Thanks for making these videos, very helpful for someone starting out.
Thanks for the advice. Wasn't sure if I was supposed to use one or the other only.
You have a very understandable way of advising us and certainly appreciate the videos, Thanx.
Thank you so much!!
Thank you Eric. Great video
Glad you liked it!
Great video, keep up good works thanks
Thanks for watching!
*you are a PPF master and I hope you're raking in all that $$$ while putting your talent/skillset to use- ALOT of people are protecting their new rides these days and willing to dish out the $$$ to those who know how to install PPF correctly!!!*
I appreciate the kind words!
Hey Eric, have you ever made your own digital templates, to be cut out using a vinyl plotter? How do you account for the stretch, is there a formula?
I have not.
if it is the rear fender of a car or doors, how do you prevent dust from falling off rubber? it seems like i already cleaned so much and still gets some dust from rubbers
Thats tough to be honest. I would say if you can't remove the rubber or trims, try and tape them off to prevent any dust or debris falling from behind.
Hey Erick do you have a video on your shop you can direct me to? I’m looking for a shop and your seems perfect size . How big is your shop square footage wise?
Our shop is just under 2000 square feet!
Do you ever used combination of alcohol and soap for your install in one bottle I heard of people doing that
Never use alcohol in the slip solution.
We can just use clay lubricant as slip solution right??
I would not recommend using clay lubricant as slip solution. Johnson’s baby shampoo and water only.
@@DriveProtected thanks for the reply ! I know you are the professional not me . Why is the baby shampoo better? I used to detail so it seems like such a funny thing to use haha.
Is it because a detail spray will not let the glue cure because it’ll be toooo slippery?
@stephenaceituno baby shampoo works the best. Allows for the perfect amount of slip needed, and once it dries out, the adhesive has a perfect bond to the paint.
what are your ratios for tack & slip solution? no one talks about this. Like how much water do you put in each and alcohol/baby shampoo?
This has been covered extensively by us and other channels out there. Search up "How to mix PPF solutions" and you will find many videos.
@@DriveProtected thanks
Do I need to "replace" all slip solution with tack one?
No you need both for a successful install.
I’m confused guys. You use Slip Solution, move the PPF around then pull it off and spray the Tack Solution around . What is the reason for the Slip Solution anyway?
Slip solution allows you to glide the film around. Tack solution does not allow the film to glide.
Recipe for tack and slip solution please ?
