I loved masonry the trade that changed my life. I love hod carrying and I loved spreading and furrowin the mortar and buttering every brick and striking out the mortar joints. Best money I've ever made as well as being a deckhand.

Always impressed at how easily you lay brick going forward. I find it much easier going backward. I'm also not a pro so there's that!

Quick question, you know the damp proof that goes on after the first few course of bricks, over time the mortar comes loose and falls out as cement doesn’t bind well to the plastic membrane. Does this weaken the wall and what’s best way to re point

Does anyone know if the interior brick walls have reinforcing bars? I have seen a couple of videos now and I haven't seen them put any on? Is this because they tie off to the exterior brick facade therefore providing more stability?

Stu, im not a bricky, But im building a concrete block wall for a pond at home. I need to join a 3 course high 100mm blocks to another block wall, whats the best ties etc or good way to do this mate ? Do i need ties or could i use right angle brackets fixed to each wall on each course ? Thanks in advance

Can this type of laying is possible in wire cut Indian bricks or only with this bricks?Any ideas Engineers,workers...coz bricks here in my hometown comes with a bit loss of its contour even in the wire cut bricks ...and also why don't you guys lay bricks cross row with double bricks ...
Is this hard work not saying I'm artistic and am good at this but I mean is it worth giving it a shot I like hard work but if it's too stressing and prim and proper then I dno if it for me

Do you think you could show some plans that you are working off of so we can tell how you know long or how high of a wall you are building...you have door and window openings too..it would cool to see what you are working off of...i am assuming you have the responsibility of going from the plans to the finished wall.....that would be great...thanks Stu
Or does a foreman or super come through ahead of you and just snap lines for you so you know where to lay the bricks?
Who ever the builder is will tell you what they want bricked set a speed pole 4half off the wall set a line and run it that easy
