Claudia is such a beautiful woman and this representation of her makes her look like a geek. It doesn't look like her. How could they do such a bad job? I love her image as a model, and she was probably my biggest inspiration in the '90's because she's German like me, she was a nerd in school like me, lanky and tall like me, had poor self esteem like me, and yet found her strength and her confidence, and became successful and fabulous and admired by all. Pooh on those school bullies! I took modelling lessons because of her. So I am really upset by the Barbie of her. Claudine also happened to be my middle name, so you can see how she meant a lot to me.

Awwwww Arjen, I feel your pain, Mattel let us and Claudia down with her doll for sure, she gave RL Barbie Supermodel vibes throughout her modelling career she was the Barbie girl of the 90's, her doll should have been far better than this! I wanted to get one but upon seeing pictures online I became disappointed that my fave Supermodel got done dirty like this. I do remember Claudia mentioning that she has small hollow eyes and that her makeup was always focused on enhancing them to stand out more. However you brought her to life in your makeover well done she's now serving looks on the glittering runway of your pastel Kingdom. Keep up the good work. ❤🤗✌❤
It’s not an “articulated model muse body”, she is using a Pivotal body, which in my opinion es the best body for adult collectors. I’m just in love with how thin it is and the articulation is not ugly as in the MTM bodies.

Technically you're all correct, this is an articulated version of the Model Muse body, we call the more simplistic articulation 'Pivotal', and this body is what we'd call the 'Pivotal' or the 'Pivotal Collector' body, and call the same articulation on a play-line body 'Pivotal Play-line' or 'Pivotal Fashionistas' since the new bodies with Pivotal articulation have the 'Fashionistas' torso with the sculpted underwear.

First thing i noticed was her lovely hairstyle and the arrangement you did absolutely removed that pumpkin head look she had originally. What a beautiful transformation. In my opinion their playline dolls such as looks, rewinds, etc have better quality than these so called " collector" dolls. I'm not into celebrity dolls at all, but your makeover of her was lovely. 😊
Claudia Schiffer doll looks very pretty in theorange, pink, green dress. I think I like the orange, pink, green on her more so than the blue. She looks sophisticated in that dress. (I need that dress- where did you buy it????) You did a great make over on her!

I bought this doll for her dress and for me I love the dress and I had no problem getting the dress on my original made to move dolls. I had the doll stand in my art room for a while to see if I was keeping her and she is now for sale. I love the box too but I love the color scheme

As a Bratz collector & huge fan of Versace, the Claudia doll collab with Mattel actually made me consider getting her. I def. think they could of done so much more in terms of quality control & extra detail to make her feel more premium which is what she deserved. I saw in another collector’s review that their doll was sadly pretty bald in the back of her head. On a side note, the 90’s gold dress version of Claudia you mentioned that Mattel teased looks SO much like the dress Bratz used for Yasmin in their “Cult Gaia” collector doll. Literally the same dress but in silver!
I’m a 90’s supermodel fan and this is not what I think of when I think Claudia. I think of Claudia as a Chanel girly above anything. That wasn’t even an iconic Versace collection, something from 1990-92 would’ve been amazing. That all being said, the makeover were SO lovely, and the looks and hair suited her 100x more.
Looks Simone looks more like a high fashion top model than this one, which is supposed to be an actual supermodel. Actually, a lot of the Looks dolls look more model like.

Very sad they didn't give Claudia the love she deserves. You did a fantastic job and that hairstyle did the trick for her giant forehead. It looks very cute. I love the Christie dress on her but my favorite was the pink princess look. I didn't love the peaches and cream simply because, to me, it was obvious that the bust in the dress was way too big for her. Those 80s dolls had much larger busts that today's dolls.

There are two versions of hers, the Worldwide & the US one, it appears they made 5,000 of hers for the US and 1,000 of hers for the rest of the world, they even have different face-ups, where one has blue, sparkly eye shadow and the other one has a brown smokey eye, not sure which has what, but judging from their certificates Mattel Creations seems to have ended up sending you the US one, and she appears to have the blue eye shadow...
You never ever do a "burn" video. The quality of the doll head to toe was obviously a disappointment to many collectors. Your glow up did save her from mediocracy. My favorite was the pink look only because the Christie look is so iconically hers in my mind. Come on Mattel, you made millions on the movie alone, step up the quality! I wish I could hire you to do my dolls hair!

The gold dress was a Versace gown, too. Not a Barbie fan, but a huge Claudia fan. Disappointed this doll didn't look like the ones they made for her 50th birthday.
You did an amazing job with the makeover ❤ but you’re completely right…there’s something really weird about her eyes. When you put her besides the amazing teen skipper wow! 😅 I much prefer bigger and more doll-like eyes (like teen Skipper or the gold claudia with the crimp hair) and the fact that you can’t even use her stand … 😢
I believe it is 1000 for US plus 5000 for the rest of the world. So there should be 6000 released in total. At least I think I heard this expanation already by some previous doll. Claudia also comes with two different make-up, one has pearl eye shadow, the other kind of brown. Not sure if that corresponds to the US/world releases though.
That is the exact same info I've come across, but judging from the certificates it's the other way around, they made 5,000 for the US and only but 1,000 for the rest of the world(!!!). And it appears the US doll ended up with the blue sparkly eye shadow.

