Goldeneye Reloaded is fun, I still have the game in 2021. What’s bad about it, is the story. It’s similar to the movie and the classic N64 version, yes, but the Reloaded version, it has some weird twist. Such as, the Train mission happened before the Statue Park mission. Secondly, the movie, Bond goes to Cuba, to find the Janus Base. In the Reloaded version, Bond goes to Nigeria, to find the Janus Base.
My friends and I played to local multiplayer for hours and hours. It really surprises me how much time we were able to put into this. We played both the Wii and ps3 versions. I love seeing other reviews of this game showing it the love that I feel for it. For its sentimental value it is definitely one of my favorite games. All I have to do is turn on the main menu theme and the memories come flowing in. This game is great and deserves a lot of love. I also would certainly love to see a remaster or backwards compatibility. Thanks for the review.
I’m glad you got to enjoy it in its prime! I love hearing when other people have nostalgia over specific games. I wish I really got to dive in to the local multiplayer for the review, hopefully I can get a crew together soon.
I played this game on the wii since there were no other shooters on there. It was great as a kid but I'm sure the wii graphics wouldn't hold up for me today.
Yeah, the Wii version doesn’t look great today, but the 360/PS3 versions look surprisingly decent IMO. Which is weird because some reviews at the time said the graphics weren’t good even back then.
This is definitely in my top 5 most wanted backwards compatible games! It kinda fell under the radar, probably didn’t help releasing it so close to Modern Warfare 3.
The Wii release was my way of experiencing it, and my god did I love it. 2010-2011 was pretty decent time for Wii shooters with this, Black Ops, Conduit 2, and MW3. Despite all that, Goldeneye maintained a pretty solid playerbase so finding multiplayer matches was pretty quick. Sure, it felt like a stripped down CoD that didn't reinvent the wheel, but it worked for me. But you could still tell Eurocom really cared and wanted to make a worthwhile experience that the N64 title brought. They didn't need to modernize the story, bring in Daniel Craig, or get Nicole Scherzinger to put on a damn good performance, but they did. And I loved everything about it. And I think the pseudo-realistic artstyle was a good choice, as looking back it'll age better than games that try to be as realistic as possible. It's just a shame the game was never brought to PC as then, I feel it would have had a better shot at preservation, especially when going up against its bigger more popular contemporaries. Still, I will always look back fondly at the time I had with Goldeneye 007 on the Wii. It definitely wasn't perfect, but was an awesome ride from start to finish.
To me, the QTE is fun in this game, but what I really hate is, the prompt text are so tiny. HDMI cable does make the text more easier to read, but they’re still tiny.
@@ChrisinColor it’s the only game I keep my 360 for. It’s a shame the multiplayer has been disabled now, it was much more fun compared to nowerdays COD. **cough** Cold War **cough**
The graphics of black ops is very real and while inside the helicopter ,the mission is very excellent and in the space mission also where we have to give direction our soldiers and give them orders to crouch to remain out of enemy's sight and also the breaching time the slow motion shooting is very good
Hiii, question, this is a weird question I know, but to my knowledge Rosa Klebb is in this game? Correct, or no? And if she is, what are her traits/abilities (for instance does she have her blade tipped shoes?) Yet again, thx, and great video, dropped a sub
Yep, Rosa Klebb is in the game! When you play as her, your secondary weapon is always the Pearl Grip 418 pistol (which is also available as a regular loadout choice regardless of character) and what the game calls “poison tipped Stiletto Blades”. They’re essentially just one-hit-kill throwing knives, they don’t come from her shoe or anything. You spawn with 3 blades and they replace your grenade (RB or R1). It’s pretty much exactly the same as Oddjob’s hat with a different skin. The game also says she has increased weapon accuracy, but I didn’t notice any major difference in recoil when doing a test fire at a wall next to another character with the same weapon.
@@ChrisinColor THANK YOU soooooo much, I really appreciate it, unpopular opinion Rosa klebb is easily my favorite female bond villian, and when you say knives, does the knife look like a knife, or does it look like a shoe? Like as in, does she throw shoe knives? Like I know they don’t come from her foot, but when she throws them, do they look like shoes? I’m just curious as I just bought the game, I’m really into older games
It definitely looks like a knife. The animation goes so fast you can barely see it, but if you throw it at a wall, it sticks there for a few seconds before disappearing. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like a shoe at all, but that would make more sense than just throwing regular knives.
@@ChrisinColor I agree, it would be even cooler if she actually did have a long ranged lunge kick or something for her melee, but either way is cool because it’s Rosa klebb tbh, THANK you thank you thank you so much for everything, really appreciate it
The reason the game wasn't successful in multi-player is because fps gamers are all about CoD and nothing else. I personally don't care about either. I'm strictly a fps gamer for its campaign, stealth, spy type missions. Being a 007 fan is what would make you want to play these games in the first place.
The first mission was the best part of the re-imagined Goldeneye. After that, the game was meh. Hated how they changed Trevelyan's motives for attacking London with the Goldeneye, it just completely killed the game. The game's not trash, but the N64 story is leagues above the re-imagined one.
We use to play goldeneye 4 player on a 13" commodore computer monitor
That’s a dream monitor, if I ever find one at a thrift store I’m picking it up

It looks like Call of Duty07 GoldenWarfare lol
It does! That’s one of the reasons I like it though, I love COD.
It's insane how this is almost as long ago as it was from the film. It doesn't help in my case that I'm two years older than the film.

I still own my goldeneye reloaded (and the other 007 games of the gen) disc but sadly my 360's disc player is broken...

Thank you!!
I wish goldeneye reloaded can come out on Xbox One since I have a copy of it for my 360
Me too! One of the few games I keep the 360 around for.

Bummer they didnt have a PC port with Mod Support. If they did I wouldn't be surprised if Fans modded it and made it really great.
That would be incredible. There are some mod friendly CODs like Black Ops 3 that would be a great way for fans to port this to the PC.

It got amazing reviews though. So I can't say it's under rated... But I feel nobody talks about it at the same time lol
Nice!
Thanks!! And thanks again for the intro template, I’m not great at After Effects yet so it was a huge time saver.

I have the two games downloaded in my android Wii-goldeneye reloaded -2.22 gb size, call of duty black ops-3.94 gb
It’s incredible how it’s possible to emulate Wii games on phones now.
well we can always play those games on Rpcs3 or Xenia emulators :)
I remember enjoying it
I like GodenEye 0007: Reloaded
I was excited but for some reason I’m not and I loved multiplayer on Goldeneye
why the fuck was this game never released on pc bro
Not an issue: Goldeneye: Source exists.
Sorry but this is much worse than the original.
Explain why, in detail.
@@TheMrCHELL the original had a much better soundtrack
@@TheMrCHELL i mean its relaoded with completely different lvls and the new bond which all in all= meh.
I hope the rumors are true about Goldeneye getting a remake that's more faithful to the movie on next gen consoles.
@@TheMrCHELL Exactly! The original had so many little details!
Rareware had much more soul.
it's just Call of Duty
