……so many people are going through this. I understand….your heart was always pure….your blessing is on your journey… be you and live dancing to your own drums!
You can go work retail. Geoffrey Owens from The Cosby Show worked at Trader Joe’s until things got back right. I know it’s hard, humility is a tough lesson. I’ve been humbled before. I have 2 degrees, lost my job and family and took a job boxing bleach so I wouldn’t be homeless. I was weeks away from it. Also, lost my truck during that time.
@FunkyD50 The problem is some of these Hollywood actors live above their means. My mom always told me if you make $10 an hour and if you get another job making 20$ still live like you are making $10 an hour! I have 2 used cars that are paid for and my home is paid for also because I knew how to live within or even under my means!
I understand what you're saying, but I think a lot of people takes other people's Journey personal and get offended when they say something that isn't aligned with what we feel like what we should be doing. And heck he's 65, I'm more than sure he doesn't have the capacity for that. Heck I retired from retail after a few years. He is not Geoffrey Owens, and his purpose is not to work in retail, and that's fine. He is an artist so he probably needs to feel fulfilled and he's probably has done enough of the ground work to exhaustion and doesn't have the capability to do it anymore. He doesn't even need to work in retail, he is an established actor with lots of talent and he's respected, all he needs to do is find a way to translate his talents to the now.
@@SirDavePart of your purpose may be in a specific field or talent, but the other part is to meet your financial obligations (e.g., bills, food, etc.). Doesn't matter how famous or talented someone was or is. Bills must be taken care of.

From another interview it sounded as though the cast made him their spokesperson. The showrunners fired him and the rest of the cast let it happen. So I don’t think he and Latifah have really been in contact.
@@chichip2510please shut the hell up. Yall swear every black person that’s rich and successful sold out to someone. Queen Latifahs success can be directly tied to the fact that she owns her own production company, which produced most of the films you have seen her in and even the show she’s on now The Equalizer. She’s not just making money in front of the screen she’s making money behind the screen as well. That’s not selling out that’s being a smart business woman which she has been since the beginning of career. Black people don’t have to sell out for success sometimes we can just be smart.
@@alldoodlesmatter6095exactly! She walked into Acting with money from her Rap career. The Queen didn't need to sell out. Also, because she's crazy beautiful, makeup companies pursued her for commercials.
No. TC personal characteristics r not in line with Tyler Perry’s personality or mindset standards. TC has class, morals, dignity and respect and there it is.
TC seems like a good dude. Much respect in you looking out for your mom. Im positive shes very proud to have you as a son. Your blessings are ahead of you my friend and hope to see you soon on the stage , in film, and again on our tv screens!
I love this guy, but this is the problem with the industry. People get a little taste of being able to pay their bills with their art and when they can’t, they don’t feel like they can go back into the regular world for fear of embarrassment. I’m not saying anyone should dream of having a job at target but save your money and work. Whatever job helps you pay the bills while you work on your craft is a blessing, not a detriment. I commend him for going on his own path, but a lot of people will find that harder to do than a 9 to 5. There’s so many people not doing well healthwise and financially behind-the-scenes, it’s ridiculous.
Well said. When you loss everything,no job is off the table-NONE. So many go thru this ( losing everything ) then have to start over. And I agree with everything you said too.
I didn't take it that way. I took it as he wanted to reground himself in HIS PURPOSE. So he didn't want to tuck his tail and settle. I can respect that. Everyone has a right to create their own way. His words didn't offend me because nothing he said about himself and his journey was offensive.
Rewatched the series more than once in the last decade. A lot of shows from back then didn't age well, but Living Single is so good. The nostalgia is real, the social commentary is still relevant in every way. And Queen Latifah reigns supreme of course. His character was so on point, so smooth, so handsome, so well done. He brought a profound dignity at all times, even when he was doing comedic scenes. Hes the whole package. Sad to hear he had a rough time with his career. He deserves better and more.
