My sister changed various window motors 7 times on her old Buick. Dealer covered it. She has a new car now. Yes, a Buick. Everything works on my 2003 Le Sabre Custom except the gas gage. I fixed the drivers window mechanism. That 3800 Engine is ROCK SOLID. Cushy car!!
One of the best cars ever made if you have a long commute on the interstate hi-way. 75mph rides amazing, good road feel and handling and perfectly smooth ride over any road surface! LOVE my 2002 Limited!!!

I am on my fifth Buick four park avenues ultras one. Le Sabre if you spray silicon spray on the window tracks with the window down your windows will rise and descend normaly mine used to be slow when it rained normal now. One guy I met had a Cadillac and Buick in his drive way he told me the Buick has a better ride.in the1960s the tv commercials told you to step up to Buick. When I was growing up in Iowa, it was an inside joke you could own more than one vehicle but one of them had to be a Buick. Every one seemed to own one. My dad's first car was Buick Century, and now I find myself the owner of a rare very low mileage Buick Park Avenue Ultra with the supercharged engine. The important thing is keep up on the maintenance. There is no such thing as no maintenance.
Just picked up a 2001, in great shape however tire sensor and engine maintenance lights coming on. It's running like a dream computer on car dash showing all normal. So going to shop to get Inspection , just hope no major problems.
I have a 2004 Buick Park Avenue has window troubles that needs greased and the chains on the windows need greased. Once I took the panels off and got Silicone WD 40 grease and sprayed it on the chains and that was last year.
Ive been replacing tons of parts of my 04 PA buick. Ive been getting bad Mpg, around 12 or 11 city. Fuel pressure is good, new fuel filter, cleaned the throttle body, new air filter, cleaned my maf sensor and iac valve. Im going to be doing a tune up to it soon. Hopefully i can get it sorted out.
I have owned my 2002 Buick Lesabre for almost 4 years now, and it has 158,000 miles now. I think I may have got about the worst one lol. Basically every problem known with the Lesabre's went on this car. The intake gaskets went, along with the entire aluminum intake. I had never seen anything like it, but the aluminum intake literally had a hole in it dumping coolant into the oil. The oil in the car was transparent, because of all the coolant in the oil(it still was running normal). I pulled off the rear valve cover to replace the gasket since I was already there and it was quite literally vanilla pudding. After replacing the aluminum intake and the plastic upper intake and the gaskets. It did have a little upper-end knock for a while flushing all of the gunk out of the valve covers, but the engine is healthy still! It really does go to show how well built these motors are, because it has been 10,000 miles since that happened and it is running great. Other engine components have failed, but were cheap and relatively easy to replace. I get an average 22.3 mpg now. The funny part is I have only done one window regulator and all of them have worked perfectly.
The intake gaskets on my 2005 base model were replaced due to leaking. I was shocked to see what the original orange coolant was doing to the alum. intake! It was desolving it in certain areas! I did a full flush of the coolant system with strong, "industrial grade" vinegar from Lowe's. Good thing I decided to change the intake gaskets when I did as I dodged a bullet as far as having to replace the intake. Now I run 100% green anti-freeze. Only 71K miles on it and it's the best riding vehicle I ever owned , and I've owned close to 40 four wheeled vehicles since 1973.
@@stevesmith6236 I am glad you caught it just in time as well. The stuff turns so acidic after a long period of time. It just eats away at most of the parts it touches! They're great riding cars and I hope you have the best of luck with it!
I have a 2003 LeSabre and my current issue is the automatic transmission hesitating to shift out of low gear. Once it shifts and goes to the higher gears it is fine. My mechanic said there were transmission issues such as this on GM cars from that period and would have to tear it down to fix the problem. Not willing to spend that kind of money on a car that old so I'll continue to use it as long as it works. Otherwise a great car and only 74000 miles on it.
Could be the pressure control solenoid. Look up a video called top 5 Buick lesabre problems and there's one that's under 4 minutes long and the guy mentioned something like what you're describing.
when button or switches don't work properly...press them rapidly until they do. It's typically oxidation on the contacts, and the repeated hits will clean them.
Nice. I just bought a 2000 Lasabre Custom. Same color same interior. Has 71170 miles. It's almost mint. Was from a single owner in St Louis Missouri. What was your mileage when you got it and when you got rid of it???
Was the CD player any good if u used it? My friend is a junkie for CDs. Also what would u say be the avg price of a full tank? I could google tho 🤪🤪🤪🤪.
The only thing that has vexed me about this car (besides the windows), is the rear air shocks. I cannot for the life of me locate the OEM shock anywhere. Even the dealership doesn't have them. This is the one with the threaded nipple on the shock body for the air line connection. I don't want to do a coil over conversion. Surely, there's a pile of a OE airshocks laying around in some warehouse somewhere in America. Anyone got any leads?
@ralphl5441 Would you say it handles better than when the stock ones were functioning properly? I have 70k on mine, although it's very smooth sometimes think it should be a bit firmer.

That Focus is going to be a big pile of shit if it has the horrible dual clutch automatic transmission.
