🌞 Thank you Kyle! Preparing as a tour leader for taking a Swedish hiking group Blairgrowrie. We will stay for a week and just hit the Berry season. So inspired by your video! 🌞Aviaja
Blairgowrie and Highland Perthshire is such an underrated place, the walk along the Rivers Tummel in Pitlochry, Tay in Perth and Ericht in Blairgowrie are beautiful
Heya Tyler! Thanks for dropping by and for watching. It means alot. I agree with you, it really is an underrated place. What river walk is your favourite?
Thanks so much for making this video focusing on Blairgowrie. My grandfather, Alexander Davidson, sang tenor in the Presbyterian church choir in Blairgowrie before he left for Canada in 1904. His father had a bakery in Kirkmichael Parish. I have few particulars, only that they were Davidsons in Perthshire, and Blairgowrie has always held an imagined place in my memory. 💐
We lived in Glenshee for the last 13 years before moving back to Northern Ireland a few months ago. We knew Ashleigh very well, in fact he actually produced a new tweed for us to be made into place mats etc, one that reflected the berry colours which Blair is famous for.
That’s wonderful! 😁 Ashleigh can spin a good tweed for sure. It’s amazing that the Blair berries tweed can live on over in Ireland. Great to hear from you 😊
@@ThisIsKylesLife I love the one over the wellmeadow. It's so cool to see it from that angle. That whole montage at the beginning with the drone shots and music was stunning as well.
Venator was it the birds eye drone shot flying upwards revealing the ‘cross’ of the Wellmeadow? Hmmm... my favourite drone shot was flying towards the castle on the hill with the river in the distance.
Hiya! :D Lovely to read your comment. Ah the great migration to the states. I heard many also continued north into Canada. Did any of your family make it that far north?
@@ThisIsKylesLife My branch came to the South, where we are now. They travelled with one of Daniel Boone's parties into Kentucky/Ohio River valley and spent some generations, there then my GGF came to Mississippi, where all of the other branches of my family came (they' all came in the 17th and 18th centuries from different parts of Britain).
Awesome video Kyle. As an Australian with Scottish ancestry I will definitely come and visit Blairgowrie when international travel is allowed again. :)
Cheers, Luke! You’ll enjoy exploring Blairgowrie for sure. PS. I wrote about this comment on FB - “The beautiful part about having an Australian, Kiwi, American, and Canadian audience is that we’re able to share our beautiful town, Blairgowrie, with those at the other side of our world. Especially with those whom have never, ever heard of the local people who make this the magical place we come to discover, until now.” “Thank you to our fellow Aussie, Luke for his lovely comment on Episode One of our Discover Scotland Series.❤️”

A branch of my family, the Gilruths, came from Blairgowrie to America in the early 1700's. Hope to see this soon.