I like that interview. Very insightful and reflective on a brotha who lost everything and held it down for his mom when she needed him most as she transitioned. Much love 👊🏾

TC Carson is too talented to NOT be in a mid-to-major production somewhere. Why is he not featured in 50 Cent's, Tyler Perry, or Spike Lee's productions?
Maybe he should reach out to Tyler Perry or even think about teaching acting with his credentials and resume he could easily be an acting instructor/professor at a college or university and still pursue acting jobs. Done and done.
A lot of people don't want to be involved with T.P. And there's a reason behind that. He makes money. But, his values & morals are sometimes suspect. Remember, "All money ain't good money."😉

Makes me glad that along with Final Destination 2, he landed the role of Kratos in the early God Of War games. His performance as Kratos is the staple of a gaming generation. One of the issues is many don't know how to leverage the millions they make while in the industry. ……so many people are going through this. I understand….your heart was always pure….your blessing is on your journey… be you and live dancing to your own drums!
He looks great. I hope he found his heart desires ❤🙏🏽🙏🏽
Entertainment is a tough biz. So many stories like this.
@FunkyD50
The problem is some of these Hollywood actors live above their means.
@@SirDave Great point, my brother.
@@SirDavePart of your purpose may be in a specific field or talent, but the other part is to meet your financial obligations (e.g., bills, food, etc.). Doesn't matter how famous or talented someone was or is. Bills must be taken care of.
look good for 65yo
He looks great I hope that things look up for him…. I always enjoyed watching him on tv! His break will come again! Blessings ❤
Alonso Robierto found himself in similar circumstances, working at Best Buy somebody in the industry heard of it and hired him and I think he now has at least part time work.
@@donnadupree6731 Yes, I heard and saw that about Alfonso…. We sure have learned a lot about how it is to be an actor/actress! They do it because they love it!
“I am comfortable with the journey”. Great and truly genuine answer.
Kyle you are so talented
his name isnt kyle
He was always one of my favorite characters on living single. I sense a profound peace upon him. I pray that he finds much success on his journey. It’s refreshing to see an actor so grounded, intelligent, and classy.
Wow.....Doesn't TC get residual income from the 'Living Single' episodes ?
The residuals are probably not enough to live on the show ended almost 30 years ago and it lessens over the years.
Residuals for Kratos?
Talented brother. Best wishes to him and all of his endeavors.
TC, just a thought, why not reach out to your sister in the struggle Queen Latifah and see if she could get you a few cameo appearances on her series!
Absolutely
Good thought, however I don't think he sold out to Hollyweird like Queen and the other actors on the show did.
I wonder if they're even close?
He was so important to that show! It would not have been the same without him. Brilliant even!!!! I always hoped to see him in other shows and movies!
Tyler Perry should hire this man for something now!
He's too good for Tyler perry. He doesn't deserve him.
TC Carson is too dignified for Tyler Perry.
Then Tyler would try to put TC in a dress 👗, that’s ‘Hellywood’ for you
No. TC personal characteristics r not in line with Tyler Perry’s personality or mindset standards. TC has class, morals, dignity and respect and there it is.
Absolutely Not
TC seems like a good dude. Much respect in you looking out for your mom. Im positive shes very proud to have you as a son. Your blessings are ahead of you my friend and hope to see you soon on the stage , in film, and again on our tv screens!
Wishing wealth and prosperity on this man. ❤
Always loved his acting . I especially loved to hear him sing’My Funny Valentine’
Love your comment & we all have walked some of the same walks of life just like these celebrities.
I didn't take it that way. I took it as he wanted to reground himself in HIS PURPOSE. So he didn't want to tuck his tail and settle. I can respect that.
Everyone has a right to create their own way. His words didn't offend me because nothing he said about himself and his journey was offensive.
he had saved his money and used it to ensure his mother was comfortable.
