the code issue.
Our 2017 Ram 1500 was running fine until last Sunday. We were on the highway doing about 70mph for around an hour all was well. Once we pulled off the highway and stopped to make a right turn at the light. The truck was shaking so badly and missing, we thought it was going to stall. We drove for about another mile to where I could get out and check under the hood. Oil pressure was normal, water temp was normal. No hot smells around the engine, oil levels were normal. Went to restart the engine and it sounded like we didn't have any oil on the right side of the engine. We had to drive for another 40 minutes on the highway to get home. It never got worse but it sounded bad. The missing and knocking sounds sometimes go away and it sounds normal. I am thinking it might be a bad cam and lifters, but it shouldn't go away and come back. Crazy it was running great until we came to a stop.
Another thing to look at in regards to the coil packs is the electrical connectors. My first misfire issue with my hemi was caused by a buildup of dirt inside the connector itself. Once cleaned, it was all good again.
Thanks for the video, I just had to do this process with my 06 300C on cylinder 2. Mine ended up being a short in the wiring to that injector, I ran a new wire from the pcm and good to go!
a guy had done the same thing of diagnosis a misfire on a HEMI, he changed the spark plugs everyone was working so he switch up the spark plug that was supposedly misfiring and that spark plug was working so he looked at the coils check those and they were okay, so he checked underneath the covers to see if it was a roller brushing up against the rockers which would make a negative charge those looked good, So he went back to his diagnosis tester looked at all the sparks through each cylinders and those were okay, so he ended up just getting a new PCM with a 50 dollar install for the HEMI with it's VIN connected, then checked the rest of the codes that came up after the install and everything worked like a charm! Pretty cool stuff.
Love the videos! Have a few saved as a tutorial when I replace the cam and lifters on my 2013 srt8 superbee. Thanks for being so in depth with everything. Keep up the great work!

Changed plugs, swapped coils, tested fuel injectors (resistance and pulse width live data), swapped fuel injectors, passed compression test - after every check still getting sporadic p0308 code. My next check will be input wiring harness to coil. Cylinder 8 is not an MDS activated cylinder. I’m not sure if VVT or a faulty cam phaser could cause this issue. I appreciate your video, I thought I might be missing something. Turns out I’m just stumped.

I’m working on my Magnum. Thanks to your videos I’ve had the confidence to do 65% of the rebuild myself. The rest was done by a engine shop. Now my issue is Cylinder 6 connector isn’t giving the meter any reading. I’m getting a code for a misfire. I purchased a new engine wiring harness but it came from a Chrysler. I learned the coil packs are different from dodge and Chrysler. Any suggestions on what I should do? Try Chrysler coil packs or find someone to rewire the harness? Thanks for all you do for the home mechanic like myself.
Thank you mr reigniter; I have a customers 5.7l and am working on the cause of a misfire. You have covered all of the basics very well. I will check a few more things but, it misfires on acceleration on cyl #3. It did not move with the coils and the plugs look good....
Bro, love the content...still waiting for the 1500 cam/lifter replacement tutorial lol. I think it would be your most popular video to date. It'll be all over the forums if you get specific in a walkthrough type video or even better - video series...God bless. Truly appreciate the effort you are putting in.
He's got 2 or 3 videos of cam/lifter R&R on this page. And Hemis are all basically the same process. So a cam/lifter R&R in a 5.7 Challenger will be about the same as in a 5.7 truck
Great video and you got me man. I misaligned the intake pushrod on cyl 8 while replacing the head a few years ago & the valve would not seat. I would try to start, backfire and stall …I believe it coded with high manifold pressure but I figured it out. Any tricks on replacing the dreaded rusty exhaust bolts? Thanks🇺🇸
I just remembered a problem I had outta a project car a while back. 07 chrysler 300c. I eventually gave up an sold it. What would cause idle surge on start up once the motor is warmed up. An you've tested for vacuum leaks an found none. Replaced throttle body. Could it have possibly been the ambient air temp sensor or some other sensor. That maybe an issue others have had.
Could’ve been numerous things. Even a failing Crank or Cam position sensor, would’ve caused those symptoms. The symptoms are almost never the same, some are bad, some are very bad lol. Sucks that you sold it, but you never know, maybe the car would’ve ended up with thousands of dollars of work needing to be done like mine lol. I’ve got the 07 300c as well, and I just became a master mechanic working on my shit hahaha. Rebuilt the engine and replaced a few things on the inside of the trans. They are good cars when they run lol.
