"Captain America should be able to lift Mjolnir"
If only he knew
Lmao
C'mon man give everyone an extra week before you start spoiling stuff.
@Oh yeah yeah
But Cosmonaut does know about the comic.
Damn yeah
When it saw that part, I said, “OH BOY! THATS MY BOI IN BLUE!!
"I don't like falcon"
R.I.P phase 4 for you lmao
Massinverter I was thinking the same
Ikr Falcon is such a wack character i was so pissed when he became CA. Wouldve made more sense for Bucky to be CA because he actually has super strength and athleticism and shit
Massinverter no one with a brain likes Falcon 😅
Its Mias i think bucky just wants to stay hidden. like imagine the whole world against you and then you're the new cap. people would hate you! i think falcon would be the best choice because phase 4 might be when falcon's arc actually gets interesting
@@ITSMIAS Athleticism isn't a super power and Buck only has "super strength" because of his one metal arm. Also, you don't need super powers to be Captain America.
37:05 Clearly, Steve's perspective on authority has changed since the events of winter soldier where all these Shield corruption came to light. Since then, Tony and Steve have sort of switched personalies: Tony used to be a carefree dude that wanted to do everything on his terms with no authority to control him, but he is now willing to subject himself to authority in an attempt to account for his mistakes and take more responsability for his actions. Meanwhile Steve used to be a good guy who loved being under authority and following orders, but now he has realized that authorities can be corrupt and he doesn't want The Avengers to become puppets used for these authorities' personal interests, but rather he wants the team to be an impartial source of aid that can act in favour of whoever is in need whenever they need it.
This really shows the deep insight/vision that Stan Lee had for the law and story of the MCU
Did he really love being under authority? His first true act as Captain America is to reject orders and go rescue his best friend. Cap always RESPECTED authority but his trait of doing the right RIGHT thing regardless what he is ordered was always there
and tony still didn't follow the rules.
@@Koluke because Tony was wrong in the end.
Exactly, people act like Cap and Iron man were just dumb for their beliefs but you can see how their past films have shaped their opinions on this issue. Same with Black Panther, Wanda, etc
The way Iron Man 3 dealt with Tony's anxiety was honestly better than most dramas. I suspected from RDJ's performance that he's experienced or seen anxiety attacks first hand. I read a lot of reviews that said Tony would never have anxiety attacks, and to those people I say, they don't know how lucky they are. Believing that someone could be immune to that sort of thing is a clear sign that your life hasn't been all that hard, yet. Be thankful that you don't know how real it is. This is one of my favorite Marvel movies based on this alone.
Was looking for this comment! Same here!
shit movie. it took ironman down way too many pegs. pepper pots saves the day 💀 ☠️
I think my issue is that he didn't have anxiety attacks from getting kidnapped and tortured by terrorists but did from the aliens he was mopping the floor with

“Captain America should be able to lift Mjolnir”
That aged great
SEE ENDGAME
Cap did move it slightly in that scene. The theory is that he could already lift it. He felt he can move it and decided to spare Thor's ego and pretend he can't. Doing that would really fit his personality of putting others first. Plus it would make sense why the hammer moved slightly and Thor got a little worried. You can't be only 5% worthy, you either are or you aren't. And it also makes sense why Thor reacted like he did in Endgame. By Age of Ultron the MCU was already established as a huge success with plenty more movies to come so I think it's pretty plausible they planned that all along.

27:41 actually, Hank explains earlier in the movie that the Ant Man helmet is what kept him from getting exposed to the particles, and since Darren’s suit doesn’t have a helmet like the Ant man one, that’s why he went insane.
exactly
wasn't it also because the particles Darren was making weren't the same formula as Hank's? I need to see it again for sure
I never understood why the lazer gun that turns people into boogers is considered a failure. I feel like that's more powerful than making someone small.
For me personally, that is one of the most horrifying scenes I’ve ever seen, and not just in the MCU. For days afterwards I was haunted by the idea that the guy was still sentient as a tiny blob of goo and kept wondering if he could feel everything that was happening to him 😂
It doesnt seem that cost effective honestly. There's probably better way that dont use pym particles to kill a guy
Turning people small was to create an army that's harder to deal with because of how they can change sizes, of they had those yellow jacket suits they would be almost impossible for a conventional army to stop because they really hard to see and hit because of how small they are and they can fly and have laser cannons.
23:05 *Captain America wasn't able to lift Thor's hammer because, at the end of the first Avengers he didn't wear a helmet while riding his motorcycle.*
makes sense
Bad boys get bad luck
I think it's just because he doesn't want to make Thor look bad and lift it

I didn't actually make that connection with the PTSD influencing Tony making Ultron, huh. I still think this movie is pretty much a standalone thing, which I'm completely with Cosmomaut on cause I still love it.
I guess Iron 3 is the first time that aspect is actually shown to the audience, but that doesn't matter that much seeing the event that caused it, you know, happened in Avengers 1. . .
Tony's Ptsd is from Avengers 1. We just see more about it in Iron Man 3. Iron Man 3 is completely filler, it's also one of my favorites so don't @ me. I'm just stating fact.