Ikr, I don't understand why mattel won't give their celebrity collector dolls the right body proportion anymore. The dolls are made for adult collectors, so why not give the doll fuller chest. The doll looked kinda flat in the blue dress while the picture of the real person looked very curvy. I remember back in the days when they made the J.Lo doll, they made sure to give the doll those big latina hips that J.Lo had. But now they are being cheap and gives the doll one of their standard bodies.
The doll was a disappointment when a got it from the mail a couple weeks ago. Nothing like their post on IG as advertised especially the hair. Including the dress - it is not cut as a circle skirt, only gathered from a straight panel. I was so looking forward to to it cuz I am a supermodel fan before anything else. But your version redo Is definitely so much better which gives me hope. Thank you

This doll could and should have been so amazing but it's just a hot mess. She is platinum (or? why 5000 dolls?) and I would expect so much better quality, the dress looks cheap (how would Versace permit this badly made dress?), her face is off, it's just a sloppy job! I totally agree with all you said. Having said all that though, you made her look like the supermodel she is! AMAZING! 🤩❤
The issue with her is the eyes, if you look at the OOAK they're much bigger with an actual expression this one looks blunt to me. The face sculpt is everything, too bad they didn't do it like the ooak.

Mattel did a terrible job with this doll. The dress is ill fitting and poorly constructed, and the face paint is just awful!

Glad I passed on this and enjoy passing on Mattel’s failures because of quality control. You called it honey. I love seeing Claudia in the recent Versace spring summer fashion show in the lime green and silver check gown. OMG! Metallic blue Barbie Looks #1 open toe buckle strap high heel sandals! Give it to me! The dress is a lovely blue.

As a Bratz collector & huge fan of Versace, the Claudia doll collab with Mattel actually made me consider getting her. I def. think they could of done so much more in terms of quality control & extra detail to make her feel more premium which is what she deserved. I saw in another collector’s review that their doll was sadly pretty bald in the back of her head.
On a side note, the 90’s gold dress version of Claudia you mentioned that Mattel teased looks SO much like the dress Bratz used for Yasmin in their “Cult Gaia” collector doll. Literally the same dress but in silver!

I’m a 90’s supermodel fan and this is not what I think of when I think Claudia. I think of Claudia as a Chanel girly above anything. That wasn’t even an iconic Versace collection, something from 1990-92 would’ve been amazing. That all being said, the makeover were SO lovely, and the looks and hair suited her 100x more.
I think it was picked because Mattel could go cheap on the construction.
I know 🙈 they could have picked so many other TRUE iconic looks.. ugh..

Very sad they didn't give Claudia the love she deserves. You did a fantastic job and that hairstyle did the trick for her giant forehead. It looks very cute. I love the Christie dress on her but my favorite was the pink princess look. I didn't love the peaches and cream simply because, to me, it was obvious that the bust in the dress was way too big for her. Those 80s dolls had much larger busts that today's dolls.

There are two versions of hers, the Worldwide & the US one, it appears they made 5,000 of hers for the US and 1,000 of hers for the rest of the world, they even have different face-ups, where one has blue, sparkly eye shadow and the other one has a brown smokey eye, not sure which has what, but judging from their certificates Mattel Creations seems to have ended up sending you the US one, and she appears to have the blue eye shadow...

You never ever do a "burn" video. The quality of the doll head to toe was obviously a disappointment to many collectors. Your glow up did save her from mediocracy. My favorite was the pink look only because the Christie look is so iconically hers in my mind. Come on Mattel, you made millions on the movie alone, step up the quality! I wish I could hire you to do my dolls hair!

I'm on the fence because, of her teeth. I look the color of her gown but, I think that when Barbie has a gown, she should come with a straddle stand. The Christie gown was my favorite!

The gold dress was a Versace gown, too. Not a Barbie fan, but a huge Claudia fan. Disappointed this doll didn't look like the ones they made for her 50th birthday.

I believe it is 1000 for US plus 5000 for the rest of the world. So there should be 6000 released in total. At least I think I heard this expanation already by some previous doll. Claudia also comes with two different make-up, one has pearl eye shadow, the other kind of brown. Not sure if that corresponds to the US/world releases though.
That is the exact same info I've come across, but judging from the certificates it's the other way around, they made 5,000 for the US and only but 1,000 for the rest of the world(!!!). And it appears the US doll ended up with the blue sparkly eye shadow.

Ikr, I don't understand why mattel won't give their celebrity collector dolls the right body proportion anymore. The dolls are made for adult collectors, so why not give the doll fuller chest. The doll looked kinda flat in the blue dress while the picture of the real person looked very curvy.
I remember back in the days when they made the J.Lo doll, they made sure to give the doll those big latina hips that J.Lo had. But now they are being cheap and gives the doll one of their standard bodies.

The doll was a disappointment when a got it from the mail a couple weeks ago. Nothing like their post on IG as advertised especially the hair. Including the dress - it is not cut as a circle skirt, only gathered from a straight panel. I was so looking forward to to it cuz I am a supermodel fan before anything else. But your version redo

This doll could and should have been so amazing but it's just a hot mess. She is platinum (or? why 5000 dolls?) and I would expect so much better quality, the dress looks cheap (how would Versace permit this badly made dress?), her face is off, it's just a sloppy job! I totally agree with all you said. Having said all that though, you made her look like the supermodel she is! AMAZING! 🤩❤

The issue with her is the eyes, if you look at the OOAK they're much bigger with an actual expression this one looks blunt to me. The face sculpt is everything, too bad they didn't do it like the ooak.