You could’ve even had a failing fuel pump that starts to sputter as it gets hot. It’s rare that it’ll do that instead of failing, but everything’s been seen lol.
Yea I wish I wouldn't have sold it either but I've got 2 05s a dodge magnum an a 300c. I had just kinda gave up hope on the other one after I crossed that invisible line as far as money suck into it. Thanks for the info though. Any information I can add to the data bank is good with me. 🤘
@@BWADaniel I just had a chance to get that car back my buddy who bought it didn't attempt to do anything with so I figured I'd make him an offer. I've got a new crank sensor an a cam sensor for it. Not installed yet. I just keep thinking about one thing. Could failing lifters cause that issue. Imma get the car back regardless. I was just curious on someone elses input. Thanks in advance.
@@BWADaniel okay not a mechanic and also a female first of all lol but my car 07 300c 5.7 just started this, plugs r good. Had a misfire on cyl 7 but switched the pack with another and no misfire code any more so I was like okay but now its running the same and pulling P1417 is cant find anything much on it that is current...2 different mechanic friends said to try the cam shaft sensor...will that work?
Got a hemi low km 158k replaced cam and lifter (comp cam lifters) p0300 tap sound until throttle given. Been like this for a couple years engine light comes and goes, sometimes gone for days. Also noise metallic noise sometimes goes away and runs completely smooth, but soon comes back the next run. Also sometimes hesitates to start no fuel issues.
AHHHH Man i was hoping you had a video on the P0300 code. My Truck will not stay on. It stalls and is ruff. i Changed the spark plugs already. Nothing! guess i'll check the injectors since you said its usually fuel related. Thanks for the video
@@erikruiz5004found out it was the computer went bad. Went to the dealership and the said they don’t make that computer no more. He said good luck. Which means I’m f’d. And now left with a pile of junk. Unless I can find aftermarket computers someone programs specifically for my truck.🤬🤬🤬🤬just got 4 new tires and a back window. I’m pretty pissed.
Thanks for your video! I don't have any check engine codes but noticed that my 2010 5.7 hemi was idling rough, sensation of my butt bouncing up and down in my drivers seat at idle. The scope shows occasional misfire on #1 cylinder. swapped coils cleared the codes and took it for a 15 minute drive and the scope registered no misfire. The misfire returned straight away. When idling at 700 rpm as soon as i increase the idle rpm by 200 it smooths out. This is not a dead misfire but the 4 or so events in 20 seconds is annoying as you can imagine. The car was doing it before the new spark plugs but it seems more noticeable now.
Did you ever get this fixed? I’m having exact same problem. Shaking at idle but it runs fine when accelerating. I replaced spark plugs, coils, injector and it still is misfiring.
I just had a p0306 code pop up on my 2017 challenger 6.4 hemi for the first time. I'll go through all of this and hopefully it's an easy fix. Great videos btw . Hopefully it's not the coil cause they're not cheap. Granatelli
Great timing for this video! Thank you. I started getting a misfire on cylinder 2 (2008 Jeep Liberty 3.7 V6 engine) on cold starts. The vehicle has 306,000 original miles. Changed the spark plugs (a little over 60,000 miles on them) and ignition coils (original) since it was time. I haven't gotten the code back, but the vehicle now has some intermittent (usually when restarting the engine after being off for over 10 minutes) rough idle. I haven't checked the injectors. That's next.
Hi there, one thing that you didn't touch on (if you did, I missed it) is will a clogged fuel injector be a possible cause for a P030# code? I have good resistance on all injectors including the #5 which is where my misfire is.
It's possible but very unlikely unless the vehicle has sat for a very long time, or if you have reason to suspect you got contaminated fuel, but that usually shows up in more than one cylinder. It's a fairly easy test to swap the injector to a different cylinder and see if the misfire follows it. 👍
Great video! Have a 2011 grand Cherokee. 5.7 Hemi getting a P0300 and a P0305. Put in all new spark plugs and coil packs. Seemed to be better then came back. No crazy tick tick sound coming from the engine. Definitely has a misfire though cause it’s rough at idle gets better the more you put your foot in it check engine light comes and goes. Do you think this would be the Fuel issue you’re talking about in the video?
