Yeah I can remember triple tag matches because they had so many stars on one show. A lot of their main event smackdown matches would be on a high ppv show these days. I even bought the one Smackdown cover game released in 02 or 03 with a fully stacked roster. Only wrestling game I ever got into.
Although the gimmick of a one-legged wrestler only has a short shelf-life, I still thought they could've done a bit more with him. Would've been cool to see Angle or Taker help him get revenge on Brock.
The WWE rings today are very safe compared to what the wrestlers used to bump on back in the day. I myself have bumped in a stiff boxing style setup wrestling ring, & taking a bump on that is brutal. Imagine being 6'8" 300lbs. & using a jumping Legdrop as a finisher brother...sheesh! Hogan & Angle have had more surgeries than most.

I found the in ring stories they told with him and much bigger guys like Cena and Brock to be pretty damn excellent. They were all smartly thought out to where any offense he got in, and the sell by his opponents made sense, and really made him look good. A lot of times severe underdog matches sort of fall out of believability in terms of selling too hard certain things that shouldn't affect the bigger guy at all. That wasn't the case with Gowan. I thought all of his matches were really good.

@@louis3141 Anthony Robles is only an amateur wrestler not wwe he may deserve a spot in a sports hall of fame just not wwe idk lol i couldn't find steve chamberlain actually wrestling just one pic with hogan but nothing saying he was ever in wwe/wwf wcw or anything now the kerry von Erich you kinda got i did not know about his foot being partially amputated and him still wrestling thanks for that knowledge but that would make him one footed wrestler zach still the only one legged wrestler in wwe but both should be in the hall of fame i actually believe the whole von Erich family got put in
zach lived the dream on the best wrestling show ever. smackdown 2002-2003 had the best roster ever assembled.
