First Look at Arcane Season 2 Characters

- Arcane Season 2 is still a long ways away, but using information from season 1, information from the lore of league of legends, it is possible to piece together a good chunk of what will likely happen in arcane season 2.

I’m just hoping the same exact people who made season 1 makes season 2. Give the producers/everyone the same creative freedom they had on season 1.
We can just keep our fingers crossed and keep on asking for this. As well as giving studio time, not rush them just let them do their thing. If they do imagine how insane would it be if they ended up not fucking up season 2 which is so rare with many shows that have more then 1 season. For example look at one punch man, elsa.. major disappointment.

Hope so. The animation studio actually had a lot of creative agency when it came to the story for Arcane, so I'm hoping they can keep that going.

Well the people that created arcane definitely proved that given creative freedom they can come up with amazing stories and riot isn't like any other studio that focuses on animation so I don't see them stepping in and removing creative freedoms from the showrunners so I think we are safe from a situation like a lot of other sequels to amazing first seasons / movies see

I think arcane is a great opportunity to fix a lot of the problems with Seraphine and her place in league lore as well upgrade her design and make her a bit more rounded than her current archetype. I think it already worked wonders with Jinx so it could probably also work with Sera.
I am still down with Seraphine's non popstar look. Just like the ones in the fan comics
We must remember that arcane takes place 2 years in the current lores past, so seraphine would only be 15 in arcane. She’d be a child. So while I’m all for her being a part of the story I can’t imagine she’d have to big of a role.

I could see a modified Seraphinnin the show if they decide to explore the origins of the hextech crystals alongside Camille since in the lore Camille’s family are the ones who first brought the crystals to Piltover and Zaun, and Seraphine can hear the Brackern souls inside. This kind of plot line could also then involve Skarner (despite not being from the area) and if you really want Ezreal, who could be responsible for transporting Skarner from Shurima to Piltover/Zaun.

Definite possibility. Personally, I hope that they entirely rewrite the origin of the Crystals to remove the Brackern souls as being part of them. Riot was so studious as to ignore that particular bit of lore for so many years, but then had to bring it back with Seraphine, bringing it to the forefront and now it can't be ignored.
As it stands now, Piltover is Doomed. It is dependent on Oppressing Zaunites AND the quasi-Genocide of the Brackern. And while it can learn to co-exist with Zaun in a peaceful and equal manner, it literally cannot exist without the Brackern crystals to fuel their Hextech. And using the Brackern crystals is AT BEST denying the Brackern their normal existence, and a worst, literally consumes them as fuel, eliminating their intellectual, spiritual and cultural existence even if the physical form (crystal scorpions) continue to live. The only thing that gives Piltover a "pass" for this quasi-genocide is that they don't realize what they're doing. Until Seraphine came along.
At worst, I hope they show that the "first" Hextech crystals were the ones with the Brackern, but they have found new ones lately which they are using now because they simply worked better. At best, just write the Brackern out of the history of Hextech entirely - no relation between the two at all.

@@thatotherguy8138 is it not established the Piltover does not give a damn about morals so using crystals won’t raise an eyebrow. Majority of councillors vote for peace deal as it severely cripple Zaun economically and they were giving Zaun things it basically had already. Piltover is currently doomed as they would now be suffering complete economic collapse due to its a war zone now with hexgate and the hexgate ships easily hit by Jinx gun long making trade the lifeblood of the city gone. That’s not even taking into account the outbreak of crime in the city as for the first piltover does not have enough food to go around and people to turn to crime in order to feed themselves.
IMO season 2 will probably start branching out to other regions. The most likely ones being Noxus and Shurima. Maybe even Ionia.
@@thatotherguy8138 This sounds like every region in Runeterra. Demacia is in a civil war with brutally repressed mages. Frejord has never been united and is always fighting with each other. Bilgewater is a bunch of pirates that have to deal with sea monsters and yearly raids from an isle of undead...also have a civil war between Gangplank and Miss Fortune. Ionia is divided between the conquered by Noxus part and the free part with leaders that are fighting each other (Zed and Shen). Noxus is a brutal dictatorship ruled mainly be a guy who literally partnered with a demon (Swain) and who likes unleashing a giant undead monstrosity (Sion) on any conquered territory that steps out of line. And Shurima has very little government to speak of and has to deal with void incursions (Rek'sai). Ixtal hasn't been explored much, but I believe Qiyana is currently ruthlessly vying for the throne. Oh and Targon has a bunch of jerk Gods and Demi-Gods running the place.
The entire world is a powder keg with the individual nations massive internal problems being the only thing stopping a major world shattering war. Frankly Piltover is probably one of the better places to be at the moment.
Now I can finally be smug towards Arcane newbies because I've read the manga

