I've just ordered the SG1604 from Banggood and felt I was taking a bit of a punt as there we virtually no unboxings or reviews out anywhere.

Love these small scale car, two years ago I wouldn't have gave them a look but they've come up with some super cool stuff now which means you don't have to go 8s to have some good fun

The "Hoonitruck" looks best alike... The "Hoonicorn" looks too much like a generic Mustang.
The k989 is a terrible car I regret that purchase, theses cars look good though

I’ve been waiting to pull the trigger since I first saw the “mini Infraction” Thanks for showing them Phil, followed your link and got one on the way before I even finished the video. Coincidentally I was running some crawlers with my little one at the park today and met a guy that just built a 1/16 scale indoor drift course.
It seems this was meant to be then! Will be awesome on a proper drift track

This looks like it would be so much fun for a smaller space. Our driveway is gravel and I have the garage or a parking lot. Looks like it did really well on asphalt! The gyro is awesome feature too! Just getting back into the hobby this is the first one I've seen with this! Would make sliding SO much easier. Wish I had the gyro on my HPI Micro Rs4 back when I had it. Would have made controlling it way easier!

They drive really well with the normal tyres. I've just converted one to Brushless... video soon

You can find a roller and take it from there. I found a used Infraction needing only 15 minutes of work to get running for 200 bucks. Deals are out there! You’ll get one if you look hard enough and ask around

That is a little badass RC and I have to have it. The problem is I got a HPI Wheely King for Christmas LOL. But I love my Willie King I would never trade it for anything. still that was a drift truck with gyro 4 under a hundred. LOL great video great looking cars in my opinion a must buy

Three point switch on 5he sg1604 is for speed selection. Sure I'm not the first one to say this but it's helpful to know. If you have the udrc version, its a different button press combination to change speed but it is still possible

I think the top speed is good for the size of these models. Usually i prefer higher top speed , but because is a small scale model , the top speed is perfect i must say, it's in the controllable side. Of course you can make it faster, but as a stock it's perfect. Also if you like the diy, buy 18650 or 21700 li-on batteries ,that are good for electronic cigaretes, because these batteries have more punch and power and longer run times because of the higher mah, and the car will drive more powerfull. Definitely i would buy 2 e-cig high amp batteries as a first upgrade, just to see if there any difference, they are not expensive.
Both of these definitely take styling cues from Ken blocks hoonitruck AND hoonicorn just like arrma did. I'm a fan of the styling though. I love my infraction V2. I love the look of the felony also but getting rear tires is a PIA... Still

Can anyone tell me what are the best and fastest rpm 180,380,390 little brushed motors? So far I've found a 180 6v 32,000rpm. UA-cam search is terrible

I had a look at my rx/esc out the case and it looks like the electronics are covered in conformal coating so all good if it gets wet

You actually don't have to change out all of your electronics to upgrade the servo on the 5 wire systems. You can turn any servo into a 5 wire servo by simply removing the circuit board. Then 2 of the wires come from the motor and the other 3 from the potentiometer. The 5 wire systems just have the servo control unit built into the receiver instead of mounted in the servo.
Awesome, that's good to know. I've pulled all the stuff out one of them and have a brushless system in there now. Hopefully get a test drive this week

Drifts well once you get the hang of it... some even find it easier without the gyro on
Are these on an HBX base like the SG160# trucks? If so I imagine they'll be pretty durable for onroad use.
