Just wanted to say you're the best, Gabe. I can't travel right now but you take us with you. It means a lot.
Those are temporary crosses on top of both spires, one collapsed during the earthquake and the other was also badly rattled so it was removed cause it was not stable, and it is on the ground next to cathedral, what you saw. They will put both tops up there once restoration is done. So both towers are now some 7m shorter

@@horseplop9 it was at the very beginning of the lockdown and suddenly entire city of 1 million had to run out to the streets, even the sick and mothers with just born babies from the hospitals, there were some crazy scenes
I enjoyed this ( and the rest of the. Croatia series) as it made me nostalgic for Croatia. Spent 12 days in 2018.
Hope you will stay longer in Zagreb and make more videos. One is not enough for this city. Stay well.

Hope you enjoy Serbia bro my family is from Yugoslavia and you have to go see Novi Sad! When my grandpa was in the JNA or military he served there and said it was the most beautiful city in former Yugoslavia. Its in the northern part of Serbia! Ill keep an eye out for your videos!

In this video you are showing a menu from "Pivnica Mali Medo" (Pub Small Bear); There you can find the best beer in Croatia: "Grička vještica" (Grička Witch), if you are still in Zagreb make sure to try "Grčka vještica" beer. They make their own beer, it's also a brewery, and it's quite something.

@@GabrielTravelerVideos Yes, I was so surprised when I saw him! It was in Zlatar, a small city about 50 kilometers northwest from Zagreb. His time with us was short but very interesting as he always talked about all the trips and countries he's been to!

The sundial isn't broken. According to orientation/position it shows time between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. The last digit is IV, not V. Divider line goes through I in IV so it looks like V. Abot accuracy, it shows "true time" not "summer time". You must add 1 hour. So in your video, according to sundial, it was about 3.45 p.m.

I was stationed in Zagreb for about 9 months in 1998...absolutely loved it. Been over 20 years, looks like it's barely changed which is a good thing..I noticed the trams are updated, some new restaurants up on "Cafe Alley" etc but mainly the same. I will go back some day
Big change around Zagreb, City center will not change as usual, but it’s much bigger and better developed than it use to be.

I remember the earthquake in march i felt it in the morning here in Ljubljana, Slovenia
I live in a building on the 5th floor near the center and it honestly felt like the building is collapsing.
Looks great and an oasis for a beer lover like me. I've been to five central European cities, Krakow, Budapest, Bucharest, Brasov and Split. I could add Seville and Porto in Iberia and Bath in England. They were all fascinating, had great pubs and restaurants, amazing history and architecture, felt relaxed and safe, and were just fun. Compare this beautiful city with the utter sh*t show that is going on in Kenosha, Wisconsin and the knife crime ridden capitals of London and Paris. The smaller European cities are just a delight to visit.

Gabriel, I visited Zagreb, two yrs.ago in December, it was cold , I travel by train from Slovenia the capital, the trip it was about less than two hours.

Hey Gabriel brilliant video man! Fair play to you for making these videos. Just a quick side note: whenever you see a word or name in croat that has the letter J in it, it is pronounced as Y. The letter Y doesn't exist in the croat alphabet instead J is pronounced as Y. Keep up the good work mate!