seen the teaser, we will surely still be in Piltover and Zaun, Vi and Cupcake will surely hunt down Jinx to arrest or kill her (which would surprise me), in parallel we will follow the evolution of Viktor who following the Jinx's attack will surely leave the city because conflicts will take place between the two cities and he will not accept that so easily, Ekko and Hemerdinger when they will surely be more important too, without forgetting Noxus obviously who will surely appear a few champions, when in Jinx she will surely find herself even more isolated, unless a new character appears and associates with her (it's not the madmen who are missing in this XD universe), otherwise I think that Sevika will be more important and perhaps take Silco's place

I think we'll definitely see Warwick and probably Camille in season 2, with Ziggs, Orianna, Urgot, and Swain as lesser possibilities. Everyone else very unlikely.

I think it's important to differentiate between league and Arcane - they are too different worlds/characters. I personally hope to not see too many new entries into the second season. None of the story arcs are finalised in season 1 and with too many character reveals the show will feel more like fan service than the rich world building/character development we loved about season 1.

What I would give to see seraphine and orianna working together in zaun. Can you imagine orianna being worried that she has lost her soul after her transformation and seraphine comforting her and telling her that she still hears the "song of her soul" THE THINGS I WOULD GIVE TO SEE THIS.
I think Arcane could be a chance for Riot to re-work Seraphine.

Issue is they would have to give serahphine a big design change since her hoverboard is a big part of her character and her gross sparkly outfit is too so as much as Id love changes they could have thought of such a good story sooner

Arcane takes place roughly three years in the past so seraphine would be 14. I don’t think a child can do ALL that.
I guess season 2 is slowly going to take us away from Piltover & Zaun. Noxus is mentionned a lot and with the situation in the end of season 1, I think Noxus will take the opportunity to claim the Arcane & the technology.
Also, if so, that would be a good transition to Ionia later on.
I think Season 1 writting was intelligent to start on a small scale for the new public but Arcane has to go wider to explore LoL lore.
Like Marvel did : start with Iron Man, easily relatable, then slowly expand toward space & magic.
Season two has to close out the current casts lore. They'll probably build out the lore slowly, over like 5 seasons or so.
I believe we are likely to see Camille, Zeri, Urgot, Orianna, Ziggs, and Seraphine at some point in the series. I definitely believe we will see Camille and Urgot in season 2. I believe Zeri could actually be made to be in Arcane, or come from Arcane. It’s just really ironic to me that she got released right after Arcane did. Also the new upcoming Zaunite champion- I also think she’s released for the purposes of eventually being in Arcane. It’s just funny to me how the next champions to be released post-Arcane are both Zaunite. I could be wrong, obviously. I have no way to know the level of involvement of any of these characters, but I believe we will at least get mentions of all of them if not getting to see a glimpse of them before their current state in-lore. Probability of little girl Seraphine is high. They might show her to get fans to like her better, lol
Well actually, as I understand it, Riot decided to delay the release of both Zeri and Renata (the new Zaunite champion) until after Arcane because they would kind of confuse things.
Doesn't mean it's impossible to see either or both in Arcane Season 2 of course, just less likely because Arcane's story has been worked on about 6 years ago and that may involve S2 to this day.
@@biomutarist6832 yes, I saw stuff about Renata/Zeri being delayed so they wouldn’t be associated with Arcane. It’s a cool idea. I would LOVE to see Renata in Arcane at some point, even in the far, far future, but honestly? I don’t care what they do. I have full faith in them and I’m confident anything Arcane will be phenomenal even if it’s only an ounce as good as Season 1