Agreed
Rewatched the series more than once in the last decade. A lot of shows from back then didn't age well, but Living Single is so good. The nostalgia is real, the social commentary is still relevant in every way. And Queen Latifah reigns supreme of course. His character was so on point, so smooth, so handsome, so well done. He brought a profound dignity at all times, even when he was doing comedic scenes. Hes the whole package. Sad to hear he had a rough time with his career. He deserves better and more.
I love his character on Living Single! The show lost something after he left! It wasn’t the same! TC is very talented! Wishing him the best! 🙏🏽
I like that interview. Very insightful and reflective on a brotha who lost everything and held it down for his mom when she needed him most as she transitioned. Much love 👊🏾
🔥🔥🔥💣🎤
Some one get this too Tyler Perry....His Talent is NEEDED!!! Out Here 🤗🤗🤗
Top Notch Symposium! OUTSTANDING Guest!!! Love love love his character. Thx for THIS..... HIS..... highlight
I always loved his voice: his voice work as Kratos was everything
You are a still such a GORGEOUS and gentle man and I hope we can see you once again on camera and in films! I always loved your voice and wondered why you didn't sing more. I can understand why you feel the need to continue your journey and stay true to yourself. I really hope everything happens for you in your heart's desire.
Awesome interview
This brother needs a leading role in a movie. It's coming. When you take care of your mother, your life portal, it shall come to you, guaranteed. No matter what the challenge the victory SHALL BE YOURS. Life lessons have showed you your strengths and solidified your values. Continue to STAND STRONG for it's coming.
He is SOOOO talented. I hope things gets better (most people don't remember a movie he did called "Living Large" before Living Single - it is one of my favs of all time)
🤔Title is VERY misleading and if I were the guest - i would be a little upset with "C.H." using my story for click bate this way ..🤷🏾♂ I'm just sayin does reposting with this title serve ANOTHER purpose ❓
agree, he never considerate restaurant work. no one should give this channedl an interview with click bait title
I love to hear him sing. Beautiful voice
Very intelligent. Great actor. Need to be in other roles.
TC is all class, i’m really glad you had him on, and I’m really glad he decided to come on.
He should for sure do more voice over work documentary narration his voice is powerful AF….he can play a villain hero or just tell a story
TC, you’re blessed beyond belief for taking care of your mother🙏🏽❤️. Whatever you lost for dropping everything to take care of fher will be given back to you a thousand fold. We all loved your great acting skills, comedic timing and swag in Living Single 🎤‼️. You look great and we wish you much success and blessings in all your endeavors🙏🏽❤️❤️
TC Carson is too talented to NOT be in a mid-to-major production somewhere. Why is he not featured in 50 Cent's, Tyler Perry, or Spike Lee's productions?
"Committed to his craft and committed to his people." Yes, our King! God bless him.
Tyler Perry is a joke!
No all Tyler Perry does is exploit black people
@@bobbiking2123Absolutely
@@inezlewis8573 Facts. I hear you on that. He could still pursue being a professor at a university in their drama and acting department. He could still pursue acting jobs along with that.
The warmth, talent, and humor of this man is incredible. I had the pleasure of working with him in Indianapolis for a stage production of The Colored museum. I will always be a fan!
TC is a brilliant talent and has always used his talents to the fullest. He believes in his ability to the nth degree and that is something you cannot buy. #madrespect
I thought he did the voice of Kratos in the earlier God of War games? Talented brother.
I can't imagine him not working, I see a lawyer, professor, doctor hell he'd make a perfect Fredrick Douglas. He is very distinguished and poised. We should be seeing more of him for sure.❤
Y’all always see something that’s not there
@@KellyCute3000-me4hv yeah it's what I see in terms of characters. You're free to see nothing if you like it won't break the Internet.
100% on point
He should be an acting coach at julieard or something. Bet that would fulfill him. Passing on everything he knows
This man is so underrated. I really hope he bounces back
I thank God everyday that he did not let me follow my dreams of being an actress and a singer. Actors and singers struggle really hard in Hollywood. Nothing in life is secure! You never know how you're gonna end up. And some job is better than NO job cause bills have to be paid, need a place to live and need food on the table. Be blessed TC Carson.
