Nice work but the construction is the most simple part. Would have liked to hear about the hard part, wood selection, stability, grain direction and how the door is holding up in use, is it still flat?
I don’t know if you will see this but I was a painter for years and something that might make spraying more comfortable for you is instead of having the line in front of you while spraying, put it behind you and hold the excess line with your left hand. (The line should be right at your belt line) it helps keep the line from snagging on anything and helps prevent it from getting too much sag and hitting the project. Idk if you would enjoy that but it’s worth a test run if you run into those issues. I love the door, could something like this work as an exterior door with the right finish?
So... that's how the pros do it. Now that I know, I just need the tools and skills you have and it will be a piece of cake. No kidding anymore: congratulations on this demonstration of professionalism -starting by the tidiness of your woodshop- and, of course, the beauty of your result. Your video not only shows how to build a door, but how someone anyone would like to hire works.
Absolutely love it!! I want to learn to custom build my own doors as well I am a greenhorn could you please list the power tools you used? I would greatly appreciate it thank you so much 🙏😊
I'd be curious how much all the wood cost, and the time to make it? I am sure this is some heavy serious quality door but curious if the custom $1200 or so vs time + cost for this make sense or not?
great saw, why didn't you get the mathing shaper with it? The dadoing of the rails and styles looked a bit unsafe to me especially when it came to the long parts. A shaper with a power feeder would make short work of that! You could even use a counter profile knife and not need any of those tenons!
Trust me when I say this. Use something between the wood and your hands when using that panel shaper. A friend of mine mangled his hand really badly on one. He's a cabinet maker with over 20 years experience. Made thousands of panels. One day, about a year ago, the panel shot out from under his hand and his hand went right into the bit. I saw pictures. His hand looked like a pile of ground beef.
I notice most wood doors are laminated for stability? Will a solid wood door like yours have a problem with warping the long way? Thinking of building shaker doors myself. Also is dowel or domino in each joint for strength or for alignment? Thank You
I have a door like this for my sons bed room and he completely broke the bottom left panel is there a way to repair the door or should I buy a new door ?
My new K700S is sitting on a container ship off the coast of California. And with this back log of ships, it could be there awhile. Love the videos. Thx
Yes I made it myself. I made the holes using the parf guide system. Woodpecker also sells a gig to makes holes in mft table now. Yep the mft tables that you can buy are way too small and so flimsy.

I would have liked to hear how he kept so calm during the glue up, which surely must have taken longer than he wished.
I'm glad to see you back to posting videos. Presumably, your eye surgery went well.
Are there specs or blueprints for the door made?

My door never warped but the wood was really dry. Yes dowels for alignment and strength
Great job. Congrats. What product did you use (minute 9:00)?
How thick is the door? How deep and wide did you do the dado cuts? Very interested in the math behind this. I am about to set forth on my own door.
Great job 💯 what kind of wood did you buy for this project?
Great work as always
Thank You
What kind of HP router do you have to make that raised panel cut in 1 pass?
Incredible workmanship. Did you build that MFT work bench?
What was that blade on the table saw how long did this take to make and how much was the material cost?
I have a door like this for my sons bed room and he completely broke the bottom left panel is there a way to repair the door or should I buy a new door ?
Probably buy a new door
Where did you find the lumber for this?
shoot the video from the side--flat view so we can see the pieces going together; end on is not there
Nice job.

I feel your pain. And thank you
Beautiful !
That a Felder? Nice job.
Yes it’s a Felder K700S. And thank you
Very good👍👍👍💪
Thank You
lo que me llama la atención es que solo lleva dos pernos
Info please on that giant MFT, did you make it yourself? I've wanted a MFT but they seem so small.

@@frenchriversprings Thanks, I was looking at the parf system.
What is MFT!? Not everyone knows your secret acronyms!
@@markw3598 Not my acronym it belongs to Festool. Give it a google.
Very Nice!
Thank You
The Camera Angle!!!
Nice 👍
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Seriously? You took the video end on so we couldn't see what you were doing?
Does nail in it
The angel of the camera didn’t show anything
Spinoffs TT
Tres bonne exécution. Mais le design est nul.. Le résultat est mauvais . C'est laid. Le design est un métier....il aurait fallu investir en création.
This is a good video made terrible without any real information. You have left out 90% of the work invested to make the video without explanations.