Zeri isn;t made for arcane, Zeri and Reneta were delayed from 2021 because they were not part of the arcane event. Everyone expected pnzx champs related to arcane, they confirmed that neither of the champs are related to arcane.
I'd actually like to see a presence of Jhin. He is more at home in Ionia's storyline, but introduction of him could open an Ionia thread for later. In the comic, Akali heads to Zaun and is captured by Jhin, bringing Shen, Zed, and Kayn all to that city. While i don't think they'd chase that story, just having Jhin show up could make some interesting plays to be had between his view of death as art, and Jinx's chaotic hysteria of death that surrounds her. Would he encourage her to view this as art (not that she would really vibe well with him) or view her as an amateur? There would definitely be some exploration to have if Jhin and Camille both come on the scene. I think it's very likely that we'll see Urgot in some form take the stage, as well as Warwick.
the arcane story line doesnt follow he original lore so there is a possibility that they change his lore to somehow push him in the show. Maybe if camillie is introduced then so is he? like a sub plot that adds pressure to camilles character because he is out to get her or something.
Camille is someone I am interested in. I've never played her, but she looks cool and I like how the cables could be used. Granted her lore doesn't totally mix with Arcane's, as hextech was developed recently and she was converted into a textech cyborg decades ago, but it wouldn't be the first time they made changes to a character's backstory. It could be an interesting story line to see her conversion and transition.
We're going to Noxus my bet. Mel's mum being added late on suggests it. GUESSING Jinx goes on the run and our favourite 'friends' are in cupcake hot pursuit! An easier transition and opens up the world more. We shall see!
A PTSD victim style Swain killing Mel's brother as revenge for getting betrayed and led into an Ambush (where his veteran buddies all died, and he was crippled) by that weird shadow organization in Noxus keeping them really backwards and greedy because he fought against them when he was younger would be a cool revenge story.
We may get to see a little bit of it, but a large part of the story has to take place in Zaun/Piltover. Among all the character arcs that opened up, Caitlyn, Vi, and Jinx's arcs have not yet fully closed. They've reached a stopgap, a kind of transition point which the story can end on for the first season, but they're not truly closed. Jayce and Viktor's character arcs have closed for this season, but most likely will lead to new arcs in the second. Ekko and Heimerdinger had remarkably little screentime and Heimerdinger only just started his character arc in the third act of S1.
Yesss. Riven would be an awesome addition if they go to Noxxus.

I’ve never played lol, but I feel like Warwick would be an awesome way to bring back vander. Not to mention the fact that Warwick is one of the coolest character designs that I’ve seen before
Warwick calls Jax his master. So there won't be a warwick without jax. And appearing Jax needs a deep background. So it is unlikely to see warwick in the show

I'm cheerleading for the papa Singed theory, if you read Orianna's lore it almost has no holes in it.
Singed's whole lore has to do with trying to prolong life and acheive biological immortality, which if he was losing his young daughter to natural causes that would make perfect sense, it's like when Arcane filled in Viktor being terminally ill to make the path he ends up taking seem warranted.
Arcane even retconned Singed slightly where this theory lines up even better, in the lore he goes on and off working in Piltover and working in Zaun but in Arcane Singed had left the Piltover academy many years ago. Orianna and her father end up moving down to the undercity because her lifesaving augments are costing them a house and home, but Arcane could tell the story like, Heimerdinger saw a fellow professor was using volatile technology to try and cheat the death of a girl who was deathly ill and probably wanting to be taken out of her misery. You notice the paralell to rio the axolotl? I've gotta be on to something with this. The picture in the locket looks way way way too much like Orianna for this to be just a rouse. Corin Reveck could very well be his legal name, and Singed being just an alias would make sense for a ex-professor of the Piltover academy turned shady chemist in the undercity.

