I have a lifelong friend I met in middle school. In high school the first Sum 41 album dropped and my friend, a drummer himself, was like "yo their drummer is super under rated, not sure why more people don't talk about him". That really stuck with me and I started paying a lot closer attention to your drumming parts.
Closet Monster! They use to come out to New Brunswick pretty regularly. I even booked them a couple times in my small hometown of Sussex. I still rock their album "Killed the Radio Star" regularly. Rad!

I have this very vivid memory of seeing Sum 41 play at Edgefest ‘97 on the B-stage, in Saskatoon. Had no clue who you were. Blown away by the energy of the band. The guys had choreographed dance moves. It was incredibly entertaining. Loved it. And then you guys hung out in the crowd and watched the next bands. Oh the memories…
Those accents were next level lol. Love the vids, as a long time fan can’t wait to hear behind the scenes of how your sound developed as a band through all the records!

i know this is just a pipe dream and things never work out the way we would love them but how awsome , amazing an outright otherworldly would it be if you somehow managed to get back intouch with the band for like their final ever show or song or something since they ending.... it would be such a nice send off seeing the "proper" or "old school" line up play one last time for old times sake before the end man but i know this is just dreams my dude im just glad u are back doing something i can enjoy watching u do XD i started drumming coz of you!!! hahaha MUCH LOVE

Stevo, thank you so much for making these videos! I used to play in a couple Canadian punk bands around the time Sum41 was starting out. The bands were Midpoint and Deville. We never found success like Sum41, but were part of the same scene and at least got to do some Warped Tour dates, and toured with Good Riddance, Belvedere, Downway, and so on. Then you mentioned Closet Monster! We definitely played with them a few times and maybe even met them personally, so this makes me realize how small the world is. I'm looking forward to watching all your videos in the future and enjoying the nostalgia!

We had the hair, the Dickies shorts, reenacted the shenanigans from Cross Your T's and Gouge Your I's-we ran the Sum 41 gamut as far as we could. So glad to see you thriving and loving life. Hahahaa, this is fantastic. It kinda reminds me of Bigwig's "Girl in the Green jacket" off Unmerry Melodies. Except a bit more pop. On another note, i could listen to you tell old band stories, show stories, tour stories all day. A podcast would be unreal!

oooohh myy goodddddd, I've been waiting to hear someone acknowledge Astronaut on the internet for almost 3 decades. I remember the last time you guys played it and retired it because you were so sick of it. You had such a hit and chose to retire it and yet still made it. Everyone sang along with that one. Those were the times with the trampolines and the basketball nets. Also the suit and tie not for me in different accents is very El Hefe of you.
This channel was a great find and glad ur doing well. A natural in speaking too let alone the drums.

Sum 41 on my headphones everyday when i was a kid and FINALLY after all these years going to see them in Dublin!!! Man you had it all, you was the coolest guy in the band, and you gave it all away to be the coolest dad in the world!!!! LEGEND...... Hats off to you sir.