P0301 and p1411 just came up on my 5.7 159,000 miles. I believe it’s the MDS solenoid. I hear no valve/lifter chatter just injectors clicking away. I haven’t put my stethoscope on it yet though. I’m debating doing a new cam now before I have lifter issues later and having heads redone with new springs and MDS delete.
How many miles on an engine should you consider replacing it when a lifter fails? Currently in the early stages of loftier failure with 103k miles, also has timing chain rattle. Not sure if it's worth fixing or replacing
You need to order a new Camshaft more then likely as well. I’d go ahead and replace the whole timing kit. Sprockets, chain & tensioner. Not that expensive. I got all my stuff from PartsGeek and you can choose between aftermarket and OEM. I went with OEM. But I’d repair this as soon as possible. New Lifter, Camshaft, timing kit, oil pump, & you’ll be in the game. I always suggest an oil pump replace after parts have started to fail. You don’t want metal debris inside your bearings. But it’d be a good time to check all that.
My new Camshaft was $400 made by MELLING. Lifters I paid $200 each for, DNJ rock brand. They had an extra oiling hole so I preferred these over OEM. I only replaced the rear set of lifters, Left & Right. I paid $100 for my OEM timing chain kit with tensioner, but I got it on sale. It’s a bit more expensive, but there’s other good brands besides OEM. My oil pump is MELLING. $125. Head gaskets we’re $30 a piece. Head bolts were $30 a box, you need two boxes. Timing Cover gaskets & front timing seal. Good time to replace all that stuff.
But do this repair ASAP. My lifter failed, exploded into pieces and jammed my crankshaft up. I had to completely disassemble my engine, and yank my crank out the block with 400 pound of force. It took out a chunk of my lifter bore but nothing that will cause it to prematurely fail, atleast, not that I think. I had to cut my torque converter off since my engine was seized, $1000 right there. So my point is, do his repair ASAP before your out of more money and parts.
@@BWADaniel this is great info. Thank you for providing it. How long did it take you to do your repair? How long would it have taken if your engine hadn't seized up?
So what do we do when all of that is okay?. We've swapped the engine tried a different computer, checked exhaust flow. We've done just about everything you can think of. If you have any tips that would be great. This vehicle previously had a lifter failure
You've swapped the engine and the PCM and you're still having a misfire on the same cylinder? If so, at that point you've already narrowed it down to the wiring harness. Either the injector wiring or the coil wiring is compromised.
That's the weird thing we've checked that before spending all the money we did. How would you test it just so I can make myself feel better I'd try anything. It's a multiple cylinder misfire but number 6 is the pissed off one. Seems nonsensical. And on this engine only seems to do it on cold start and you try to immediately drive it. And there's a code for wrong viscosity of oil but it's correct and just a break in oil. Bunch of weird things. Sorry but I'm desperate. Any help is appreciated
If your cam lobe really is rounded, you could just pull the valve cover and fuel pump fuse. Have a buddy crank it over, and see that the rocker is either not moving, or has noticeably less travel
G'day Kayah from down under I own a 6.4 with 110k km it started misfiring along with pressure being released from the oil fill cap spark plugs replaced all cylinder firing no tapping noise still running rough is it because we are hanging upside down or got a faulty build maybe problems as explained having a medical check next as jeep Doc's are very rare as a roo with sunnies here will check back in then Stay Safe..
You could, but really the difference in the results generally ends up being fairly minor. And truthfully the actual number isn't that critical, it's more checking whether it's consistent with the other cylinders. Or if it's below 100psi overall. Also, if you do this you'd better make sure the engine doesn't somehow fire up, it'll go full throttle 😄
Awesome. The p300 process would be great. Also, if the cam lobe is wiped, would it cause a loose push rod or rocker? And be visible when removing the valve covers?
wish you do a video on a PCM how to stop the oil from the oil send unit to get up there on a 2013 Dodge Charger cos mechanic said they found oil on my PCM is coming from my oil sending unit somehow thanks
So this is so ironic ... I just watched this video yesterday ... going to work I got into alittle bit and guess what ... my check engine light started blinking and started running like crap ... p0300 .. dang it lol .. if I pull the plugs do I switch both to one cylinder?? Thanks for the input
I like all of the video’s i like the content and I can understand what you are saying and doing you inspired me to tackle my own cam and intake swap. I was wondering if you could clarify some of the tools you are using. I have already bought the wrong harmonic balancer puller even though it said it worked with my car now I have bought two valve spring removal tools and I’m waiting on my third. I have changed springs before but never had issues finding the right tools.can you tell or recommend the valve spring tool that works best on the eagle heads.