@@-CyberFrame There are details where they diverge but overall the champions stories are pretty much the same. The Arcane writers intended to fill gaps in the canon lore, not to create a whole new lore.
When you turn on subtitles he is credited as Singed, but in the shows dialogue he is never called that way. They either call him "doctor", "someone", "acquaintance" or simply "you" for that matter. Also Singeds real name is never mentioned in the lore so it all theoretically could be. Even though its not a perfect fit, it could be made pretty believable with a few minor changes on Oriannas and Singeds lore.
I will always stand by that theory
I could imagine to see a little slice of Graves' storyline, when he was kept in prison in Piltover/Zhaun. I think he is very underrated and could become a very menacing, interesting character from bilgewater with connection to the two cities with the show.
I'm so upset that Riot fd up Seraphine so badly. She had such cool potential of being a really influential and important character to the story with how she can hear the hextech crystals and how she could start an entire revolution with the information that hextech crystals are living beings. She could have been a real voice of change, instead she's a joke. Disappointing.

It's good to see that I'm not the only one who thinks Seraphine has a chance to be fixed through the series (judging by the comments.) The character has high potential to be a rioting voice, with a power to hear everyone's true intentions she can unify and pose a great threat against both Zaun and Piltover, not to mention the X-man type of storytelling possible with her super sensitive hearing during her childhood and how she dulls it down only to seek it out again.
It's enough for us to see hardship to empathize, and as soon as we see her struggle but strive to do better, I think a lot of people will understand her character better and give a chance to the entire fandom to witness Seraphine as something more than a cheerleader with a bubbly personality and a starguardian cosplay.
Pre-popstar Seraphine would definitely fit in with the gritty tone of Arcane. They could literally go the Man of Steel route with her character and have her be burdened by her abilities.
Adding her into the story would also set the audience up to learn about the dark secrets behind hextech. Possibly turning her into a revolutionary because of (lore spoilers).
She could fundraise for charity to take care of war orphans. She can join team Ekko and Hein
Definitely Warwick. In addition to the tease we saw in the finale, the Season 2 announcement teaser had his "hunt" theme playing in the background.
And.... way to many hints dropped that he's Vander, so....
I’d love to see Warwick in season 2. Warwick is such a badass character. Plus it’ll be cool to see Vander come back as a beast!
I'm waiting for Jhin to appear there too or at least be mentioned, cause Zed, Shen, and Akali went to catch him sometime around when every1 is not yet in their "final" form.

i really hope for orianna to show up but i cant put her in any scenario, accept the group needs more technicians to help. as far as i know oris father is rich man, an engineer, who replaced her poisoned body piece by piece with robotic parts to keep her alive. later on she gave up her heart so her father can survive his heart disease and left home. well, if thats still her current background story, idk league changes a lot :D
i'm also sure that at least blitzcrank and warwick will show up, maybe even the new announced champion renata, she looks very arcane to me :D
Yes the chembaroness that worked with Silco is called Reni which is short for Renata.
Tbh, Ezreal's childhood as arcane is in the past, he was in piltover and zaun before he lost his parents and canonically he has explored the sewers between the cities and even created his own maps of them because he was bored, (i think he was supposed to be about 8 when he did so?) Ezreal's uncle is a famous rich museum owner, perhaps at least we get a mention of that, it always feels bad that Ezreal is rarely mentioned in pnz lore, because "he's travelling" but yet, also not put in other events because "he's piltoven!" (The sentinals of light event is a big example... he even have a whole alter ego for a sentinal and no show at all despite the progress it would give him!) Ezreal's honestly only mentioned to be made fun of which is kind of a role seraphine seems to be taking from him too (random champs will diss her)
I'd be mad if champs like Zeri showed up before Ezreal, as she's brand new (and their meeting is present timeline, arcane is past before they would have met!). Older champs deserve to have their lore expanded upon before newer champs.
Edit: also noting, Zeri & Renata were delayed from their release to not tie them into arcane because it was confirmed both have nothing to do with arcane! and it would feel weird to force them into the event.

