My mom had an 03’ century, it was a great reliable car, not once did it leave us stranded. unfortunately it sat in the grass for a year or two because we were so poor we couldn’t afford to register it and the frame rotted. But it still ran and drove onto a trailer before going to the junkyard. I’d say this one is worth saving just based on the immaculate undercarriage.
anywho, have fun in Florida Jay!~

Those Centurys had the GM 3.4 V6. That engine was noted for having intake gasket leaks. The power steering hose leak is also another common GM problem. As for the good, grill, and fenders someone could find some good ones in a wrecking yard. Transmissions were also a problem on those too.

That bad boy needs a lot! I just sent my 2000 VW Passat, that my son wrecked, to the junkyard. Kinda broke my heart as I owned it for 14 years. Surprisingly, the best car I ever owned. I couldn’t bear to watch him hook it the the truck …with a wrecked front end and no doors on the driver’s side that we harvested for the replacement ‘03 Passat I bought to replace it. Just a sad day. But, hey! I sold it scrap for more than I bought it for (with a broken timing belt) originally. So that’s pretty good. And it kept my boy and his friend from safe in the wreck! It was the car that kept on giving.

Rust free or not doesn’t determine how many hidden gremlins this thing has. It’s shot. My monte carlo was the same way. Beautiful engine but transmission was going and the break line exploded on me trying to back out of my drive way. Not to mention the interior was busted up from the previous owner and the body as well. It was a true lemon but man i really do miss that baby.

@@Lunar_Capital When you live in the rust belt state you'd be surprised at how important AND desirable a rust-free old car is - Brake lines like your car needed is typically not a factor on non-rotted vehicles like this one, that's something we deal with up here on rust buckets, along with rotted subframes which DOES make a car junk - The body being beat up would be a small price to pay for having a CLEAN cheap hooptie that runs well.

I actually do live up in the rust belt, up in MA to be exact and yes my monte suffered from not only the dents and pathetic blue spray bombs to cover up some odd damage in one side. If you really would want a clunker such as this one just because of the rust free feature the by all means go for it. I just would stay away from this car for being a daily rotted or not because of the laundry list of problems (and probably more to come). At least the great thing about a rust free car you don’t need to wrestle with rust fused nuts and bolts.

@3:41 when you say sell it as a cash special... honestly brotha there are people like me that just need a vehicle to get around in until tax time and if I seen that car on a lot as is for 6 or 700 bucks It would be gone in a few days. Most of us that live paycheck to paycheck can find a way to get 600 bucks together, either borrowing the money or even pawning some stuff to get up to 600 back is easier than trying to someone to finance us for a couple Grand even. I hate to say it but Those guys are right. Just put a set of good used tires on it.
Just make sure the person knows it's a as is sale no returns no way to sue you... sh!t I would buy something like that for my kids as a first vehicle if they F it up anymore than it is what's it gonna hurt?

No fix and flip on a junker that old and rough. You’ll donate all your repair labor and at least 3/4 of the money you’ll spend on parts trying to flip it.

That car in Vermont would be a cream puff in this land of salt slathered hell. I shit you not every used car advertised on craigslist just about is being sold as a rot box parts car usually for a pile of money it isn't even worth.
