      He isn't before his time, I think he is behind his time, imagine him in the 1970's? it would be perfect, 1990's wasn't his style anymore, it was the Hip Hop comedy generation, like Martin, Chris Tucker or Fresh Prince ua-cam.com/video/3Kh8xgNHhIQ/v-deo.html

    He paved the way for Jamie Foxx. Being a comedic actor AND crooner was a hard crossover. Even queen Latifah had a hard time but she was already an artist before acting.
    Tichina Arnold and Tisha Campbell were also great singers and comedic actresses.

      Eddie Murphy has had a solid music career, even as a comedian. Even more than Jamie Foxx. Eddie Murphy was a bonafide comic talent and actor who then released "Party All The Time" at the height of his fame, even reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1985-86. Also he put out some very good and versatile singles with Michael Jackson and "Red Light" with Snoop Lion (Snoop Dogg), during his reggae project. He's not super acclaimed but he still frequently records music.

    • @Microphonecheckher
      @Microphonecheckher 4 роки тому +4

      M j G I am aware of Eddie Murphy’s songs but I would not consider him vocally talented like the aforementioned actors.
      Also my use of “crooner” denotes more of a vocalist as opposed to a pop singer (as I would classify Eddie).

    I really wished the interviewer asked him more about his time on God of War for 10+ years, being Kratos and how he felt about his exit. Happened to another great voice actor named David Hayter who got replaced by Kiefer Sutherland for the iconic voice role of Snake in Metal Gear Solid (a move that is still divisive and ironically, the game in which he was replaced was not well received), so its not an uncommon thing but still messed up on so many levels so I would love to hear how he has dealt with it. He truly personified God of War for many years and despite Christopher Judge's incfedible performance, T. Carson still embodies who Kratos truly is.

    Ella Fitzgerald! My brother, that’s what I heard you pull from when you were singing, funny Valentines, your vocal gold pipes! I have nothing but the deep disrespect for you like I said before in my other comments on the other interviews did you did, stay strong, my brother and I’m glad you still getting paid for the royalties from living single and we continue to watch him respect for you because you are a class Act! and I also heard Nat King Cole with that soulful voice, inviting sultry voice but when you sing, you go back to the old school . Your voice is an instrument, smooth. I understood the term the gardening tube when you plow using the hole it’s a gardening too. You break up the ground so you can plant your seed young people don’t understand that term but I got you my brother I understood the first time you said it but platinum senior citizen i’m proud ✊🏾of it 🏫 😅😅🥰👩🏾‍🦲😍

    Cleaning up with music is law!!! It’s definitely true in Chicago because Soul Train aired at 11am. Cartoons from 8 - 10, do chores until 11am, watch Soul Train. Noon - TV off, radio blasting BMX, GCI or WNUA and deep cleaning!!

    Dang, the CH comment section is rough. Y'all are like the audience at amateur night at the Apollo. 😄
    I didn't realize that there were so many 'older' folks watching this channel. Go easy on the guy, he's a very respectful & gracious interviewer - especially compared to some of the more sensationalizing interviewers that are around now. His cultural/historical knowledge is actually better than typical, as far as the current younger generations are concerned. They are very much focused in 'their time.' At least he was respectful & open minded to understanding. A lot of the youngheads, now, couldnt care less about anything that happened before they were born. Check out the comments on anything that was brought back into the spotlight & u will see that. A lot of them are genuinely surprised that anything worth paying any attention to, ever happened more than 15 years ago. And even then, it's only noteworthy bc of the current video game or TV show association. A few months ago, I remember reading comments under old SNL skits, saying that they didn't know that Eddie Murphy used to be a cast member. There is always been the 'generational gap' deal but it's at a whole 'nother level in the digital era. Short attention spans & serious tunnel vision. Actually, they are pretty narcissistic, collectively speaking. But, then, ppl should also realize that the current younger gens were intentionally, socially conditioned towards being this way. Its not an accident, by any means. Cut him some slack, I think that he's doing alright, as long as CH doesn't become like u know who. 🧛‍♂️😄

    Thats a good point ....i never thought of that. Going from singing to acting is alot easier than going from acting to singing. Infact can you think of any major actor who who started a successful singing career? Eddie murphy, Ralph Carter tried it, and many others without much success
