You know it’s tough when the top 10 are barely 1 second clear of Gold, I knew I was in for it
You know it's impossible for me on pad when even Tidgney gets a time that is currently NOT gold. Of course he could improve and make it. I simply can't. I'm around 2800th which usually is in middle gold times, but still silver and can't see how to improve on pad.
It's a ridiculously hard challenge, don't quite understand why they insist on this car as it's ridiculously hard on a pad.
@@tidgneyIn the end I managed to beat your time and enter gold, hope it stays like this until the end. It's been a little easier once I understood that when lifting the car turns in much more. Still borderline impossible for an average player, for no reason.
I’ll give it couple more gos. I love the track very technical 1st sector. Coming over the hill to finish off the lap. I do love the online time trials it’s you vs you finding time around the track
@@Tigers575 Same here.. and I am not saying that I am good with the Steering wheel :( to maintenance high speed like this is quite hard at least for me.
Managed a 1:00:772 (1:00:488) with a pad. Tbh I find trying to get quicker here quite fun but also pretty frustrating. It's made me realise how unrealistic/inconsistent GT7's physics are with a pad. Even on Maximum sensitivity, the steering is really slow for this car. Also you can't full lock the steering if you have the throttle open past about 10-15%, but if you lift the throttle, the car will suddenly turn. It's like they're trying to simulate understeer but also want the front tires to maintain grip. Just feels really awkward though. Nothing like understeer in RL
This one was pretty hard tidgy, thanks to your ghost I improved by an entire second and I just did a 1:00.940
Abusing the dirt like you did at where you did kinda fucked up my lap a bit because I’m on controller and also taking the exits of most corners on 4th gear really helped with traction
Also TC on 1 is also not really intrusive on this car so if anyone’s struggling with lower gears or traction while steering you should use it
My first lap was a 1:02.2XX, then I got a 1:01.7 then I did a 1:01.2, I went off to do the Gr.1 race at road atlanta for a bit of practice as well and when I came back in 30 minutes the gold time had moved by 0.3 seconds so I tried again and and got a sub 1:01

Ahh this track, it divides players into two groups, people that can look around corners, and me.. i hate it!
I drove like 2000 kilometers on this track back when there was the time trial with the porsche hybrid... since then I actually like this track 😂
@@Targon999 i just miss the corners.. ALL THE TIME :)
@@3k3k3 do you use a pad or a wheel? With my old wheel I had massive problems on that track, then I got a fanatec and the corners got a LOT easier
@@Targon999 Pad, please don't hurt me, the problem is not having visual clues, that takes so much more time to learn a track and even longer to master it :)
@@3k3k3 no problem at all, in fact I found that some challenges are easier to do with a pad, like the ferrari dino or anything that has to do with drifting
This one is one of those that are particularly hard if you drive on a controller using X and Square as acceleration and braking, and with the limitation of autoshift. Only manage a good silver time at the moment and that is already a top 5% ranking......
Please explain why u would use x as acceleration over using the right stick..
@@Farma_D Limited skills basically. I can manage fractional input on the left stick with my left thumb but not so simultaneously with my right for the throttle. Trigger buttons are also out of the question for the same reason. The only thing I haven't tried is the steering wheel but my small Asian room does not allow me to use it... I know for some people it's a matter of practice, and I believe so for myself too (at least I get a decent time over 90% of the players), but there's a difference in how much time each person can spend on games unfortunately.
I remember when this was an event and it was difficult. You make it look so easy on pad (I'm on t150 wheel & PS4) so fair play. Don't think I'll be able to follow you on this one so rank hard is accurate
this car need to be brave to handle and full send in this track
Yeah nah, I couldn't get to grips with this last time round and nothing is different this time! 😂
-0.400 from gold with no help.. and the track is kinda new for me , so in half an hour managed just that :D

I managed a 1:01.470 before i saw this vid so I'm going to try these tips to see if i improve

It's definitely a toughy... Currently at a 101.419 after almost 350 miles of driving. Had a 101.2xx and it just turned red on me at the end of the lap by like a pixel. 😢
This one is HARD! I usually get a time good enough for gold in an hour or two. These two however took me a full day and blisters on my fingers. I don't remember the last time I struggled this much for a lap time challenge... Now 1:00.7xx and 1:00.0xx, please let these time be quick enough.

Can only manage a 1:02:6 no matter how hard I try. Doesn’t seem to grip round the first corner at all no matter how hard I steer. 2nd corner I cannot nail. That’s where I lose all my time. Give up 😂
Im currently 1300th in the leaderboard and still half a tenth off of gold what the hell

@@AdjointGaming That is right, it doesn't matter as it's BoP'd. Any upgrades on your own car are taken off.

Yes, you're right. I think the only difference compared to last time is that you're driving on Racing Softs instead of Racing Hards

Ye, 2 new time trials this week
Why is it so hard? I only managed to do 1:03:670.
The car is really fast and there are 3 corners followed by long full throttle sections, messing one up is enough to cause a lot of time lost. Aim first section under 22 second, then under 45 second for the next one if you wanna practice by sections and looking for gold.
i made a video on this time trial thats scheduled for 4:00pm CDT (my local time) and i BARELY got silver and a sub 1:02

It is watered down for sure as it doesn't have the jet engine or whatever that car had, that thing was ridiculous haha.

This trial is a$$. I'm still 0.7 off Gold and cant improve.
This is a Bullshit Time Trial, Instead the Difficulty is "Very Hard" it should be like "Hell Death Hard" Instead. Because PB is being an Asshole for Making the most Unfair and Extremely Frustrating Time Trial in the Game
I mean I can't disagree with that 😂😂, especially as all the top top drivers are on it practicing for the GTWS so the time has nose dived
@@tidgney Yeah Man they make the Gold time Target much Harder everytime they improve their Laptime, But now I Clocked 1:00.517 with the PS4 Controller which hopefully its enough to reach The Gold Time and yeah my Wrist hurt after many Hours of Attempt and Misery.
