Very informative, a beautiful pendant, and love that workshop. I'm just getting started with my metal working hobby and learned a lot. Thank you!
Thank you so very much
Great instructional video. I have been a lapidary worker for a little over a year, I have plenty of material and a work shop in a corner of my garage. Silversmithing is the next logical step for me. I do have a jump on soldering though which is a big help here. I was certified in soldering for electronics plus I also did brazing on rotors for electric motors, I have the concept for flowing metals and I love to watch it flow! Ha! Thanks for your advice here.
Thank you so much, this is such a brilliant video. You teach so well and make things exceptionally clear. As a beginner its wonderful to see that things are possible and not be overwhelmed. Please keep making your fabulous videos.

I learned things that I’ve been wanting to know for quite a while now. Yes, I love your video’s, best to learn from the masters like you. ❤️❤️👍🏼 Question; Are those metal shears, don’t laugh, I think it’s a good question. LOL 😆 You put so much work into making that pendant and a special tool for for every process. I bet you have a special place for everything. Tell whomever filmed this video that they did an excellent job. 😉
Youre a good teacher!! If you were in west Canada, i would do an internship

Very good video. I will be getting into this further down the road. For now I'm hunting for the gems to make the jewelry. Found a very nice peice of Amber I would like to make a peice out of. I will definitely be watching more videos.
Great job sir. And thanks
I wish I didn’t have Parkinson’s! It is terrible to shake all the time for fine motor movement. I use to make jump ring jewelry now I can’t hold a solder tool still. So thank you for allowing me to dream. U are so talented.

Awesome presentation, Mr. Hartman. Thank you very much. Question: the diamond bur you're using? Trying to find one...TY
Do you have any recommendations on a beginner's package? What tools, products, and stones to start with?
Excellent
just starting Silver smithing class.
question, why put sawdust under the pendant? why not cut the stone? I also do Lapidary.
also why not cut the silver to fit the bottom of a rounded stone.?
love the videos. and thank you
Thanks for the video. I cannot find the ball sorter you showed. Will you post a link?
John, Great video. Please tell us where you sourced the tool used to size the rain drops. Thank you.
I purchased the tool from www.riogrande.com
Tyvm
Im also from Colorado. Great info.
Excellent video. The mill grain tool is a great idea. I have not been able to find one in either Amazon or Ebay. Any ideas? Thanks.
Thank you for your informative video John, lots of great tips and tricks. Could you please let me know where you got your milk grain tool from as I would love to get one and am struggling to find one? Thank you so much in advance.
Hello there John and Dillon I was wondering if you could tell me a bit about red skin turquoise I saw on your website that it was a fake turquoise? But I was wondering if you knew anything about what it is before it is being marketed to as fake turquoise anything would help thank you so much
How do I learn this? Fascinating!!!!
Awesome
I was wondering if you filed the edging of the bail?
You can file the edge of the bale, or you can buff it with bobbing compound, just depends on your skill level. I suggest filing and then buffing if you are just beginning
The sheet fine Sterling silver hard or soft...or just plain metal... ? Love to watch you
thanks
Sawdust?
I purchased 925 silver bezel wire and not 999 like you said will this still work 😓
I also wish I would of seen this before buying 20 gauge sheet metal for my small pendants I have in mind .
what is that little round box you used for sorting silver shot? I know it's not a millgrain tool! I could use one of those.
I like your metal bench pin. Where can I find one?
Last question, I promise!
You initially made the bezel a TINY bit longer than needed. where in the process does that tiny bit conform to the actual size? Why was the bezel not too big for the stone?
Where do you source stones for pendents and rings.
I tried to find the tiny round balls and the mill grain tool on Rio and couldn’t find them. Do you have catalog numbers?
Nice bro
WARNING: You are about to embark on a 50 minute commercial ad for Rio Grande Wire Co. That's okay if you know that. And want that. Yes, they are the best
But you're not here to see him make something. You're here to see a very long commercial advertisement.
Enjoyed watching you work. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos!
About the micro motor… You said eBay … anything in particular I should look for?
Thanks!
How do you take it off the nail? Is working with jade easier?
I just came across this video. Where do you purchase the 18 gauge silver wire in such large quantity? Which suppliers have the best prices?