I definitely am feeling Swain. There are so many crows spectating at crucial moments during the show, plus Mel's mom is very well informed before even arriving in Piltover. I believe Swain has already had a touch in Arcane

I'm really hoping Ezrael will make an appearance. I'll settle for a cameo, but we really need him.
I'd love to see urgot show up in arcane, since he's from noxus and could tie into the nexus connection, helping branch out into the world a bit more. I would really enjoy seeing a nod to Janna, like a statue somewhere of her showing that shes a part of their world. Def would love to see Blitzcrank too!
This series has awaken something unholy in each and everyone of us and I can safely say that was Riot's plan all along: To create the most loyal fan base to revitalise League's community.
Arcane is a drug, a very good drug you can't stop consuming once you experience it. As a person that fell down the Vtuber rabbit hole and as an artist that can drawn pretty good, now I'm devoted to make the characters of the show justice (Specially Jinx, Vi and Caitlyn)
I will be honest. When I read the lore of Seraphine and I saw the interactions between her and Jinx, i thought nothing about it, but after arcane I had to ask:
Why the hell they don't use her Ability for foreshadowing how Broken jinx Really is?!
I mean, the only thing that Seraphine tells to Jinx is "Wow, i can not follow you song!" Comm on Riot! Let her say something like "How can a Song be so... Are you all right?" Or something similar!
I Really REALLY Hope that Riot let me eat my own Words and make something with Seraphine, because with her Ability is potential and that just need be using Right

I would like to see Ahri the Gumiho appear in Arcane season 2. But most likely she'll appear more in season 3 when Arcane expands more into the League of legends universe. 🦊🔥
I'm holding out hope of seeing Twitch animated in the glorious Arcane style! There's a ton of background animal-like characters, especially in the Fireflies. Even if it's a cameo, I'd love to see how they make Twitch move in a way to express his paranoid, furtive nature.
Ironically, I could see Seraphine being a minor part in Season 2 as Vi and Caitlyn try to develop their relationship, and it turns out Caitlyn's fandom of Seraphine triggers some jealousy in Vi, who ends up saving Seraphine by the end of that episode, after some internal conflict about whether or not Caitlyn prefers the idol over her. I could see it, but I also have my doubts the writers will include this angle on the love triangle trope. We'll see, I guess.
The only way we could see ezreal is through flashback, because he was at an piltover academy when he was younger.
I think urgot is likely because noxus has been heavily hinted at becoming more involved, and urgot joins noxus in the invasion of ionia
I'm kinda hoping to see an entire shift in setting, giving us Demacia or Mount Targon or something elsewhere in the world with mentions of the Zaun/Piltover conflict erupting or developing and erupting at the end. We could also see a slight time jump and maybe have characters travel around abit, and get Jace and Mel in Noxus or Demacia in a diplomatic fashion, and get a few of our known characters while developing another group of champions.
Bruh like I am so obsessed with this show it’s like Shimmer for everyone begging for more of it💀
League of legends is completely new lore for me, I loved the show though and want to learn more about the characters. I think you're right about warrick being in season 2 and him basically be a version of vi and jinx dad, gives them motivation to put there differences aside in the future for a family reunion!
As someone who has only played maybe 20 ish games of League, I absolutely loved this show. Emotions no movie or show has made me feel in years.

With what they did with Jinx’s origin, turning a manic pixie dream girl type into a gritty and tragic character, watch Seraphine be the center of season 2

Also (and I know this is a long shot but) I love the chance of Rengar coming into the show because he’s my favorite champion. He’d probably be on the hunt for the guy who killed Mel’s brother; mainly because her mother hired him to help her find him. It’s a long shot, but I’m hopin. ❤️🦁
And he could also bring in Kha Zix, and introduce us to the Void. Then Viktor would try to figure out how to use the Void to Piltover AND Zaun’s benefit to finally step out of Jayce’s shadow. A human trying to study the void could bring in the one who does it the other way around who also happens to be my sevond favorite mage character (A Sol will most likely only be referenced, or maybe a cameo of him flying across the starry sky at night). This would attract the attention of our three most famous void killers: Jax, Kai Sa and Kassadin. From there, Ezreal could tie in Shurima, and so on. Either the Rengar/Kha Zix story or something with Bilgewater and Gangplank possibly trying to add Zaun to his kingdom

I'm really excited for season 2 guys and I wonder if this will be a start of a League of Legends cinematic universe?
I could see Mundo only with him being a character meant to foil one of the good guys, but ultimately a failure.
His transformation into the monster being the end of his arc as he would be underdeveloped, but his purpose is to make the other characters more developed in contrast.
Sort of like the corrupt cop. By himself he isn't that compelling or important, but his actions make his "successor" more meaningful. His choice over his daughter instead of the city reflects what happens to Silco.
You forgot two: Glasc, who wasn't announced when you made this but could totally be part of a major storyline, and Jhin. Jhin has been to Piltover, and that musician they showed during the concert had some suspicious visual connections to Jhin.
Also, I think Noxus will play a larger role because Singed has to give them chemical weapons before they invade Ionia.

