I found the QZR on the side of the road. Owner destroyed the engine by putting 36:1 in the engine. I had the 3650 model. I modified the 3650 to fit the QZR handle and chute while still having that powerful 7hp two stroke. I mix it with Benol racing oil for 50:1 and grape gas perfume. Smells good and throws snow like crazy. I also have the powerful 2 stage 826 OXE for 10 inches or more snowfall here in CT.
i bought the 721 QZR Feb. 2015 - the first snow this year in lorain ,ohio it would not throw snow - it was a heavy snow not powdery - i called where i bought - it they picked it up - they replaced the the paddles they say were out - now i have to wait for another snow - it should throw whether its powdery or heavy /wet - right - what do you think
Have a Toro 621 QZE and it's a great machine. The 721 QZE looks the same except for a bigger engine? I forgot to run the engine dry of gasoline and the gas turned to crap in the carburetor. Had to take off the carb and totally clean it out. Runs great again (like new) and now run non-oxy ( ethanol free gas) in all my small engines and even my car.
There's this additive called Starbrite for cutting that horrible ethenol. I use it in my 5 gallon fuel so when I fuel up the engines it's already Incorporated. I have never had the engines carb clog on me. I'll supply the link.
Please help me. My toro has a slide clutch. Two lines with a slant inside. On the left and an arrow on the right on the right side of this tab. Where should this tab be when I start the machine ? On the left or middle or right? Once it starts where should this tab be? Left middle or right ? Thx
Most small engines like that are usually a quart or less of oil, usually if you change it every season you'll be good. Biggest thing though is after you buy it you want to change the oil after about 2 uses or first half hour to one hour of use, that's the break in period that will drain any metal shards if there are any from the new engine getting broken in, nothing to be alarmed about it's normal on any small engine. After that you can change it once each season keeping an eye on the oil level throughout the season though top off as needed with 5W-30 oil.
The easiest way is to run the engine dry, that is run the engine until it runs out of fuel. If there is a lot of fuel, then draining the tank through the carburetor would be the best solution. Loosen the bottom drain screw on the carburetor until you get a flow of fuel. When it stop draining, tighten the bolt.
Or the next best thing to do is put and run it on ehanol free fuel. I run all of my machines on that type of fuel. Cuz they are a lot better for your engine and the crab's. I run my my Honda lawnmower and my Toro 621 QZE snow blower i run VP small engine fuel in them. So like if they sit for a while with out starting them. Then you don't need to worry about the gas going bad and getting crap in the crab's. Or just in case if you forget to run them out of gas. So it is a better idea to put ehanol free fuel. Cuz cheep gas with ehanol it is not the best for your small engines. Also the better ehanol free fuel it will make your engines run a lot better.
Great video. Well done
Thank you so much
Happy new year

Does the key stick up wobbly or is the lower part break off?
Very well explained.

How does this Tora compare to the Honda 721?
Both are equally impressive. With Honda you'll get the price difference and expense for parts. Again..BOTH are equally impressive in my opinion.
how much oil does it take and how often do you change it?
