i got an error security violation after i made change the boot order
disable secure boot in your bios
Yes there are UA-cam videos on how to do this easily.
Great video Brian. Shame Windows boots s fast you can barely see the logo these days 😂
I know!
Thanks Brian.
I'm using the default boot logo, but have changed the OEM info, as well as the boot logo with my own designs, but haven't done this since 2018 or so.
thanks for sharing. reminds me of all the customisation that i used to do to 7 and earlier, got harder and riskier with windows 10. i will probably do this one as i have just done a drive clone so if it goes wrong i can just switch drives.
bit more involved with Windows 7
I have see many videos about changing the boot logo and they have a lengthy and complicated process but this one is great. It is short and easy. Now, lets just say that I have created a restore point and something went horribly wrong during this process of changing the boot logo and my PC won't boot, then how do I get back to the restore point I created?
😂
Thank you Brian, this is good to know. I have always wondered about this because I built myself 2 custom theme PC's and I thought about having something on boot to match.
One is Alien themed and the other one is a Umbrella Corp or resident evil theme. Both are AMD systems with MSI motherboards, a b450 & a b550 with Ryzen 5 5400G class processors. No need for separate gpu because I don't game, it was an additional expense and I just couldn't afford it.
They both run well and I am happy, maybe down the road I will build another with a graphics card and more up to date board with better processor. I just have to figure out the theme and case.
Excellent video, it seems that disabling safe boot in bios is required. Can I upload a boot image that size of my display.
Nice little Change there. Good video.
Not going such lengths for something u see only for a split second if at all....
So is this creating an interim partition and loading this before the win partition startup? Rather than altering a graphic within windows?
Hello, this is not about the Boot logo, but how my ASUS laptop battery is suddenly losing power after MS updates. It really is astounding. Last week fine, this week I have to plug in twice, three times as much. Followed all the suggestions before: dark mode, apps, so grateful thanks if you could provide a solution.
Thanks, this will be very useful!
Glad you think so!
Until it doesn't.
If you hack the bitmap everything will seem fine until six months down the road when you decide to install the latest service pack. The service pack installer will not upgrade your ntoskrnl because it looks at the file and says “Hm, this isn’t the standard uniprocessor ntoskrnl, it’s not the standard multiprocessor ntoskrnl, it’s not the standard advanced server ntoskrnl, I can’t tell what this is, so I don’t know which version of ntoskrnl to update it to. I’ll just leave it alone.”
If you are lucky you will bluescreen at boot because the old ntoskrnl is incompatible with some other critical part of the service pack.
If you are unlucky, your machine will appear to run normally when in fact it is quietly corrupting itself, and then it will keel over or generate bogus data when you least expect it.
@@Mario583a ok
am runing an uspuported pc but i have uefi bios my pc is a newer unsuported pc with uefi bios
It would be interesting to see this somehow implemented as a change in NTLite
Is there a way to do it on windows to go computer
finally i can see goku instead of the boring msi logo
Hey Brian. This looks awesome but I have (maybe?) simpler question. I have a Beelink Mini PC and it's connected to a 4K set. It used to boot up acknowledging that 'monitor' by presenting the Beelink Boot logo small in the center of the screen. (Very handsome looking.) One day it instead started stretching the logo out and I fear it was because it was trying to be a 1080p screen? Is there a way to fix that?
You may have some sort of upscaling on your monitor
if you do this, you need to make sure you have secure boot disabled
I heard that Windows encryption slows down ssd can you make a video of how to turn off?
cool, but changing the animated balls going in a circle to something else would be cooler
It would be great to have something like a slumbering Bill Gates trying to wake up in the morning as a boot image - instead of the usual HP logo (on my device).
But I think I'll follow your clear warnings about the possible risks of changing the logo and stick with what I have.
Save if you know how to recover if something goes wrong
I prefer verbose mode with no logo good for diagnosis or just for fun
Hi, Brian. Great video! I have one problem. I can see you have secure boot state set to off, but mine is set to custom when I'm in UEFI BOIS utility. When I'm in system information it says it's on. Does it has to be turned off? Or can it be set to custom?
THANKS Brian!
You're welcome!
What can you say about Windows 12, and is it worth switching from 10 to 12?
If it even comes out.
Now, how do I change "system manufacturer" and "system model" defined by msinfo.exe? Video?
Winaerotweaker does it.
@@trusttech9942 negative. Does not work on win 11 home edition 100%, winaero seems to only work on regedit stuff and is not making a new msinfo.exe file
*msinfo32.exe
Windows 11 won't let me save the file
thx but i dont have this
No !
much better change to non-m$ OS instead....
Nice.
very interesting😁
Glad you think so!
Change the Wi dows boot logo to the Linux OS.