If they haven't directly stated things will be going on in Piltover/Zaun, then they could just choose to go towards building up other characters. They may choose to leave the Jinx/VI/etc... storyline as it is (excluding cameos and mentions) and follow completely different characters and regions as it is a good enough (yes, they could continue going through it in many ways, just saying it's not a bad spot to leave it at) place to leave it off on to play into where the games are at.
Personally, I'd like to see them working their way through characters with the potential for story like Jinx, Vi and co. did.
I'd still be more than happy with a continuation of Vi/Jinx/Ekko etc..., I'd just also like to see it expand.

I started playing League, but I stayed mainly for the lore! The show is sooo good! I'm geeked out thinking about Camille being in the show now, every time I see something I know from League I just absolutely geek out

I have a feeling that Zeri might be in the show but most likely as a background character. She seems to fit the role of being one of the firelights. Renata’s probably going to be in Arcane too, maybe Singed’s assistant or just someone who makes her own stuff and is competing against him. Warwick, seeing all the theories that he’s Vander, he’s definitely going to be in season 2.
Why so many people thinking that they will add a bunch of other characters who are not even staying in Piltover or Zaun and saying that Arcane will expand. I thought this show is about conflict between two sisters and called Arcane since hextech gem in hands of child killed Vander Mylo and Claggor.
no no the reason they picked piltover and zaun is because they have the most human characters other regions have monsters and all that its really hard to animate and there are so many characters to expand on league is massive l recomend you read sylas lore or hear it from necrit he is a greath character for arcane

Actually, Toonaholic, if you watch the episode that Silco go to Piltover, in the Cop house and threat his daughter, there's a man with Strabismus (Misaligned Eyes) who look like Twitch, he don't have a name in series, and to consider the Twitch line "the slumbers are my home" actually isn't literally slumber but yes Zaun. Twitch lines where from before the construction of Zaun being an undercity so the connections didn't had a point

Janna was referenced when Vi showed Powder where her favourite toy was thrown and she said she hoped a "wind" or a "bird" would knock it down, and off course Janna is like the spirit of clean air or wind in Zaun and mostly appear to the people as a blue bird.
I dont think we're gonna see camille before augmentation bc she's been augmented for a long time about 80 years already, bc year of origin is 916 AN for camille, while ekko à jinx's years are 975 and 976 it wouldn't be right chronologically
since arcane is non canon to the game, there are a lot of fanmade and riot made non-canon story lines where seraphine is a protagonist versus camille's family in their hextech mining. Some potential, fingers crossed!
I agree with you on all aside from Ezreal, he was born and raised in Piltover and did not leave till his parents left and never came back so he went looking for them.... so i think we WILL see him in season 2
ALSO dont forget that golden stele that he recovered from the tomb of Zaun and the clerk at Zalie's unwrapped it and it got hit with direct sunlight and it unleashed Infernus gremlins.... i have a hard time believing that they would leave something like that out of the show
Honestly if they'd put Seraphine in the show they would probably manage to fix her design, town it down a bit and make it more fitting to the show's environment, so I'm open minded about anything they might throw at us
the professor who took blitz credit from viktor is actually Stanwick Padidly, but in Arcane he is already dead and it seems he wasn't a PoS here. Also in that version of lore Jayce and Viktor really never got along when working together

What about the more comical characters. Like the Yordles or Lilia. (Sorry if I pronounce her name wrong I never played Legends or Runeterra.) Will each season introduce more or will they're be spin-offs. Some dark like Arcane others others less so?
There was that allusion to Jana in episode 1 when Vi told Powder about her stuffed rabbit and hoping that the wind might knock it down, but I doubt she’ll actually make an appearance for a couple seasons.
