having watched half a dozen VE table tuning videos, may I make a suggestion please, could you add to your title, "How to tune your VE table using Wideband O2 senor" that would really help, otherwise we don't find out until 3:30 into the video and there are some guys looking for how to tune in Closed Loop using the factory Narrow Band sensors, not trying to be rude, I just realized that would help folks out
thank you for the excellent video, in terms of disabling the DTCs for the MAF, I believe unchecking the SES check box will not illuminate the Service Engine Soon light, which is different from the MIL ie the Check Engine Light, and others have instructed to change the MIL to On First Error to properly fail the MAF, can you comment on that please?
By non-computer controlled vehicle I'm guessing you are referring to a manually shifted auto transmission? It's so hard to trouble shoot based upon internet comments or even over the phone so typically I don't like to try to attempt it. I did help a guy with a manually shifted 4l80e that was having some idle/driveability issues. Combo was a 421 cubic inch lsx with a whipple. I had him add 2 grams/second to his p/n base idle air flow numbers and make this his in gear numbers. It worked perfectly and solved his idle/driveability issues with that combo. You need to log your desired idle airflow from a cold start to get the desired idle air flow numbers in p/n to begin with.
I have a ls1 that ran fairly good with just cam and injectors just tuned for injectors while running a t56 but went to full manual 4l80 and now runs rich should I automatically assume the VE tables are to blame or should something else be adjusted first
Any idea on what to check for after car is warmed up and it will stall at stops and then when I crank it back up it revs to like 2500-3000 for 3-4 seconds then calms down to normal idle. 2000 5.3 Howard cam 598/691 headers Cold air Intake Turbo 400 trans. I’m running MAF cause it’s a street 84 c10 Runs good cruising and plenty of power etc just after warmed up stalls when I have to normally or quickly slow down and release throttle
Sounds like you have to much air flow at startup. Could be your base idle airflow is off, friction airflow, or start airflow tables or a combination of them. Assuming no mechanical issues such as vacuum leaks that is where I'd look as far as tune related issues. As far as stalling with quick releases of the throttle look in your throttle cracker settings for the fix there, but base idle airflow is the first thing you should dial in as perfectly as possible. I've found the vast majority of idle issues are solved with good base idle airflow settings. Good luck!
LSxTuner I’ll get that a try When I try and do a SD tune as described here I am encountering no power stalling backfiring but it does make my Wideband run richer it’s usually 16-18 but under SD it’s 12-14ish but it’s Un-drivable

did you find one without a wideband? I'm looking for one.

Exactly what I needed thank you!
Good job not speed talking and getting off subject like other videos I seen.
Thanks bro, this vid was very very helpful!!!
Great work and thanks for sharing - exactly what I was looking for!

What I do is uncheck the SES enable box and set error mode to MIL on first error.
so touching for an excellent video
After smooth ve table do flash ecu and drive again then ve tune again.
Thank brother easy explanation
Thank u so much for content and keep it coming I'll make sure to subscribe. Much appreciated!!!
Also just wanna say u made more sense then most dudes on here. I felt like I was reading a forum post lol
I'm trying to figure out a LL8 4200. My VE table doesmt have numbers like 80 or 90. It reads from 800 to 2300 goes up and down randomly.
Thanks for the great video
On they “idle air flow” if your running a none computer controlled vehicle I’m assuming “p/n” should match “gear”

Don’t ever assume anything. Log and collect data to know for sure what is going on.
do you not have to copy high spark to low spark since the MAF is failed?
No
My cam and bolt on LS1 has the STFT and LTFT all shut off. To me it seems like a bad idea. What are your thoughts?
What cam is in it?

How do you make that afr err table? I’ve not had luck making new graphs what sensor input etc
I have another video that covers this. Hopefully that will answer your questions, but I’ll be doing more videos in the future.
How to tune my fuel of my ls1 . 34 degrees of timing