Fun Fact: In Captain America the Winter Solider everyone in the elevator were actually beating each other up as they wanted it to look real as what they were doing was too noticeable and fake and the actors decided to punch and throw each other around , I learnt this from Screen rant and from the actor that played crossbones.
About the Sokovia accords, remember when Iron man prevented New York from being NUKED by literally dragging the nuke through a portal? That’s the argument I would go with.

Doesn't Iron Man 3 explain why Tony's suits became so advanced so fast? In the span of a year, he built 40 suits. And by the 43rd one, it was fully remote, mobile, and could operate as a sentry. I would say that is this movie'a biggest contribution.
Zemo's goal wasn't to get them to kill each other. it was to destroy the Avengers. And he DID succeed at that. He succesfully turned them against each other. The Avengers broke up. Their trust is destroyed. They are no longer an entity. He won.
Aside from Thanos, Zemo iss the ONLY villain with a winning track record against the Avengers. And he's just some guy. They've faced gods, governments, genocidal robots and they won every time but one guy with a little red book beat them. By himself.
Ultron being jokey makes sense because he’s based on the personalities on Tony and Bruce
Just cause it makes sense doesn’t mean it works with the tone.

Ultron would have been way better if he was serious. The trailer was amazing and had hyped up everyone up because of Ultrons arrival.

BodaciousDoggo A word of advice: We’re not all the same, so you can’t have a “wrong” personality, but I don’t enjoy tropes that make us out to be either obsessed with our looks and guys, or naive (like we need everything explained to us by a older, more experienced man)
@@bodaciousdoggo8971 make sure to write your women so that their character/personality isn't too impacted by gender stereotypes. it really sucks when the only types of women in a story are pure stereotypes (Black Widow sort of falls victim to this), so make sure to develop your female characters as humans first. it's okay for female characters to fit some stereotypes, but make sure that they have a personality outside of those tropes.

Tino ! Agreed
Also for ironman 3, they really humanize Tony by showing the ptsd he faces by falling out of that hole in the sky. I really liked that because superheros are usually "immune" to mental health issues but Tony didn't know how to get over his ptsd which was nice
23:03 - so with Steve not being able to lift Mjolnir: the writer on the movie came out to say that the only impurity in his heart was the secret he was keeping from Tony about the fact that Bucky killed his parents. Tony on the other hand went from not caring about anyone but himself, to trying to save the world by any means necessary.
You're actually having problems with character development, it's kinda silly.
I subscribed because you played some of my favorite video game music.
Also your opinions helped me rethink how I felt about these phase 2 movies but it's honestly your selection of video game music.
Finally some appreciation for Iron Man 3!
I love that movie and how it showed Tony's human side and vulnerability. I don't know why people hate it so much.
haha, finally people who agree with me
I thought Black Widow was okay, until the writers introduced the weird hulk romance. Like, where did that come from? In the Avengers she was scared of him! A romance between her and Hawkeye would've made more sense, if they hadn't given him a family out of nowhere. Hell a romance between her and Steve could work because they interact in a casual way!
lazycloud33 Poor Black Widow can't catch a break. She starts off as kind of uninteresting and annoying. Then in the Avengers she gets way more development, only to become somewhat annoying again in Winter Soldier, only for them to shoehorn in a romance with Banner. If they could make a Black Widow movie clearing all this stuff up, it'd be great, but I feel like they're just shoving anything they can into her character for us to like her and none of it works all that well.
Idk, I actually really liked her in Winter Soldier, and the fact that we don't know much about her fits with her character imo. She purposefully doesn't let people close/doesn't let them see past her exterior and I think it's cool that she doesn't let the audience do that either. Which is why the romance with Banner was even more bullshit to me. I think Winter Soldier was the last time Black Widow was good in these movies. In the following ones she's been either out of character, boring, or got like 5 minutes of screen time (or all 3 at the same time). It's really a shame that she didn't get her own movie in phase 1 or 2, I think a lot of people would like that. It's kind of too late for that now.
She was a nothing character in Iron Man 2. Just an eye candy.
Her character would be decent if they actually gave her any development. She's the same character she was in Iron Man 2
I honestly really like black widow, but I admit she wasn't great in age of ultron.
23:03 *whatches endgame* Thor and Cosmonaut : I KNEW IT!!!

