After paying for photo editing classes, buying an annual subscription plan to adobe, removing secure boot from my pc, enabling partition protocol, changing from win11 to win10, i now have my 1 sec custom ninja logo on my pc, thank you cybercpu
Back in the windows 7 days (2014-15 to be exact), I used to use a custom windows boot logo. There were so many community made boot animations I could find on deviantart (I know, the site has a dark side). All I needed to do was download a boot logo changer program, pick the animation I downloaded, and bam, it worked, I could also change the text underneath it too. It was very easy to customize stuff on windows 7 (and was also very easy to break it). This was done on a pre UEFI motherboard. It feels like windows 7 had more UI customizability than windows 10.
heck back in win95-98 days you could customize the start button and images of your warning windows and such. my boot up and shut down screens were star trek. and all my sounds were too. it had the federation symbol on the start button instead of the windows logo. and said "LCARS" instead of start. really wish we coudl still do that stuff by default
@@Dragonmazda72 I really feel like Win98 was the most user customizable OS from a graphical standpoint, and after that MS began locking things down and restricting what could be changed. The XP theming system was the beginning of the end.
You have an amazing in-depth knowledge of Windows and like any in-depth knowledge it has been acquired through countless hours of doing and research. Sharing this with your audience through the time it takes to conceptualize, script, do the videography and edit it is amazing. That shows another skillset you have. Thanks man.
Customizing themes would be a great subject. Microsoft doesn't have many themes and tweaking their colors can be a frustrating experience. And as a lot of apps are based off them, a way to modify the system theme would be great (an example would be Explorer - it's pretty bland by default)
@@shadowopsairman1583 We still have that today. It's just a little more obscure. That's one of the reasons I want to do a series on customizing Windows 10 and 11.