Sorry to ask another question... Have you covered the exhaust manifold on the pre eagle 5.7 and doing a 6.1 install? Is it worth it? I can get a set of srt 6.1 for cheap.
As a Ram 5.7 owner i am. Of course following the Chanel. I have had two cases of P301, both times at high way speed around 75 mph when i punched the gas to pass...engine had a heart attack...pulled over, turn off ignition, restart no problems or engine light , weird , right ? Any ideas ? Thanks, and keep up the channel !
Have not had any other P301 codes ....I have not punched the gas, so it must be related to that , did oil analysis just to see if the cam was being eaten , oil came back good. Left alone for now.Good luck on your hope it not anything major.
Okay what if it's p0158 which they also mention that it could be a problem with the O2 sensors or a injector going bad so which one of the cylinders does it mean it's going on plus I also had the po300 come up as well so which cylinder is this injector causing issues
I have a 2010 ram 2500 5.7 hemi has a misfire cylinder 1. O psi compression, 135-150 psi in all others. Leak down test it's going past the rings 100%. Looking for advice on budget build for it. I believe there is damage on the cylinder wall. Not sure if I should rebuild it or buy a new for $8300 long block or reman $6000. Any advice would be great thankyou. Engine is about to come out of truck.
what about if I have a misfire and not throwing any codes (intermittent under normal acceleration) plus I have a tick but don't know where it's coming from (seems to me it's coming from transmission) 2011 ram 1500 5.7
Guys, here’s a Misfire issue that NOBODY covers. I was putting dielectric grease in my coil pack boots like a dumb ass lol. I do it for my 4 wheeler and my dumb self thought it’d be a good idea for cars too. NO. The grease gummed up inside of my Coil Pack Boots / Spark Plug Boot & wasn’t allowing for a smooth flow of electricity to my spark plugs, causing me to misfire. So guys, if you’ve got ANY misfires, check your Coil Pack Boots, if those are okay. Swap the coil pack from your misfiring cylinder, to a non misfiring cylinder. If the non misfiring cylinder starts to misfire, you’ve got a bad coil pack. If it doesn’t, check your spark plugs.
SHIT! I just did my plugs and used dielectric grease on all of them! Wish I had read your comment before. That’s what I get for watching other people’s videos.
@@thomydavidHahaha. Its an easy mistake to make! Dielectric grease is typically used for Vehicles that are prone to get soaked in water such as boats, ATVs and Dirtbikes. On cars, it creates an issue if you put it on your spark plugs or where the coil pack meets the spark plug. It can also create a hell of a time for you to get them back off in the future since the dielectric grease dries up and makes your parts stick together. Ever since i found this out, ive never used it again. Havent had any misfire issues, and if I need to yank my coil packs out, they come out without a single issue. My next thing to wonder is if you can put a small glaze of anti seize on the outside of the coilpack boot, where it sits into its bore. Seems like a logical idea but I havent had an issue removing my coil packs since I got all the Dielectric grease out of there. But yup! it all just dries up and creates gunk into the coil pack boot. There was alot of green gum in there afterwards. I had to buy new boots.
@@BWADaniel thanks for the reply. Right after reading your comment I went and yanked all of my coils/boots out and cleaned them with q-tips and then cleaned all 16 brand new $180 worth of spark plugs. I wanted to eliminate that possibility as potential problem for diagnostic purposes. Turns out I’ve got lifter failure and worn lobe on my camshaft which sucks. But, I did leave some of the dielectric grease on the same spot you just mentioned just to keep any moisture getting in. Thanks for the tip. I really appreciated it.
I don't mean to highjack the thread, can you please tell me if there's a difference between pre-eagle and eagle blocks, crank and oil pan? I'm looking to build an engine myself and there's a 5.7 for sale in my area for cheap.
Yes, there is a difference in the block and crank of the pre and post eagle engines, the oil pans will interchange, but you don't want to try mixing blocks.
