With the guidance of experts like Dr. Rosansky, we aspire to demystify CKD, making the path towards improved kidney health an attainable and enlightened journey.
Here are some of the blood pressure medications Dr. Rosansky spoke about to help with reducing protein in urine (proteinuria or albuminuria):
    1. ACE Inhibitors: ACE inhibitors work by blocking the action of the enzyme responsible for the production of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels and increases blood pressure. Some common ACE inhibitors include:
    Benazepril (Lotensin)
    Captopril (Capoten)
    Enalapril (Vasotec)
    Fosinopril (Monopril)
    Lisinopril (Prinivil, Zestril)
    Quinapril (Accupril)
    Ramipril (Altace)
    2. ARBs: ARBs block the action of angiotensin II by preventing it from binding to its receptor. This helps relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure. Some common ARBs include:
    Candesartan (Atacand)
    Irbesartan (Avapro)
    Losartan (Cozaar)
    Olmesartan (Benicar)
    Telmisartan (Micardis)
    Valsartan (Diovan)
    3. SGLT-2 Inhibitors:
    Canagliflozin (Invokana)
    Dapagliflozin (Farxiga)
    Empagliflozin (Jardiance)
    Ertugliflozin (Steglatro)
    Sotagliflozin (Zynquista)
    4. GLP1 agonists:
    Dulaglutide (Trulicity)
    Exenatide extended release (Bydureon BCISE)
    Exenatide (Byetta)
    Semaglutide (Ozempic)
    Liraglutide (Victoza, Saxenda)
    Lixisenatide (Adlyxin)
    Semaglutide (Rybelsus)
    5. Aldosterone receptor antagonists:
    Eplerenone (Inspra)
    Spirinolactone (Aldactone)
    Finerenone (Kerendia)

Dr Rosanski and Dadvice James, Thank you so much.❤❤❤ Over this past year, following your advises, my EGFR has gone from 30s and 40s up to 97. All my CBC labs are great finally! Also, I have gotten my pre-diabetic sugar and Albumin to Creatin levels in normal range. I eat NO sugar, carbs, starches, gluten, alcohol, fast foods, or processed foods for 12 months nearly. I lost from 150 to 125 pounds. My Blood pressure has gone from 203/99 with 2 meds, down to consistent 125/76 with Lisinopril (my ACE). I eat a totally different plant based protein diet thanks to you both, and Dietician Jen Hernandez. I also found where my giant 7mm kidney stones were coming from Oxalates and (calcium not going to my bones causing ostioprosis) and have not had a stone in 12 months! Also, i now drink 3 fluid liters of water per day. My Nepherologist said you are great for me. I LOVE YOU BOTH. Thank you. I believe you have slowed my CKD significantly. Sadly i lost my left kidney before finding and following you both. Great Team you make. ❤

My bp was hitting 220/165 with kidney failure. I was on Losartan that wasn't helping. I quit taking bp meds against my doctor's wishes. It is now 117/75 steady. I also had afib that has since went away. I noticed you cut out most of the inflammatory foods. Another one to consider is cutting out high FODMAPS. I am full of kidney stones. Just passed an 8mm sized with the help of flomax, but have a 7mm stubborn stone. Found out that stuck stones can cause ckd. I have moderate hydronephrosis in my left kidney due to kidney stones. I am autoimmune though which isn't helping.

l was diagnosed with stage 1 a year ago , my egfr was normal but l had protein in my urine for a year but l cured myself and l now have normal urine protein and my doctor says l no longer have kidney disease, l used to eat lots of dairy food, milk, youhurt , icecream cheese, l totally gave up all dairy food and instead had a plant base diet, with almond milk and oat milk and coconut bases youhurt and soy incream, totally stopping all dairy and l also stopped red meat and it seems to have worked and l no longer have protein in my urine. lm starting to think its not normal for humans to have lots of dairy food and it does the body and kidneys harm

Interesting to note. I went on the carnivore diet 1 month ago. No carbs, no veggies, high fat. I had a blood test 2 months ago and another today. I had been adhering to the vegetable protein approach and taking the prescribed meds. No noticeable progression or improvement for 2 years. Last blood test showed creatinine at 185. Today it is 163, A drop of 22 points. My eGFR was 38. Today it is 45. A huge 7% improvement. Blood glucose dropped from 106 to 95. Dropped 10 pounds in the process. This in only 1 month! All other markers had slight improvement as well. Any comments?

Anyway, I I’ve had PVD for 30 years and hanging in there but also have diabetes type 2 . I have been taking Losartan and just recently am taking Farxiga. Am I going to die of heart disease? • @DADVICETV
      @DADVICETV  8 місяців тому +2

I would be concerned if it continued to decline - it may bounce around between 39 and 43 which would be considered stable. Make sure to check for protein in your urine - Dr Ro talks about medications to reduce that and the importance of watching it.

      …IMHO i think:
      1) it’s a simple coincidence without cause-effect relation with Dapaglflozin ( Forxiga)…or maybe only temporary
      2) - you were not well hydrated when checked ( if you did only once)
3)- SGLT2 are way long under scientific trials considered safe and effective
      4) every person is different and can react different to the same drug
      5) I ‘m sure everything will gonna be alright with you 👍🤗