So as I watched the movie I watched as Mjolnir fell on the ground and thought oh yeah that's gonna be important later, and then he picks it up, and no shit I turned to my friend and said "I knew it" at the same time as Thor
Liked the video but I think sometimes you look at certain things with face value. For instance in Civil War it makes sense that Steve would not sign the accords because he had dealed with working for a government agency in Shield that turned out to be Hydra. Why would he risk signing it and possibly being under the jurisdiction of a corrupt group or individual again?
I completely agree!
I was thinking about how the government in this movie doesn't care about the damage caused by the avengers and are just using it as an excuse to control them
Marvel fan: stop nitpicking Captain America
Marcus: I can do this all day
Fun fact: Shane Black originally wrote Killian (the real Mandarin) to be female. He wanted it to be a Remington Steel deal where everybody thinks it’s the guy but it’s actually a woman orchestrating the whole thing all along. And her morality was meant to be a lot more ambiguous, like Maya. However movie execs told him to change the gender because of “toy sales” saying kids wouldn’t want to buy a female villain toy.
Rachie And The Waves them they proceeded to not make Toys of Killian rendering their argument useless.
Just BØNY Is there really no toys for Killian:/
Rachie And The Waves that's so fucking ironic because even when Killian was revealed to be the villain they still sold more Mandarin toys to not spoil the twist so regardless of gender it still wouldn't have mattered...ffs marvel
BSJ IN YO HOUSE I mean I only remember the Lego version of Killian in one Lego set but I haven't seen actual action figures of him
In general they're correct, speaking as a boy who had action figures.
I dunno I would argue that Civil War is a really good precursor to Infinity War because it's the reason why they lost to Thanos. Have you noticed that the Avengers don't assemble in that movie? It's mostly because Cap and Tony fell out and half the Avengers are in hiding. If they weren't in hiding, they would've put up a stronger defense against Thanos and they actually would've stood a chance. Sure Thor still would've been separated but if anything, Infinity War made him stronger than before and he would've brought the Guardians with him.
Also the reason Cap was against the accords was because his whole thing is freedom. He hates bullies because they're oppressive, ditto with Hydra and in The Winter Soldier, he learns that even the US government was against freedom because SHIELD endorsed project insight long before they knew it was a part of Hydra. He felt that the accords were too oppressive against the Avengers and he especially doesn't trust the government after what Hydra pulled in The Winter Soldier and after realising that they weren't as great as they were in WW2.
Exactly.....if we have a united Avengers team, we have a stronger first strike against Thanos. In IW, Strange can only go to Tony, because he has no line to Cap, so right away the good guys are handicapped.
If Tony has (real) back up on Titan maybe the outcome is different
No they lost because of Thor and Star Lords personal vendettas which the Russos stated

Ive seen a few theories on why Cap couldn't at that point
1. Guilt relating to the Winter Soldier added with a bunch of inner conflict from that whole situation. He's lying to Tony by not informing him about Bucky killing his parents. He's been forced into a moral dilemma
2. He was trying to be nice to Thor. He knew how important being worthy was to him so he didn't wanna lessen that by scooping it up ezpz.
i have something to get off my chest. i never disliked ironman 3, tbh i was always a ironman 3 stan, i liked ironman 3 more than ironman 1 from the start. don’t @ me
Iron Man 3 does affect the MCU because it shows Tony's anxiety, which drives most of his actions in later movies. And Civil War does affect Infinity War. The Russo Brothers even said that the Avengers might have won if they weren't divided. If they skipped over Civil War, Infinity War would be very different.
E Thanos Agreed.
Civil War has a huge impact on Infinity War. The Aveng ers have broke up, meaning there is no united front against Thanos.
So, instead of having a team of professiona ls backing him up on Titan he has to rely on the wacky GOTG. Oh, and Vision and Wanda woul dnt be on the run, vulnerable to attack. They would be secure at Avengers HQ, not on the run and vulnerable to attack. Yeah, it's so obvious, Civil War has no stakes!
Iron Man 3 doesn't affect anything, because nothing changes after that movie. Tony Stark's anxiety is never brought up again. His relationships with Pepper got flushed down the toilet in Civil War just so that there would be more reasons for him to be sad.
BSJ IN YO HOUSE, this movie is trash, kid.
Anxiety is never brought up again? ... Bro did you see Ultron? Did you see Civil War. Just because he doesn't get panic attacks anymore doesn't make it that his fear of the alien army at Earth's doorstep isn't what drives every action he takes.