I’m getting cylinder 6 misfires while idle in park. And when they happen you can hear the idle is not running right. And it doesn’t happen while driving. I’m not getting and codes or check engine lights. But when I noticed the way the engine idles in park I started monitoring misfires with my scan tool. And after my engine warms up , I can get up to 25 misfires in cylinder 6 that stop when I start driving. And again, it’s not enough to throw a code. But I see them while live monitoring and also on mode 6 data. I’ve already ruled out coils and spark plugs. I have not did a compression test yet. But doesn’t this sound like early mds lifter failure? I am currently also keeping mds turned off with my tuner . Is that hurting, helping or probably a non factor in terms of protecting my engine and helping it run better?
i have a 2019 Ram 1500, my check engine light came on and stayed solid. went to autozone and used there diagnostic tool and there computer gave a po306 code and said either coil or spark plug. would that be a reliable test?
Don’t have a misfire issue but I do have a question that maybe you can answer. I have a FBO cam and converter 5.7 hemi with the nag1 in my 300. I was on a Diablo tune and changed to HP, Diablo tune was fine I just couldn’t tune the TCM. I got the tune finalized from my tuner on HP and all of a sudden I have an issue with revving the car anything above like 3k. If I rev to 4-6k in park or neutral my decel comes down extremely slow and then hangs at 3k before dropping down rapidly. I’m almost certain it’s a tuning issue as this was never a problem on the Diablo tune and that’s the only thing that changed. Thoughts? Anything helps
Hi I know you are very good technician.my cuestión is I replace two time the engine in my 06 dodge charger hemi 5.7 and still had problems misfiring like saying two time and I can’t fix
Hi I'm watching your channel for awhile and now I actually need your knowledge for my 2014 Ram. I have a misfire on cylinder 3 (what isn't a MDS ). I switched plugs and coil and cleared the code with my autel scanner. Test drive still says misfire cylinder 3. I checked the injectors (live data with my scanner and they are all in the same range. The misfire I only get, when I push the truck hard. Do you think I'm on the point to replace the camshaft and lifters? I also will replace the oil pump for a hellcat what supposed to fit without modifications. Btw I have only a 105k on my truck. What you think ❓ Thank you
I have a 2008 durango with cylinder #8 miss fire, I have changed all 16 spark plugs, coil pack n still have misfire engine sluggish. What can it be?? I love my awd durango n would live it fixed.

I have a question if you or any others may help. I have a 05 300c 5.7 I did a coil pack upgrade went from coil an wire to the just coil packs and about 1yr an half later when I go half to full throttle it starts to brake up could that be the plugs they are about 2 years old an are the e3 plug can anyone help much appreciated
Where are you located? Would love to bring you my 5.7 truck. I have a misfire in cylinder 2 only at idle. Cannot figure this one out. Don’t know where to take it because as soon as u mention misfire and hemi shops just want to throw a cam and lifters at them.
I hava a 04 tundra 4.7 v8 misfire on cylinder 8 only at idle, put new sparkplugs, new coil, new fuel injector, new pcv valve, new valve cover gasket camshaft looks fine. Checked compression and the rest are about 150psi and cylinder 8 is 100 psi what do you guys think it could be? It runs fine over 1k rpm. It also started giving 11mpg since this happend

Your presentation on every video is very clear and concise not to mention helpful! Thanks for sharing your HEMI knowledge!!
Another thing to look at in regards to the coil packs is the electrical connectors. My first misfire issue with my hemi was caused by a buildup of dirt inside the connector itself. Once cleaned, it was all good again.

excellent explanation, thanks for sharing your knowledge! don't stop doing this!!!
If the Hemi engine vibrates at idle, could it be a misfire?
Mine is doing this did you find out what causes it? I have no codes new plugs checked all coils and injectors

Thanks🇺🇸

Very clear and helpful! Thanks man.
When you do a compression test in that cylinder. You have to do it in both spark plug Holes? Or can I put 2 testers one for each spark plug? Thanks
You just have to remove one spark plug to install the tool, leave the other plug as is. 👍
I got a 6.1 charger 2008 , check engine light comes on while putting gas what might be the problem ? I changed the fuel pump & the gas cap.
Thanks for the video
what was the problem. ? you get it fixed ?
@@subarubrett Yes, the wanker mechanic never tightened #1 cylinder spark plus down, they were not electrically grounding some of the time.
