Why don't you read the verse again. He didn't condemn them for wearing phylacteries he condemned them for making them oversized and ostentatious. And read the verse before that one where YESHUA said do all that the priests tell you to do for they sit in the seat of Moses but not to do the deeds that they do ,which was making the phylacteries ( Tefillin and the tallit) large to make themselves look holier than everyone else. It's like if I had a cross necklace and you said oh yeah well I'm more of a Christian than you so I'm gonna wear a giant cross. There is nothing wrong with wearing a tallit or Tefillin they don't save you but as the Bible states they are to be a reminder of God's commands and reminder that we are sinful creatures who need Jesus for salvation.
I like how you distort the meaning by implying that Tefillin should not be worn and were condemned by Yeshua when you quote him as saying "They broaden their phylactories .." You may notice Yeshua wore Tzittzitt ,so why would you assume he did not wear tefillin seeing that he was indeed a devout Jew who followed the commands of YHWH . I think you just don't like anything Jewish .

Nope, Phylacteries is not the real name. It comes from the Greek "phulaktērion" which means AMULET! The real name is Tefillin and IT IS NOT AN AMULET! 😉