The best bit about that scene is how Winter Soldier just gives up when he sees the hole in the ground. Urm, dude, old Sam Jackson has a broken wrist and at best is limping along a sewer right now. Go after him! What, did you not want to get your hair dirty? To be fair, he does have some luscious locks...
I thought iron man 3 was about tony learning how to deal with his new york PTSD
Han Solo movies can be about multiple things
@@Lonewulf321 ok so firstly I'm not saying movies have one idea and that alone, secondly he said he had no idea what Iron man 3 was about
Han Solo yeah I know
@@Lonewulf321 what are you getting at
SundayEveryday exactly what I said. Verbatim
Cap did move Mjolnir, and I kinda took that as him just not wanting to embarrass Thor and pretending but moving a little bit on accident while giving it a good "showing"
I’ve watched so many of your videos sick as a dog or trying to sleep
I don't think the events of Civil War didn't have any effect on the plot. CW ends in a conflct between Tony and Steve which doesn't get resolved untill 2023 in Endgame. And because Avengers broke apart, they were not evolving as a team and they were not prepared for Thanos' attack at all, facing him split (on Earth and Titan). Imagine if they were all together facing him on Titan.
Yeah I totally agree, and though just a correction: when tony and cap are reunited, it’s still technically 2018. I think that if cap iron man, doctor strange, Spider-Man, the guardians, and the rogue avengers fought thanos together, they would’ve done way better, and maybe even won that fight. I don’t particularly hate cosmonaut, but he doesn’t really think about some of the points he makes.
EXACTLY
agreed
@CYB3R2K30 and everybody in infinity war is pretty much on good terms with each other by that point in time. Cap even calls Tony "Earths best defender" so yes the movie was completely pointless.
"If you ask me, thats his real super power, not the suit..." Congrats mate you get whole point of the film
That's more than any other film critic tbh
@@DannyTanimoto Ralphthemoviemaker also got the point.
Danny Hulliung you don’t watch a lot of critics do you?🤣
@The real Mr Krabs did not get the point
Bucky Barnes is such a sympathetic character his arc carries those movies.
You take that back!
Bro what movies... honest to God I forgot bucky was a character after Civil war
@@ZombieOwlYT You tell him
went through all ur videos just to find the audio where u rate civil war and the "i hate you" audio plays that bit plays through my head near daily lol
u make that good shit thank you :)
During Ross talking about destruction I would've said you launched a nuke at new york
To be fair SHIELD which was actually HYDRA launched the nuke at new york. Not the government.
Frank Agizzaro nah mate nick fury did not want to launch it but the world security council was i like your plan except it sucks so let me do the plan instead so it can be really good and launched the nuke
@@lstcg9509 You know Nick Fury wasn't HYDRA right? The World Security Council specifically Gideon Malick who was the guy Fury was talking to did launch the nuke so it was still him and HYDRA and definitely not the govt.
"Cap has no reason to disagree" He said the reason in the scene where the discussed the Accords. Watch it again.
Abdul Habeeb yeah and he also didn’t take into account that the entire government was infiltrated by nazis, making Cap very distrusting of the government
How come he didn't just say: well stark was actually the one who goofed up the most so- never mind you've probably seen "how it should have ended"
The worst part is Tony signing on the accords and just going to draft Spider Man to do super hero stuff
just like marcus said WTF IS THE POINT
@@stillpixel9233 may not have even worked then.
@@unclephillymya To be fair it's in Tony's character at times to be a little reckless even when he should be a bit more responsible.
Happy Birthday!
i know elon musk but if he was randomly in my dark garage im likely not going to know its elon musk
Thought I was the only one who thoroughly enjoyed iron man 3.
I enjoyed it
It was fun
I enjoyed this movie to the point that I consider it the best mcu movie I have ever seen in my entire life and yes I watched all the 23 mcu movies and iron man 3 is still the best !
Its in my top 10 its great
@Burrito Supreme nah, it worked fine. The ending was him having a closure with his past. His demons. N most importantly, how he's a "changed man". He's not the Tony from the 2000s anymore. Nor the one from 2008. He's evolved. His house getting wrecked. His suits all blown up. Him leaving his wrecked house, with him taking the salvageable tools while throwing away his arc reactor into the sea symbolises his whole story right there. Growth. Evolution. That scene didn't hint at him retiring. But reinstating that u can take away his house, his tricks n toys but not him being iron man. Cuz Tony Stark is Iron Man.
As for appearing in the next movies, the ptsd carried with him. U can't simply get over ptsd. Wanda triggered it n made it worse. Thus, Ultron being made accidentally.
"You built a super computer and gave it a german accent"
"FIRST CORRECTION: HE IS SWISS"
Ethan Barker and besides he’s a Nazi so he’s supposed to be german
Professor Weirdo No. He’s a computer.
Good Boy ok obviously but when he died he put his conscience and intelligence in a computer 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
Professor Weirdo I think he was joking in his reply
Professor Weirdo That wouldn’t affect how it sounds. It would mimic his decisions and morality but not his voice. If anything, it should have a text-2-speech voice. Not that any of this crap matters in a superhero movie, though.
I purposely didn't want to watch these type of videos and live in a happy state of ignorance and enjoy the movies as they were. Now I simply enjoy them as a nostalgia thing
Bro that thumbnail 😂😂😂
The reason why the computer has a German accent in Winter Soldier, is because it's the consciousness of the little German dude from the first Captian America
I can't believe we're talking about this scene in this way and forgetting Armin Zola literally corrects Black Widow in that he is Austrian, not German. lol
Wasn't he Swiss?
Austrians and Swiss speak german, no? I thought that they just had an accent.
I can't believe this dude thinks someone built Armin Zola... I'm not sure I want to continue watching the video now...
"First correction, I am swiss."
You only don't like Falcon because he is black!
Wait...
Nah man.
Falcon just sucks
Falcon is , Aside From T'challa (Black Panther) they kept near 100% right.
Marvel and DC are the kings and Queens of BlackWashing.
@@dadeleemurphy85 The joke is because The Cosmonaut is Black too, not something from the comics lol
Falcon was a token in the comics, and a token in the movie. So in that aspect, they stayed true to the original.
Falcons just utterly USELESS
This movie the the best movie I've ever seen. I've never had so much fun watching a movie. I legit have went back in theaters to see it 1.5 billion times. I've held a whole crowd of people at gun point to watch this movie because of how much I wanted to show people how good the movie was... 8/10