What about a driver on the PCM?
What A Great Video!!! Definitely will help me diagnose my mis for in cyl 1 .. Keep Up The Great Work
I just had a p0306 code pop up on my 2017 challenger 6.4 hemi for the first time.
What was it ?
Head gasket.
Vacuum leaks
Hi there, one thing that you didn't touch on (if you did, I missed it) is will a clogged fuel injector be a possible cause for a P030# code? I have good resistance on all injectors including the #5 which is where my misfire is.
It's possible but very unlikely unless the vehicle has sat for a very long time, or if you have reason to suspect you got contaminated fuel, but that usually shows up in more than one cylinder. It's a fairly easy test to swap the injector to a different cylinder and see if the misfire follows it. 👍
Great video very clear instructions on how to diagnose a problem like that.
Did you ever get it figured out what it was?
P0301 and p1411 just came up on my 5.7 159,000 miles. I believe it’s the MDS solenoid. I hear no valve/lifter chatter just injectors clicking away. I haven’t put my stethoscope on it yet though. I’m debating doing a new cam now before I have lifter issues later and having heads redone with new springs and MDS delete.
Thanks ! Excellent topic /tutorial ! Great teaching technique !
Your the best. Just what the doctor ordered.
could a warped exhaust manifold cause a misfire too?
I'm not going to say no, but it would be extraordinarily rare.
But you’ll have to place your head gaskets, and all that while you’re in there. New head bolts since they are TTY.
@@doxter360did you figure it out?
Nope, i wish@@Usern4m316
Keep up the great content 👍
Definitely going to check the injector ohms now especially after crossing about everything else off
Great info. I have a Hemi with a small evap leak code. A diagnostic video on that would be great.
If your cam lobe really is rounded, you could just pull the valve cover and fuel pump fuse. Have a buddy crank it over, and see that the rocker is either not moving, or has noticeably less travel
This is true, but unless the lobe is very badly damaged it can be tough to tell if one is not moving as much as the others. 👍
Good video. I learned a lot.
Is it a constant misfire, or does it happen more at idle, or more so under load?
Keep up the great content 🤘🤘🤘.
Any videos featuring those wheels on that car behind you? I think I have the same set of liquid metal 5 spoke wheels that came on my Challenger.
In regards to the Throttle Body being wide open, Couldn't you simply remove the Throttle Body before doing compression testing?
You could, but really the difference in the results generally ends up being fairly minor. And truthfully the actual number isn't that critical, it's more checking whether it's consistent with the other cylinders. Or if it's below 100psi overall. Also, if you do this you'd better make sure the engine doesn't somehow fire up, it'll go full throttle 😄
Is P0303 a common misfire on the hemi engine, in particular on a 2013 Dodge Durango?
I have that right now. You ever figure it out
Absolutely great video, is there a program similar to fords forscan that you recommend for dodge? Thank you so much for your time 👍😁
Awesome. The p300 process would be great. Also, if the cam lobe is wiped, would it cause a loose push rod or rocker? And be visible when removing the valve covers?
It's not usually visibly loose, however you will be able to see that the rocker arm does not push down as far as all the rest of them do.
GREAT video ,thanks
Your video was great! How can you be contacted? I have some questions?
Really great video. thank you.
wish you do a video on a PCM how to stop the oil from the oil send unit to get up there on a 2013 Dodge Charger cos mechanic said they found oil on my PCM is coming from my oil sending unit somehow thanks
Great thorough video!
So this is so ironic ... I just watched this video yesterday ... going to work I got into alittle bit and guess what ... my check engine light started blinking and started running like crap ... p0300 .. dang it lol .. if I pull the plugs do I switch both to one cylinder?? Thanks for the input
That's correct, switch both plugs at the same time to another cylinder.

Any ideas ? Thanks, and keep up the channel !
Did you ever figure this out? Same issue but on #3
Have not had any other P301 codes ....I have not punched the gas, so it must be related to that , did oil analysis just to see if the cam was being eaten , oil came back good. Left alone for now.Good luck on your hope it not anything major.

So dielectric grase is not needed for the coil pack boots?

Looking to do cam kit stage 2 or stage 3 on my 5.7 if I do the kit will it have and issue with future boost mods and or swapping to 09+ eagle heads.