Bro looking healthy af at 65.
He looks really good.
I enjoyed this interview... Keep up the good work... God Bless ❤️
He played his character to the “T”. He represented us black man the best way
Thank God, Jesus & Heaven that at the VERY LEAST, they DIDN'T even try to FORCE HIM to WEAR A FUCKING ASS DRESS simply because TC Carson HIMSELF wouldn't even PLAY THAT game with THEM either too as well okay @HebrewJerusalemBoy.
Thank you TC ❤
Nothing but respect and admiration for TC Carson!!!!!❤
He deserves to be up there with the greatests.
So much respect for this man. He's the realest. Wishing blessings on blessings for him. Tyler, Oprah, Shonda, grab this actor and put him in a role befitting his talent asap.
Makes me glad that along with Final Destination 2, he landed the role of Kratos in the early God Of War games. His performance as Kratos is the staple of a gaming generation. And when fans of the game found out that Kyle from Living Single was voicing one of their favorite video game heroes, the floodgates of nostalgia opened wide.
And then he became Kratos
Really?
@@ramire7heavenz252Yep, he’s the ORIGINAL Kratos.
@@ramire7heavenz252Yup for the first Games but went with another Guy (forgot his name) in the Reboot series
Christopher Judge is the voice of Kratos After Carson. I stopped playing after he left.

When I found out he voiced Kratos in the "God of War" games I was like..🤯🤯 Love this dude, he's extremely talented and it's sad Hollywood tried to take it away from him.
He is from Chicago Illinois USA ❤The LeClaire Courts Housing Authority...Keep Positive Energy 🎉
I feel this interview. Something about the journey
Damn shame how they do our people. So many of our heroes and icons die destitute or live in poverty after having made so many others rich and even wealthy. Blessings to this man, and may his feet be firmly planted on his path. Ase'
One of the issues is many don't know how to leverage the millions they make while in the industry. With every check and all the residuals, put just a small portion in places that will grow and pay you for LIFE.. If I were to make all that money, I would never have to work a day in my life. Just get financially educated.
Get the financial knowledge so we dont have to rely on what THEY do to our people. Build your own wealth and stop looking for other people to enrich you.
@@lemarcusbrown1708 Exactly! Cuz u can set yourself up making far less than that. You can't live financially for the moment cuz it will catch with u quicker than you realize too lol.
@@lemarcusbrown1708You would be shocked as to how much black actors actually take home.
He is an amazing actor, his voice alone gives me positive vibes. He should really consider doing live theater, I think he would be awesome on a live stage.
Why not work in a Target or a restaurant?..It can humble you..I loved how they tried to shame the guy from the Cosby Show, Eldin, for working at Trader Joe's.. That story got him acting gigs..work is work, and if it keeps a roof over your head, and your belly filled, what's the shame?…
Right! I see a J.O.B. as this; Just Omitting Bills. You use a J.O.B. as WORKING CAPITAL which means you use the funds from it as a tool and to get things done or to purchase what you need in order to advance your TRUE calling or career. - James D. Watkins, artistic director of PHOENIX PRODUCTIONS.
AGREED.
Yeah, that sure beats. Living in your friend's house trying to figure it out and enjoying the journey. Instead of becoming the journey. By being involved in the process and not sulking
Over not being famous any more. Tsssssss

I remember being home from school(17), my dad had the day off, we decided to watch movies and eat..a cool indie movie came on, and 30 minutes in tc was in a position with a gorgeous man..and my dad just froze and I did as well and the movie was so good artistically we kept watching in a weird silence. Afterwards several days afterward..we just said hey it's his art.
I grew up with someone who was in the business at a young age and was all on TV. Once he became a late teen, the gigs dried up. He eventually went to University of California, worked as a waiter, got a degree in film, and has been pretty successful working in movie production.