I seriously don't understand the dislike for Age of Ultron. Personally I really enjoyed it
Well, it was implied that Cap CAN lift Mjolnir as Thor looked incredibly uncomfortable when he managed to budge it a bit. Cap just gave up before he managed to actually lift it.
I like Cinema Wins' theory that Cap totally could have lifted Mjolnir right then and there, but intentionally chose not to for the sake of Thor's ego, and that's my personally head canon now too :)
@@TheSonicShoe well its confirmed cannon how by marvel
I'm not sure how you missed Cap's motivation in Civil War since it was spelled out clearly from the events in Winter Soldier - it stems from HYDRA taking over SHIELD and Cap having lost all faith in a government, the UN, or secret/nefarious forces giving him and his team orders that aren't in the best interest of all. In essence, he's done being a pawn ordered around. That's part of his character arc and a natural progression from him taking orders in World War II, since the stakes were a lot clearer then. It's part of his adjusting to the "reality" of the modern world that he is coming to grips with, and an extension of the "fish-out-of-water" aspect of his character.
what're you doin here?
Pat the NES Punk and also for civil he says they shouldn’t hate the avengers but for iron man 2 he says they should hate iron man. Also he thinks that the government only blames the avengers when vision says threats since IRON MAN has risen
Same but I can't type a long note but thanks
what he said
I’m confused wait did he say that he was unsure I was not paying attention at the part because I didn’t like Civil War either and I just wanted to get done with the video
God, that Metal Gear comparison made my day!
I REALLY disagree with the section of your video about Civil War, but I think the rest of your video was very well made! :)
I prob won’t go into detail since no one will see this comment most likely but my opinions on that movie are basically reflected in Cinemawins video on this movie. Overall, good job!

I didnt like Ant Man much the first time I watched it. Then I saw Ant man & wasp and loved it. So I rewatched Antman and really enjoyed it. Show-er vs grow-er I guess.
I weirdly love falcon because he seems like a bad super hero, his wings are just a complicated jet pack, but the characters seem to not like him and he seems to know it
