- Week 6 of this years @MargareteMiller challenge and this weeks page is themed around a recent visit to the Tim Burton and Barbie exhibitions at the London Design museum. Don't forget to let me know either your favourite Tim Burton movie or Barbie in the comments below. I am starting to really enjoy working in this journal and the mix of collage and memory keeping which adds a scrapbook vibe to the pages. I know it will be a lot of fun to look back by the end of the year.

I do love Edward scissorhands. But adore so many of Tim Burtons films. Those exhibitions sound so fun! I love the placement of all your bits. You commingled both themes so beautifully 💖🖤💖
I think adding the hand stitching to a Tim Burton- inspired item is totally awesome!
Love your page ❤ 🙌 Yes, I love Barbie.
I love your collage! I especially love the pink and black color scheme and the stitching!❤️ I had the very first Barbie with a blonde ponytail and black and white bathing suit. I also had a Barbie wardrobe case, which came out in the 1960’s. I had the smaller flatter case first and the fatter double case later on. I played with Barbies until I was 14!! Then, I got caught by some classmates (I was outside) and told them they were my sister’s. I never played with them again. 😢 I wish I had saved it. As for Tim Burton movies, I really like Nightmare Before Christmas and Big Fish…also Edward Scissorhands. Johnny Depp was brilliant!❤️❤️❤️
Brings back lots of memories, love how this page came out.
Your page is a fun memory mix. I was born too early for Barbie. I was one who had a lot of dolls, baby dolls and a collection of dolls from different countries dressed in their native land costumes. My daughter’s had Barbie. They loved the movie. Im not a fan of Barbie. Lol I do love Tim Burton. Edward Scissor hand.
Have you ever seen the movie, Jason and the Argonauts? I think you would like it.
I love Tim Burton! His movies are my favorite of all time. And I grew up with Barbie dolls and the Dream House.
Great memory keeper/ prompt page 😊
I wasn’t a Barbie or Cindy fan as a child, I fiercely identified with brunette dolls! 😂 I wasn’t into pink either, another headache for my parents really 😄 I love the way your Barbies were independent!
I like the old horror films and Adam’s Family and Munster series. The first Adam’s Family film I loved. Watching Tim Burtons Sleepy Hollow was a Halloween tradition for years. Brilliant exhibition to see definitely, thanks for sharing 😊
I'm a huge Burton fan. Love all his movies, know a lot of his history. He's the bomb. I also remember the red haired Barbie. I used to love Barbie, too! Had the townhouse, multiple Barbies and got the holiday Barbie every year. Now, as I grew up, I'm more the Burton than Barbie. Oh, and I've been into photography since I was 8 y/o (now 56). Favorite Burton: Edward Scissorhands. But, I love them all, so ....
Bel, I have to tell you that since I found your channel last June, I've become addicted. Your stories, singing, designs, are so inspiring. You've got me doing challenges that I didn't even know about and I've really gotten a kickstart to my crafting. THANK YOU! xoxo
Bel all I can say is you brought Burton and Barbie together perfectly in this collage! And what a wonderful memory. Oddly enough, I am not necessarily a Burton fan and I didn’t have any Barbie’s growing up. The Burton magnet and Barbie postcard are such a juxtaposition but totally work. I think Burton did know his expedition was going alongside Barbie’s and planned that painting accordingly because it is definitely Barbie, Burton style. I love hearing about all the interesting things you and your husband/family do together TFS
That is very cute
